In this song (Snuff out the Light) Yzma talks about all she's done to retain her beauty and believes that by snuffing out the light of the sun, she can be young and beautiful again

She has this whole cut song about how she tried to find ways to use her father's mortician skills and use them to preserve her own beauty. But when that failed to work, it just made her realize that what was causing the beauty to fade in the first place was the sun. So she reasoned, kill the sun, reamain young. The song is called "Snuff Out the Light" if anyone wants to search it up. It's a really fun villain song.
Actually this theory makes a lot of sense, since in the deleted plot of The Emperor's New Groove (or The Kingdom of the Sun, as it was called then), it was actually mentioned that Yzma's powers came from The Underworld, as she explains in the song "Snuff Out the Light".

Because Kuzco was so young, he couldn't remember, so Yzma "cared" for Kuzco because she was a well known presence in his family's rule for "many, many years" so she became a temporary stand in empress because Kuzco had no other family members to rule in his parent's place. I believe that's where Yzma's obsession comes to rule. She became power hungry and obsessed while ruling that she'll go through any means to do so again. Even kill her adopted ward.
Highly doubtful. The two kingdoms are way different, one is governed by a king and queen, the other is ruled by an Emperor or Empress, while nearly identical in roles there are different ways that they go about their roles, and so I find it hard to believe that they would change their governing system in Corona just for one spoiled annoying guy.

And Gods definitely exist in the universe, since in "The Emperor's New School" there's an episode about a wish granting sky god, and another epsiode mentions Viracocha, the Inca creator god.
I suppose it could be possible I know that a lot of Mythology is intertwined so maybe Greek Mythology could be intertwined with Mayan or Aztec Mythology and you can tell by the decorations that Kuzko's kingdom is either Mayan or Aztec and they do look similar to Hades' potions.

Well, its true In the Series "Heros of Olympus" by Rick Riordan it was confirmed. Gods have different aspects and names to fit the culture that worships them. So all the demigods and gods are connected.

Now, similar to Meg, she makes a promise to give her soul and serve Hades... but what if Yzma asked for access to all of Hades potions, offering up her talents in science and the dark arts to create other potions for future Hades schemes? He agrees and allows this human to generate potion after potion, all while she grows older. She doesn't make EXACTLY what he wants, but what doe sit matter? She'll be dead some day and he'll get her soul. But what if the reason she wanted to be a master Chemist, to have access to all those potions... was so that she could outsmart the God of the Underworld!?! So she could create a potion that made her immortal, thus would not have to do Hades' bidding in the long-run.! Just a thought...
Given her color scheme I would go with Ursula. Little mermaid involved Greek gods. Triton is Poseidon’s son in the myth. Ursula had potions and could have taught Yzma. Hades has only one potion and doesn’t make more. I don’t think he is the maker of the potion.
