I was so very excited to see (hear) Ajahn Sumedho giving this Dhamma talk with/to the Sri Lankan monks who have a Monastery that I attend to occasionally in Tomball (NW Houston), Texas, USA. It is one of only a couple of Theravada monasteries in the area.
Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
On a different note, if the translator was not translator directly what Ajahn Sumedho Mahathero was saying then I hope the monks had enough English to realize this and to seek out what he was indeed teaching. Ajahn’s experience and wisdom have made him one of the great teachers of the Buddha’s Asana in our time. The Dhamma-Vinaya is the greatest truth, good in the beginning, good in the middle and good in the end. If practice one can have the peace of the Buddha Sakyamuni today, here and now. One need not wait to die or reach Paranibana to experience that bliss, that lasting peace and live one’s life in it and sharing it with others.
As for the CC translation, it may be machine generated. Not all have the actual translated or even directly added subtitles. Perhaps someone can redo these to best reflect what Ajahn said.

wasn't there any Monk to interprete this valuble dhamma talk given by Ajan Sumedho Maha Thero. . that man is not interpreting the exact and right thing what the maha thero is telling. otherwise it's a very valuble occasion for the Buddhist people in Sri Lanka.
It's a pity that the English subtitles are very bad It 's like they are done by a machine not by a person because there are a lot of errors. If you read the subtitles, you will not understand the correct version given by Ajahn Sumedho.
That's true. He was telling what is in his mind not the translation of the what Venerable maha thero said.

Great sermon. However it's a bad translation. This happens too many times.
Palayak laba genimata ho athivana Bhava thanhavai Vibhava thanhavai nirikshanaya karanna kiyala thamai unvahanse kiyanne.
