    Good job on rehabilitation of the species. Button Quail is so distinct at every stage of development . I love their markings.

      I just had some hatch last week, they are so very precious ❤️ I tried a forced air incubator and could not get consistent temps or humidity at all. I have since hatched eggs in my snake vivarium twice lol

    Still chuckling about when I first found your stuff on tiktok and i was saying "Faythen farms (fathen farms)" because i didn't realize they were two separate words. I can't unsee it now.

      They should be kept in pairs so I hope you get one of each gender, two hens at least or have flockmates for them already. Best of luck

    Do you breed these as pets or is there an agricultural purpose for them?

    Can they really survive three days without food/water in the incubator or do you feed them/offer water during the play time?

    • @SobrietyandSolace
      @SobrietyandSolace 2 года назад +1

      I think that’s more true of larger birds like chickens with a bigger yolk sack in relation to their size. I use a vivarium as both an incubator and brooder so will put food and water in a few hours after they hatch and show them what it is but am not too bothered about whether they’ve been eating or drinking until after a full day or two.

    Where do you recommend getting the fertilized eggs from?

    • @thisistheaccountname
      @thisistheaccountname 2 года назад +3

      I buy mine on Ebay, but your should check the distance between you and the seller. I ordered from the next state and got it the day after they shipped. I had ordered from one county over from several sellers just to reduce the handling of the package because it affects fertility.
      Good luck.
