Fun fact: the Dilophosaurus in the movies is actually drastically undersized compared to the real animal. The actual Dilophosaurus was about the size of a grizzly bear, meaning that the original larger mold is technically at a more accurate minifig scale!
And velociraptor in the films are drastically oversized and misrepresented with scales, instead of feathers. While I appreciate the films, and the book’s original author, Michael Crichton, I was disappointed to find that the raptors were misrepresented, because not every creature needs to be human-sized and aggressive-looking to be scary.
the most recent triceratops is actually a nasutoceratops, lego just wasnt informed before making the set which makes it a get away scenario not for a new mold
Lol I feel like Lego did know it wasn't a trike but literally didn't care because it was easier to reuse the trike head instead of making a new nasutoceratops head
I do really love lego dinosaurs! I do have a few things to say obviously. One lego should definitely have a brachiosaurus, my favorite dinosaur, aswell as a spinosaurus, parasaurolophus, allosaurus, stegosaurus and apatosaurus. The new Jurassic world dominion dinosaurs are pretty cool, but the giganotosaurus should have its own head mold and the theri should not have raptor claws on its feet. My personal favorite is unknown. I really wish I had the 2015 T. rex that comes in orange, because although not super realistic, I like to have color variety. I have the Rex in tan and med nougat, which is a kinda boring color scheme. The raptors size is about the size of an actual allosaurus or carnotaurus. Almost all of the lego dinosaurs are actually way out of scale for scientifically accurate dinosaurs, the new dilophosaurus is about right for the real creature however. It’s unfortunate lego does not make scientifically accurate dinosaurs, but the JW style is cool! It’s also unfortunate how expensive some of the best dinosaurs are. Baryonyx is supposed to like crocodilian like. Also fun fact: Pterosaurs technically are not dinosaurs, they are flying reptiles. Great list brad!
Fun Fact: A lot of dinosaurs like raptors couldn't pronate their hands, so lacking wrist articulation is technically more realistic. As much plastic as is in these dino models though I'd love to see some elbow joints added.
I really wished they would release a wave 2 and include sets like the Amber Mine Cave with Grant & The Dimetrodon's, Dodgson's Demise with the pod train, Lewis Dodgson, and the Diolophosaurus, and easily the one I wanted to see the most, the Malta Chase with the Demon Carnotaurus & the Allosaurus. the Demon Carnotaurus would of been such an awesome toy dinosaur to own since it's been an iconic part of Jurassic Park history since the original Kenner toy from 1994, and especially since Nanmu Studio did a fantastic job recapturing the look of that iconic creature in their recently released Ranger 2.0 with 4 figures in total. Lego would easily have one of the best if not the best Lego Jurassic Park/World dinosaur toy in the future if they finally gave us a set with the Demon Carnotaurus included.
One I really want is the mobile command center from Lost World, always loved it. Sure it would just be more tyrannosaur, but I’d be totally fine with it. Also maybe the game trail, big set with no actual playset, one of each of the hunter vehicles, one of each of the dinos (other than Mamenchi, cause that’d just be too big). I want a Para so bad! Hopefully they’ll do 30th anniversary for that movie just like the first one. Or heck, just a collection of dinos that haven’t been done yet but were in the LEGO Jurassic World game.
For the t-rex and atrociraptor breakout set, instead of a t-rex they should've had an Allosaurus. At the same time, i think the tan rex and the green rex from the other set could pass as Buck and Doe so we could re create Rexy meeting Buck and Doe in lego version.
Surprised that the Giganotosaurus wasn't on here, it's by far my favorite of all the newer style dinos, it's also the biggest (which makes it better via cool factor)
5:16 the tail isn’t unique to the baryonyx btw, the Bary’s only unique part is the head, since the rest of the baby comes from the Indoraptor, just by looking at the first bary’s hands and feet, sickle claws on the toes and thumbs, not very baryonyx like if you ask me
And the second bary is more accurate with the no thumbs also with the way the claws are on the green one it makes it almost look like the actual baryonyx hands that were lateral instead of horizontal
If realism is part of your criteria for the quality of a dinosaur figure, then wrist rotation should be a point against it. Theropods in general were not capable of rotating their wrists. Anyway, I'd put the Giganotosaurus at the top of the list, at least in place of the Indominus rex. It's just a very impressive looking figure, and I honestly think it had a much better color scheme then both variants of Indominus. Here's to hoping LEGO rereleases it in a future set. Ditto for the Ankylosaurus, I really like that one.
I have the the grey trex from that robot trex set it’s my fav because it looks accurate to most the movies it should be the main lego trex for the jw sets
To be honest I prefer the second baryonyx with the 2020 indominus rex hands. The original baryonyx just had the original indominus hands, so it had 4 fingers on each hand instead of 3 which makes it look hella weird.
I think they are terrible lol. However, if others like them then that's great, but I think they look really bad, and a lot of the smaller ones have no movement and feel like cheap rubber to me.
surprisingly the larger dilophosaurus figure is more sceintifically accurate, as dilophosaurus could reach heights of 6 feet and be as long as 20 feet.
I have every dinosaur here wxcwpt the triceratops, I’m a BIG Jurassic world fan but then I kinda went of it for a while but I’m back to being a fan aagaon 😅
I gotta disagree. I like the Tickle Chicken except for the figures lack of actual feather molds. I also like like Giga, which reuses the I-Rex's head mold. I wish they'd release an updated Spino, tho
pteranodon is not a dinosaur, and you can call some colour schemes realistic. We've got preserved melanosomes from some dinosaurs (such as psittacosaurus, a relative of triceratops) that allow us to tell what colour they were
Dino fun fact: Not all dinos opened their mouths all the way like how you see in artworks. Some studies (I don't remember the source) show that the T-rex only opened its mouth maybe 40 degrees unlike the close to 80 degrees shown in art and some toys
Sucks how modern dilophosaurus doesn’t have any body movement whenever the old one did. It probably would’ve been easier to just change the colors of the original version and put it in the set
Fun fact: the Dilophosaurus in the movies is actually drastically undersized compared to the real animal. The actual Dilophosaurus was about the size of a grizzly bear, meaning that the original larger mold is technically at a more accurate minifig scale!
I never knew that! Thanks for the fun facts!
Came down here to say this, so take my like instead ;)

I have both dilophosaurus and I just act like one is a baby😅
In the book is more accurate to the real animal I believe
the most recent triceratops is actually a nasutoceratops, lego just wasnt informed before making the set which makes it a get away scenario not for a new mold
True
Lol I feel like Lego did know it wasn't a trike but literally didn't care because it was easier to reuse the trike head instead of making a new nasutoceratops head
@@ToastTheThe i mean, they couldn't care to do much with the giga so they went "screw it" and just gave a indominus rex trex arms and a sail.
I could also see it as a trike would sell better than a nasto would
most
I have the newer velociraptor (Blue) and Beta. Sometimes I use Beta as Blue because of how similar they are.
I got the old blue one
And the first indominus
I have old blue and new blue and beta and baby blue
I do really love lego dinosaurs!

Looks like they heard you. Lego Brachiosaurus is coming June 1st, 2023!
They will make a allosaurus and stegosaurus soon!
Fun Fact: A lot of dinosaurs like raptors couldn't pronate their hands, so lacking wrist articulation is technically more realistic.
As much plastic as is in these dino models though I'd love to see some elbow joints added.
I would love a Jurassic park visitor center set from the original movie
Same! I don't know why they've only done 2 or 3 sets from the original film
Me to
I'm still waiting on the Lego Spinosaurus.

I so agree with the Malta scene with demon since demons my favorite dinosaur in the movie.

I actually think that the quetzalcoatlus is popular
Keep it up Brad. You’re small now but your content is amazing so you’re definitely gonna blow up.
Thank you Evan! Growth has been pretty slow lately; I hope it speeds up again soon! Thanks for your kind words
Surprised that the Giganotosaurus wasn't on here, it's by far my favorite of all the newer style dinos, it's also the biggest (which makes it better via cool factor)
Yeah, I figured I had enough trex types on the list that I like better. Thanks for commenting though! What's your other faves?
@@bradsbrickpostt. Rex type dinosaurs are called theropods
The raptor from the Dino sets a few years back had much more accurately scaled raptors.
Those were Coelophysis.

I’d love if Lego made the Spinosaurus or a new Stegosaurus
Therizinosaurus: What About Me?
Spinosaurus: Me Too?
Which triceratops had those studs????
Oh ok
I enjoy the Pteranodon model as well, but I do think it loses out to Quetzalcoatlus
I have the OG Lego Dino theme Triceratops

I want lego T-Rex With Set is awsome
Most lego Fans cant get enough of deinonychus (raptor) i cant get enough of lego pteranodons
Again man I absolutely love your videos, ideas, and top 10s keep up the great work!!
Thanks Michael! I'm doing my best! Hoping to hit 10k soon!
Hopefully the Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary contains more awesome and new dinosaurs.🤞
It will! Have you not seen the leaks?
@@chiqstersbruh2495 Yeah I saw them recently, very happy to be getting a brachiosaurus
The Barry onyx is a spinosaurus!
No
I think the grey version of the indominus represents its dead twin
Bro, i got my Indo-Raptor for 7 bucks.
Thats a steal.
Hey question, what about Lego Dino Attack?
You know What would be nice a brachiosaurus
I think the upcoming Jurassic Park wave actually has one! 🦕
Awesome list! Definitely do more
I'm working on a list right now! Not dinos, but should be out tomorrow! Thanks for the encouragement!
Jurassic world dominon was nice 👌
5:38 Can someone tell me what set this is with the raptor and the yellow truck, I have this set but don't even know from what theme it is
I also like the Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus Lego dinosaurs
Very cool video!
We need a new Lego spino
Agreed
Yea I agree I also want a Lego spino
Great vid! Is there an up2date online image gallery somewhere of every LEGO dinosaur/prehistoric animal?
And i want the brachiosaurus lego is so cool
And I would love the Pryoraptor
What’s the website you use to get the dinosaur only 11:03
Would like to know too
Classic T-Rex is my favorite, I liked when the dinosaurs were smaller
Whould like to know where you whould put the brachi and the stego lol
Fact Pteranodons aren't actually dinosaurs but prehistoric reptiles :D
I have the the grey trex from that robot trex set it’s my fav because it looks accurate to most the movies it should be the main lego trex for the jw sets

Where is the unofficial spinosaurus?????
I'm on the sauropod bandwagon 🦕
Unofficial
4:30 my baryonyx cant stand right and i tought it was for everyone but looks like mine has a error
If it's the new one that is still available at stores Lego will send you new pieces to replace it
My number one is the Brachiosaurus
Barionix👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!
I gotta tell you, the olive green dilofo saurus is my favorite!

My personal favourite lego dinosaur is the therizinosaurus.
What do you think of the dinosaurs from the Dino Attack theme?
I think they are terrible lol. However, if others like them then that's great, but I think they look really bad, and a lot of the smaller ones have no movement and feel like cheap rubber to me.
I have the indoorraptor but I lost its leg😢
What about therizino and Giga
By that logic, it would be more minfig scale for the raptor size to be the same as the pyroraptor
Where can I buy only the dinosaurs like you showed in the video?
Bricklink
What about the giganotasaurs
surprisingly the larger dilophosaurus figure is more sceintifically accurate, as dilophosaurus could reach heights of 6 feet and be as long as 20 feet.
Ah yes. The kaiju sized Dilophosaurus is the most accurate we have ever seen!

I had like, 5 of these.
Which ones?
I bought a lego Indominus rex OG for 11.25 USD on amazon.. so i dont know about that price range in the video.
Me seeing my ankylosaurus: YES YES YES!

Me also seeing my Charlie and Echo: 😢
Excellent list. Why has Lego never molded a bantha? Only rideable in game.🤠
fact; the t rex in the t rex & atrociraptor set is actually an allosaurus, but for some reason it's a t rex
awesomeeee
Dinosaur!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😂🎉
great list, but you forgot about the Giganotosaurus :,-(
Indoraptor reminds me of LEGO DIno Attack/Dino 2010.
My favorite Lego dino that I have is the quetzal
I don't even know that one! I'll have to look it up.
The only reason I don’t like the indoraptor is because it is difficult to make it walk on all fours

I think the best Lego dinosaur is the carntaurus in the set based of of camp cretaeceas but that’s cause it’s my favorite dino
And the new Dilophosaurus Isnt acurate but the big one is more also the dilophosaurus should have a neck which Is Not Goin up
Fun fact the trex is a dino and the mosasaurs is a bird
With the original being the exception, its unforgivable when Lego makes a dinosaur figure that has no movable legos, arms, or head.
