Loved your reaction! And you captured the beauty of the performance when you said it was a masterpiece, and you could hang it on a museum wall. Totally agree!
This remake was done with such Grace and Respect of another Artists message whom predicted todays “world” we share, I grew up with Simon and Garfunkel they were “folk songs” I guess you can call it, … such class in this remake and this IS how all re~makes should be. Goose bumps! I’m a big FAN of disturbed at the ageof 62 been to 10plus shows doing another Feb 22,2024 fists in the air!
david draiman be a classically trained cantor he also had the the flu and a fever of of 101 at this performance it be why he be sittin down they was worried he mighten get dizzy yet he he totally nailed that
Great reaction (as was your reaction for the studio version)! His voice is phenomenal! He actually had a cold on the night of this performance but decided to go on anyway.
You should definitely react to some of their original stuff - it's an amazing contrast. Down With the Sickness, Stricken and Indestructible are fantastic.
Hi Zack! I'm not a metal head, but this song had me checking out more of their catalogue. I absolutely love "The Light" and "A Reason to Fight" - both awesome songs/videos. They are still metal, but the lyrics will blow your hat off! Please choose one of these for your second introduction to Disturbed. David Draiman's vocals (and the band) are off the chart. Thank you so very much! btw - he was very sick while performing this so he was seated instead of standing (his band mates thought he might pass out!), and he was auto-tuned without his knowledge, as they thought he might not be able to hit certain notes while sick. Not trying to undermine his performance - any day he wasn't sick - he could knock it out of the park!!
There's a similar performance with a cover to a Black Sabbath song called "Changes" by Charles Bradley. It hits different due to the personal effect is has with the singer. Best recording for me is posted in the Toronto Star Channel but any live recording from this guy you can feel it.
This was such an amazing performance, especially since David was extremely ill with the flu. You should definitely check out more Disturbed. They just released a new video with Ann Wilson from Heart that is amazing. I also love their song Reason to Fight. Great reaction ❤❤
Draiman did another live version of this song on X Factor Australia that didn't auto tune his vocal. It sounds better to me even though he's pitchy sometimes. ruclips.net/video/qISjcN98jAc/видео.html This isn't the worst use of auto tune that I've heard. Currently that has to be Celine Dione's cover of "All By Myself" in 2008. But the robotic effect on his pitch slides stands out to me. His vocal pitch is snapped to the lines of standard 440 Hz tuning, like no natural voice can perfectly do. If you're curious to see it graphically, @wingsofpegasus has tons of videos analysing isolated vocals to show the use of manual and automatic pitch correction that's been rampant everywhere in music for the past 20 years (even on remastered releases of older albums), including for Draiman's performances of this song. ruclips.net/video/v_h9-Cpn_uY/видео.html
DON’T TELL ME is a must watch. I’ve been a fan of HEART since the beginning. Actually saw them in concert in 1978. Ann & David together…❤️🔥 the song is 💔😭. In regards to this song, as a Pentaholic. Even they can’t compare to this version. 🤗💋🥰 oh one more thing..I do have a sense of humor and I don’t like Conan either. 😁
Same song, different message. The original saw something coming, but didn't completely encapsulate it. Perhaps didn't fully understand the implications. This version comes when everything implicated in the 60s has come to fruition. Plus his voice manages to encompass the sadness and anger of the realisation.
Your smile says it all. THAT'S why we love music!

This song is timeless - and open to interpretation
Disturbed with Ann Wilson “Don’t tell Me” is 🔥

Disturbed just released a new song called Don’t Tell Me featuring Ann Wilson from Heart. David and Ann’s voices are amazing together
❤ David is so totally awesome at all he does. But this was beyond fantastic, wonderful, breathtaking.... 😁❤
thank you for your reaction
He understood the assignment

It says something when Paul Simon said he really loves the version that Disturbed did.
I believe Paul Simon told David Draiman that this was his song now. I would have to agree. Great reaction!
Simon and Garfunkel's version is/was heard, Disturbed's version is listened too. It's an experience.
The fact that David was very sick at this time even makes this performance even more amazing.......
He had a damaged vocal cord and required surgery.
@ Yes, 3 months later he had surgery 18th Aug 2016
Great reaction (as was your reaction for the studio version)! His voice is phenomenal! He actually had a cold on the night of this performance but decided to go on anyway.
You sing with Simon and Garfunkel, David makes you listen! Good job!
So amazing! The growl is awesome! Thanks Zack! ❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
👍👍Awesome performance. The MV is also a must see. 🖖❤
The Live Version was EPIC!!!🥰

Hold on to the memoriee.... A reason to fight..... etc.
I've heard down with the sickness but I feel like it's been like 15 years at least
@@zack_reacts Then I'd recommend starting with Stricken. It's a banger!
I love your reactions!
He has a new song with MEGA-Superstar, Ann Willson from Heart ❣️😎🤟

My favourite Disturbed songs are Stricken and Inside the Fire... 😍
Disturbed has several covers. Land of confusion is another Good one.
Your mind is about to be blown 😎

Definitely have to listen to The Light. It cuts through so hard

Paul Simon has a higher voice, whereas Dave has fabulous range on the bottom end too. Its amazing what an artist can do with another artists song
BTW, it might be worth watching some Conan and Norm MacDonald. Very funny.

I really hate covers in general , but there are two i love , this one and Hurt by Johnny Cash
Oh and Joe Cocker With a Little Help From My Friends at Woodstock 1969
