As someone who officially owns a 2021 Camry XSE, it's a great car. Especially if you can get the XSE V6 version because the performance makes this car so fun to drive. I recently added a Borla S-Type cat-back exhaust system and OMG, it really brings out the V6 sportiness of this car. Oh and by the way, the quad tip should be single tip because the outer tip on both sides of the exhaust system is fake. Go up to next time in person and look at the outer tips. They are literally welded on to the other tip with no openings. It's purely non functional and for looks only. I was quite disappointed when I found out which led me to the entire exhaust change out. And for the better because I'm getting a lot of compliments saying my cars sounds like a Lotus, or a GT-R even. Not bad right? But anyways...... Honda Accords are excellent cars too but they took a different approach. They did away with their V6 option and opted for a turbo charged inline 4cy motor. I was thoroughly disappointed and wondered why everyone is always falling over themselves praising this car. I was very disappointed. It was loud inside, closing the doors sounded like I was slamming a tin can shut. The handling was a bit clumsy. The 4 cyl motor felt rougher than others I ha driven. The dashboard / infotainment was dated. Overall it felt unrefined. There are so many other good options out there. But I also know that many consumers lease, and many more also don't keep their vehicle for 10+ years, and that in my opinion voids the main perceived benefit of buying a new Camry. I would buy the Accord over the Camray (John Davis from Motor Weeks pronunciation) all day long. I’ll wait for the next gen Accord.
the accord is extremely nice. The only thing stopping people from buying it is the exterior, but it can grow on you
I drove an SE version. My expectations were high considering all the gushing that many always give this car.
They must sell a lot of these based on perception only and without exploring all the other solid alternatives available today. Don't get hung up on the Toyota name and test drive something else before settling.
Waaàah,,😭😭😭
The truth is basically the opposite of everything/most of what you just said. You must've accidentally turned on Opposite Mode.
@@ThatCarGuy2 I have actually driven two of them. I drove a brand new LE version on a test drive. The SE was a rental. I found the same characteristics in both. Maybe you're one of those people that I was referring to.
I have a Camry SE and it drives great.
@@ThatCarGuy2 There is definitely better out there but if YOU are satisfied that is all that matters.
I have 2018 (the same generation ) and I would disagree with the back seat space. for a Camry I think it's kinda small, with the way that I am sitting, a little layed back, my knees are digging into the seat when in the back, and I'm 5'-11". My buddy has camry as well and they kinda struggle with 2 child seats.
Shoulda got the Avalon if you needed that much room or an suv. Who has kids and then decides on a sedan for the family. I wouldn’t
Very accurate review
Loved the review, 2021 Sierra would be cool
Updated design
Keep it up
So they didn't mention it's in the segment with the Nissan Altima ?? Oh okay !!
TRD does give more in terms of esthetics and HP, but I would still pick an Accord over this one
Toyota has the best infotainment system in my opinion
I like Toyota’s interface too with the large split screen for the Home Screen
but I think just about everyone else on here will laugh so hard at you for that comment.
@@naveenthemachine idk why 😂 some luxury brands infotainment system is stuck in the early 2000s
@@zhanazhana1001 like who?
@@naveenthemachine Acura for sure, Audi, bmw, jag. It just feels like they splurge on everything else and the tech is okay.
@@zhanazhana1001 I’ve heard bmw I drive is really good
Acura has that touchpad. And Jaguar / Land Rover yeah I Agree
I would take a Camry for not offering a CVT in any trims.
Except the hybrid though
No CVT's is the best thing about Camry.
Rumor has it the Camry is going to get the coupe like treatment next gen ... just like the accord
I hope not that's why I switched to Camry...and the turbo engines .
No CVT and AWD?
Yes!
I only go with the v6 😎
Agreed
"That pesky Honda Accord" 😇
@@naveenthemachine what’s your deal with Toyota, why do you hate Toyota so much?
@@naveenthemachine just asking
I have had Honda Accords for 15 years and have just switched to Camry.. They are still good however second place.. they have fallen in reliability..
@@charlesjackson1700 who’s fallen in reliability?
@@sammyjammy6647 Not sure what you're asking ? However I will answer it with this. I bought new Hondas for 15 years.. I had a 2019 EXL 2.0 that I sold last year and got a Camry. I had trouble with the turbo on my car leaking intermediately. Also some glitches with the infotainment center.. I sold it and bought a new Camry 2020.
Previously I had never had any issues with my Hondas.. I always liked Honda and Toyota. Since I started having issues with the Honda so I went to Toyota.. It has been great and I have had it for a year and 2 months now. Turbo engines are not as reliable as naturally aspired engines.. I never keep a card much past 60k.. if I have trouble with a car starting around 3 or 4K I get annoyed like I did when I used to buy GM cars and got rid of them... I still like Honda's however their reliability has slipped from previous years.
Did Mpg #s include hybrid? Hmmm.
As a former Camry Owner, its is no longer in the affordable price category. I consider it now a lower end 'luxury' car."
Still this '21 Camry looks great. Just be nice if it was a little more cheaper. I got the 18 Kia Optima/K5 almost 2 years and it almost as good as the Camry. Thanks to Lyn and Guest Co-Host Mike for this good review. Since My Brother in Law's 2003 Avalon might soon need to be retired hitting 250,000 miles, I give him this video clip for him to check out as he loves Toyotas.

Hell no. In California, you talking about $4000-6000 over that price !
They need more lights in the front

New center stack looks stupid, you can see how blanked off old a/c vents, ruins the lines for me
I’ve seen worse. Ford Explorer platinum
The thumbnail makes it look like a SUV
Whenever I hear the name Camry a small part of me dies
Good. The rest of us prioritize value, reliability, comfort, and peace of mind in the ownership experience.
@@DoctorSkillz At the expense of driving a fairly soulless appliance. At least this generation doesn't look as dumpy and unattractive as they have in the past, but I still never understood people who lease or buy brand new Camry's because they're "reliable", unless they intend to keep it for 10+ years for that reliability advantage to come into play, which many people don't.
@@Stressless2023 People are holding onto their cars longer and longer, we'll beyond the common warranty period. Moreover, time is money. Have you had to take your car in for service? I can guarantee the entire experience is needlessly time consuming.
@@DoctorSkillz I definitely agree that plenty of people buy their vehicles new and keep them well beyond the warranty period (I've owned my 2006 Acura TL for 13 years, bought it 2 years old certified used, still love it even after 1 transmission rebuild and some glitchy interior electronics)... But I also know that many consumers lease, and many more also don't keep their vehicle for 10+ years, and that in my opinion voids the main perceived benefit of buying a new Camry. I'm aware that plenty of consumers may enjoy the Camry for their own specific reasons, but I also see alot of consumers who buy them new solely based on a perceived reliability advantage, and I find it strange to buy an appliance-like Camry brand new with no intention of keeping it until that perceived reliability advantage can prove itself.
@@DoctorSkillz I prioritize reliability, sexy looks inside and outside, and a big item that no one offers anymore: a naturally aspirated v6

In Canada the Hybrid XSE gets a standard size sunroof, but the 4cyl or 6cyl XSE gets a panoramic, so no Hybrid for me 😂

How tall is Mike?
Why does it look bigger to me for some reason?
It's because the 2020 Camry was reviewed by Micah, who, even though he has an average 5'10 frame, will make the car look smaller than Lyn.
Same here. I thought it looked like an SUV version of the Camry from the thumbnail .
Why does this xse not have a sunroof, my se has a sunroof
On the XSE it’s optional
If you get the gasoline models, the 4 cylinder XSE and xle are available with a pano roof. But it’s standard if you upgrade to the XSE v6 or xle v6
