  • My one, my only, my queen! There are already a few Hurrem videos with this song, because I am slow as fuck, but I still wanted to make my own version, because this woman is so important to me. She did so much in her life, but beyond that, the reasons she is a huge inspiration to me is that after everything she suffered, she still managed to be happy and enjoy life and find love, she was not broken by her suffering.

    OK HONEY ... There are no words to say how much I love this video. No words. Honestly. You slap me in the face with it lol. I discovered Magnificent Century relatively recently and I'm watching it very slowly because eh, very long episodes and not enough free time, but I have to say that for now, the show conquered me, pushed me to read more about the Ottoman Empire and especially on Hurrem and Suleiman. And what I discovered only redoubled my love for this couple, this period of history, this country and especially, this woman. This incredible woman. She is definitely one of the most incredible women in the world.
    And this video makes her SO much justice, my god !!! You know, I was looking for videos on Magnificent Century some time ago to talk to Alexia and I had some difficulty finding a video about Hurrem that really pleased me to present it to her, to give a good picture of Hurrem. Now I have it, this video to share :D
    Already, the beginning of the video, with the "peace be with you" with Suleiman looking at her while she is dying, I love it SO MUCH, because it sounds to me like a goodbye from Hurrem to her husband (peace be with you now that I'm leaving) and in the same time a blessing from Suleiman for Hurrem, let her finally be in peace, even though I think it was not his state of mind at that time.
    The "divine soul" with her praying, AHHHHHH, that's my queen of matching lyrics that strikes again !! But beyond that, it's very beautiful visually, I love it

      Hi! I'm happy to hear(read actually 😅) that u liked it but i saw some wrong info historically and i would like to correct them. First of all Harem is nothing alike the one that u see on the series. It's a lot more complex and no men (including the Sultan himself) is allowed in. Editor wrote that she was the most powerful woman at the time but Kosem had more authority then her. But of course i cannot deny that Hurrem changed hundreds of rules and was given the first Haseki title at the time which was created for her by Suleyman (Suleiman). She ruled like a Valide Sultan but died before She could officially get the title. Hope u enjoy the series. It's a bit long tho u might get bored. I skipped some episodes while watching recommending the same. Take care 🖤

    • @KuningannaSansa
      @KuningannaSansa  3 года назад +1

      I've read that argument, but like with everything else in history, it's debatable. Ayse may have been the first Valide but she did not hold anywhere near as much power as Hürrem, imo. Especially before Suleiman's reign. Most historians I have read still cite Hürrem as the first of the Sultanate of Women.

    • @user-qj9wg2yl4t

      @@KuningannaSansa Ayşe was the first woman to obtain a powerful title while she was a slave, she was only below the sultan. The truth is that I have never read that it is something questionable, I have always read that Ayşe started it, then Hurrem, Nurbanu, etc. And just because one was more powerful than the other doesn't mean they were powerless. Ayşe was the first slave to become a Valide Sultana and is therefore considered the founder of the Sultanate of Women. Pd: sorry if there are any typing errors, I am using translator.

    • @KuningannaSansa
      @KuningannaSansa  3 года назад +1

      @@user-qj9wg2yl4t But just because she had the title (gained during her son's reign as far as I know) does not mean she was involved in diplomacy and ruling the way sultanas after her were. I like Ayse and I don't think she was powerless, Suleyman certainly respected her opinion a great deal, but she was not involved in politics to the same degree as Hürrem, Nurbanu and so on. Or at least, I have not read that she was. If you have information/sources suggesting otherwise, I'd be very interested :)

    • @user-qj9wg2yl4t
      @user-qj9wg2yl4t 3 года назад

      @@KuningannaSansa Ayşe herself was not very important in that. The women of the Sultanate of Women are considered part of it not because of their politics, but because of who she obtained great power as a female slave, and that is exactly what happened with Ayşe. Ayşe did not participate in politics, yes, but that does not mean that she cannot be in the Sultanate of women. After all, she was the first female slave to earn a title that only put her below the Sultan, Valide. And that's partly what the Sultanate of Women is about, who was the first slave to do such a thing. Greetings.

    "There has been no lady that had more authority" how about Valide Safie Sultan or Muazzama Kosem Sultan? The most powerful women in "sultanate of women" is Kosem.

      Kösem was powerfull because ottoman was getting weak and most of the padishahs were children when they first get the throne so they were easily manipulated. But hurrem easily controlled the king that almost 10 years older then her. And kösem didnt have many rivals when she first came unlike hurrem had mahidevran, ibrahim and mustafa and supporters of mustafa. If kösem lived in the time of suleiman she couldnt even see the sultans face.

      You can’t compare them, for Kosem was easy her husband was weak and died early, while Hurrem was the legal wife of the greatest Ottoman Empire ruller Sultan Suleyman Khan and yet she became the most powerful woman alive in that times I don’t think you can compare Kosem with Hurrem , Hurrem had power along with the greatest sultan, Kosem had power with children as sultans or with The mad Ibrahim I this may hurt you but it is the true , no other woman achieved so much power as Hurrem while the ruller was strong in the Ottoman Empire.
