the fan made ones are way more creative and insane.! I used to be balls deep in their cmmty I know steppskie is one of them they do this level of graphics with the voxels looks freaking amazing
I wish the massive blood spurts would only show up like that on gib kills, speaking of gib kills, it’s really strange seeing imps being gibbed from the SSG
I cant get this damn thing to run on my computer.. i got an 11500 i5 16 gigs ram and a 3050 rtx.. wtf i can hear the game running but its a black screen
it sounds like you could run it. my pc is an 8700k with 32gb ram and an rtx 3060. Its gotta be just something about your installation. When i first loaded it, it warned me about some missing files for the full experience and showed me where to find em.
It's interesting but a bit tacky looking imo and mouselook just looks weird in og Doom too, kind of messes with the intended look of gameplay Yeah really conflicted on it lol. I like the water floor

They should use orange for the fireballs, red looks weird. Overall the light sources are way too saturated making some places look like a Gamer RGB LED version of Doom.
I understand that for some this is really interesting and something they look forward to, but imho this is a grave mismatch of style and presentation, and pretty much in the uncanny valley. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of people who will enjoy raytracing in all kinds of games and maybe this will breathe new life into oldschool Doom, but this is definitely a HARD PASS on my behalf. I never thought I'd see the uncanny valley in low-end graphics, but somehow they managed to do that. Thx for chiling with me ppls! really appreciate it! cya soon :)
Adding ray traicing to 1993 Doom is like powering a medieval hut with nuclear powerplant and imposing 100% income tax.
a fun watch.
the future of gaming is going to be wild
not bad! and its really cool to see cheellos voxel models get some lighting on them! Shows the 3d of them even more.
I need doom 3 raytraced
Blood voxels should be a bit smaller but I do love the reflective blood pools
Wow.... I played a pc game in over 20 years... I would buy a new gaming computer just to experience this.
I like the included lights like lightbulbs. Doom 2 wouldn’t be possible to light like this without them.
I’ve seen voxel walls now, that’s gotta be added
that does weird stuff with some walls. some looked almost melted.
@@SDVHILzseriolih I'm glad it was at least tried. Maybe someday it can be tinkered with
They were Parallax, not voxel. The effect doesn't work very well in Doom
Thanks You for share this true Game 😊❤
Looks mighty sweet!
Love this 👊💯
This looks so kool
👍
Wonder if this will be allowed to be released as a mod for the new re-release. Looks like the updated doom I always wanted

@@adammurray8361 Balls deep? Don't you mean... KNEE DEEP!? Hahaha! Doom!
Good job and remembering to saved the game.are else that would be a Hustle.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ray tracing and voxels look beautiful, but vanilla open gl > this. I want to see them pixels when playing doom Doom darn it
Still using the shitty original 320x200 skybox xD
which version of doom 2 is this?? ive never seen the like. these graphics are clean af 😍
Im looking to get my first gaming pc next year. Will a rtx 4070 run this game smoothly in ray tracing?
i think so. i ran it on a 3060 so the next generation gpu should do as good or better.
You forgot about the double-barreled shotgun on the second level.
d'oh, you're right, I totally forgot about that room
Any chances of using a higher frame rate/resolution models for the weapons. The OG models give me headaches due to the low frame rate
maybe, i tried using brutal doom with this and it messed up the lighting pretty bad.
The voxel animations are baked into the models, it's easier said than done.
I wish the massive blood spurts would only show up like that on gib kills, speaking of gib kills, it’s really strange seeing imps being gibbed from the SSG
thats a good idea about the blood, and the SSG gibbing weaker enemies is from GZDoom which this runs on.
@@SDVHILzseriolih I use GZDoom as well, but it’s very rare for me to see enemies gun from shotguns. Especially how common it’s happening here

The rtx 3050 is holding you back. I don't think my rtx 3070 can run the game proper.
@michaels9917 dammit! I can't believe it takes so much resources to run! Shit I'm stuck to watching youtube vids I guess!

When was the last time you updated your drivers?
Try using a different source port

Yeah really conflicted on it lol. I like the water floor
the mouselook def made the Icon of Sin trivial cuz you can just aim right into his head without having to use that platform.
mouselook is not necessary, you can just play without
No voxel texture 😢
There are some parts that look good, but the lighting mostly looks terrible IMO.
well, in comparison to the original sector based lighting it looks way better imo, what parts look terrible to you?

I think they need to port this to other versions just not on Steam. I don't see why this hasn't happened yet?
well it requires ray tracing capable hardware. I am also not playing this on steam, I already had the wad files so its just raw GZDoom.
hey alex doscious, were you a master system kid? just curious (the YT channel logo in sega font)
Not master system but Genesis (Megadrive) was my first owned console which is why I chose that font, good eye ;)
Best game ever bro Aldo I Do not Get to Kill the lost boss😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Hey man, what did you use to make the monsters 3D?
part of the ray trace mod. voxel doom project.
Yes but does it work with Brutal Doom, that is the question.
it loads but it does not look good. the lighting is not working as intended with Brutal Doom sadly.
why do the monsters look like mine craft charrectors now ??
They voxellized the doom sprites in this mod
@@SDVHILzseriolih eh i dont like that one bit
The ray tracing makes them look blockier than in GZDoom.
I wonder how I can do it for the Nintendo Switch?
Never, it can't do Ray Tracing.
@@thedeegee1601 Aw man :(
Wish this can be played on Xbox series X.
According to google the Xbox Series X does in fact support ray tracing but idk if this particular version of Doom 2 is ported to the platform.
Too weak for Ray Tracing.
can it run Crysis? but can it run DOOM II?
the new benchmark lol

not well. lighting is kinda busted using brutal doom.

noise? like over my mic? if so thats my ac and its hot here lol

what pc?
I'll add that to description
Suicide all the time
blood is so fake it's distracting. apart from it, everything else looks pretty good... voxels are they way to go indeed.
yea the blood is strong even more so on groovy mode, I do turn it off eventually tho lol
