Here is a tip, just place a huge row of nets anywhere then you will catch everything because it goes under the rafts and the nets catch it

I think this game is missing a more involved crafting system. Maybe something like in TUG, where you drop the right objects on the ground and then hold a key down to craft. The combination of nearby items is what decides what you craft.
