  • Nirona, is a small village in Kutch, Gujarat. From the outside, it looks like any other typical Indian village, But Nirona is a powerhouse of Kutch art & handicraft. The village is a home to Padmashree Awardee, Abdul Gafur Khatri and his family, who have kept the 400-Year-old ancient Rogan art alive. Nirona is the only village in the world practicing the Rogan art today.
One of the Rogan art paintings was gifted to Former USA President Barak Obama by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from Roger Art, Nirona is also home to other Unique art forms like the copper bell art and Laquer art. The ancient art forms were practiced by families for many generations.
