TY Doug! I have the same rice cooker, but in white The white one came out first. The main reason I bought the rice cooker was the stainless steel bowl Stay safe
I love my Aroma rice cooker. Can do so much in it. Have the larger one. I also add a little extra water, for sticky rice for the chinese dishes. Did a Balsamic chicken in it, chicken was so tender and delicious. Enjoy your aroma
Hi I just bought it but I am having issues. When the cook switch goes off and switch to warm . The rice is not fully cooked…. The grain of rice is soft on outside but still a bit hard on the inside. Why is this happening? I have to switch cook 3 times and keep adding more water.
Remember the old Cooks Essential rice cooker from QVC? Is this one bigger? I like to make a small package of yellow rice, add creamed spinach (I microwave it) then melt cheese over it. Might work in this!
Have one of these with the non-stick pot. Like the idea of a Stainless that can't be scratched, though I care for mine. I do have an issue with Boil-over when doing more than a cup of water. (I use bulk rice, and the general recipe is 2/1 water to rice). Admittedly, I have not yet used a higher price rice in it, only the lower-end stuff, and I never pre-rinse my rice before cooking. Not sure how much that affects things though. Still, aside from that I like this little cooker. A bit of a sucker for small kitchen appliances, but this is still one of my favorites.
I contacted Aroma Co. to suggest they offer stainless steel inner pots for their other rice and multicookers, if only as an optional additional purchase. I have never liked the stew of chemicals that go into the manufacture of nonstick coatings, and I believe them to be hazardous over long term use due to heat and acids leaching out toxins which then absorb into the food being cooked. Not to mention the noticeable deterioration over the life of the product--flaking, chipping, or scratches exposing the aluminum underneath.
@@COOKINGWITHDOUG Thank you for your fast response! I was deciding on which brand I should get, either the Aroma or Elite Gourmet. They’re both stainless steel inner.

I agree, Doug. Tossing in some random canned goods, works.

is there any way to make the rice not mushy or overcooked when you're using this rice cooker?
Sounds like it was good Doug! TY😊
I have a rice cooker that I haven’t used in awhile. I think I will start using it again.

How does it hold up to brown rice, quinoa etc?
