You bought one that is too small for your family.. I have one of those and I bought it 3 years ago.. you can't use cooking spray in it and you have to use the basket or the air will not circulate around the food . ..this one is the perfect size for 1 person.. I cook everything in mine and I've never put oil in it ..spray dissolves the non stick coating.. 3 years later the nonstick coating is still intact in mine
I have this same one,and it works amazing, this is my travel air fryer,you are not using this correctly, it's not for a family and if you do have a family, you just have to use it multiple times for one meal..it's only 1.9 quarts...
Unsure why you would make a video on a product that you are misusing and was not built for a family of your size. This product was designed by engineers that are way smarter than you or I and the basket is there for a very good reason. Try using the product the way it was designed.
You need a higher quality one...I have a bigger better quality one and it's amazing...also this product is only intended for single use,or someone that wants something quick,not a family of five, also it's just under 2 quarts in size,this is not for a family

You didn't use it appropriately. Also, you did not follow the maintenance instructions which is why you are having the cosmetic issues. Misleading review indeed since you did not follow all recommendations.
There are other reviews on RUclips with this same fryer and they are saying the same thing about the coating material coming off. Maybe it is for only 1 person to use it as well. That's why she suggested to buy the bigger one, which I may do as well.
Appreciate making others aware of the finish coming off at the bottom of the unit. Definitely a concern getting in the food. I saw a few reviews of others seems better results with Dash compact air fryer similar look. I live alone so don't need a larger one. Very good video, keep up the good work

I got mine in November of 2022 and the stoppers on the grate in the bottom have melted off.
