I would definitely be a bit turned off if they announced that they were doing a whole crossover set, for example. But small-scale promo crossovers like this make sense to me as a way to make an impression on certain markets.
The cheat sheet is amazing I think another thing you could add to it would be the phases of the turn that was something that took a little bit to get down but genuinely love this game so much fun
#TalkGA Quickshout out to Eva for making that word/cheat sheet! It's exactly what I was looking for after picking up the game last month at a 'con. My question for you guys what other form of media/collabs do you guys think GA/Weebs of the shore to attempt to tackle in the future to expand not only the TCG game but the overall unique lore/story they have for their characters and cards, be it like a cinematic trailer, manga, comics, novels, web-series, music video, etc things of that nature, small flavor stuff to add more to the story or lore of the TCG game to those that are more interested in that side of things but while still being fan of the TCG itself. An example that I like to compare would be for League of Legends from Riot Games, most times when a new champion is announced for their game, they would do teasers shorts on twitter, comic strips, or cinematic trailers to show the brief lore of said champion that's being advertised before releasing them in game as a comparison.
wooo I'm happy that the cheat sheet is helpful for you! 💗 awesome that you got into GA after encountering it at a con, i love seeing the game grow like this. and thank you for the question!!
the spread on pulling is always kinda weird. Out of like 6 DOA boxes I've pulled zero frostsworn paladins. You'd think I'd have at least 1. Anecdotal evidence sure, but the odds seem... odd sometimes.
Excellent episode again, I finally got to listen xD Once again, congratulations on receiving the Ambassador packages Fome, Eva, and Mark!! Truly well deserved. It was really an honor and privilege to feature so many interesting and cool decks during Ontario, even got a chance to do so again for NA nationals. Fome, I am also in the same boat; GA has enabled me to be inside production and broadcast in a capacity I never thought I would be able to achieve and do. (The lighting looks crispy af btw). One point to touch on that Fome and Eva mentioned is the unfortunate male dominated audience TCGs usually capture, however I feel like GA is one of very very few games that feels different. I talk to girlfriend/wives that say that THEY were the ones who dragged their boyfriend/husband into the game, where usually its the opposite. And touching into the collaboration. I feel like its good! I loved that the livers were able to have so much creative freedom on how they were represented on the card. The tolerance for skin in the West vs the East is different so I get it, but they wanted to market and grow the game in a region that is very quickly picking up the game, and they did so by collaborating with the largest vtuber agency in Taiwan. I feel like it was worth. And agreed, the company should be doing what they find cool and they feel passionate about. Great video again!!
Thanks so much for the long thoughtful comment 😭😭 I am grateful for the getting to know you and for the knowledge you’ve imparted! This is such a great community to be a part of, hope we can hang out again soon
Shinja 😭🥺😭🥺❤ echoing fome here: thank you for the long thoughtful comment!! appreciate you watching the whole episode and commenting on it all. I do love how many girls I've been seeing in GA; it's a really cool domino effect too where more girls are joining after seeing other girls in the scene so it keeps growing! again great job on the Nats stream, we really enjoyed watching it!
I just learned how to play this game last Sunday, and I'm loving the gameplay. As a former Magic player, I think GA solves a lot of issues with Magic. The only downside is there's no scene close to me, in NYC. The locals I went to last Sunday was about 1.5 hours away in Jersey. I'm not sure why GA doesn't have any traction here since TCGs are pretty popular here. I plan on teaching some people at locals who play other TCGs (e.g. Shadowverse Evolve) to get started, though I wonder if there's a better way to create a scene here.
welcome to the game 🤗 oh man I'm surprised to hear there's no scene closer to you in NYC but have no doubt you'll be able to get one rolling - all it takes is one passionate person to get things started and others will surely join in when they see the gameplay and art. learn to play events and starter deck tournaments are great for community building! also may want to consider making a NY discord if there isn't one already; I only see a NY facebook group in the GA community-share. best of luck!! 🤞
While I personally don't care about the more "mature" card arts either way, but I would say they might have given the increasing danger one a little bit more leeway as a play on words. As in it is increasingly dangerous territory for the artwork as well as the card name being that, so I wouldn't take this one to assume that is the direction they want to go in.
the proxia's vault physical cards are so difficult to obtain !! maybe include proxia's vault cards as box toppers or in op silver/gold packs as opposed to only exclusives at big events...or send out bundles to flgs...any thoughts on this?
I understand your points on the Taiwan promos. I feel the topic was overblown. One needs to understand how the western/eastern fanbase and market works. The West don't need collabs to boost their game and they also have that for lack of a better word "Decency" when it comes to the content. I know a majority of GA players don't play for the art and can tolerate it but it's still an iffy line for them. They've said they'll drop the game if GA brings this to the West. The Eastern fanbase is largely different and it appeals to them. I think Weebs are just doing what works in those countries. I've heard from their chats that the majority of people acquiring these cards aren't actual GA players but fans of the Vtuber. The other thing is, you'll never see these cards given out outside Taiwan or wherever the promo is distrubuted. The second market will bring them over, but not in an official capacity.
I think the crossover cards are a great promotion tool for Korea and V-Tuber fans specifically. I personally agree that they feel a bit out of place in GA. It’s cool they are willing to do this, but I think it should be a very limited product. I totally understand what the host is saying too. I personally love Anime. But I’m not into anime for ecchi and hentai. I’m in it for the deep characters, thought provoking stories, awesome action and fun fantastical settings. Now, to some degree that anime and fantasy aesthetic comes with a bit of sexy. And I’m okay with that, it’s fantasy it’s fun. But, the v-tuber cards are not strictly anime. Hentai may be anime but not all anime is hentai. Ecchi is a specific genre and the GA vibe and aesthetic does not fit the ecchi hentai vibe. To me it falls into the fun fantasy bucket. I hope they don’t go down that route. There are a few cards where I think the sexiness is a bit much. But overall the vibe and art of GA is incredible.
I think the take on not wanting to interact with/against lewd cards is a little out of touch. It doesn't seem like that's the road the game is headed towards, but if it's some one off printing every once in a while, I personally don't see a problem with it. The game and lore is set in a pretty tame space so I don't foresee this being an issue in the future. Let a little spice live! lol

DOA is really weird. I'm guessing that it's intentional to make people buy more boxes. Hopefully you get yours someday.
Congrats on the ambassadorship again! Definitely the most special presentation of the package heheh
thank you sm clem!! :heart_arisanna: ❤

The Solar Games Connection 😂👏
They call it Bundle, but for me when i started they where called Fatpack and that stuck in my head that way ^^

I love the TM32 🎉🎉
We need to get Mark a giant sword on set for when these moments happen 😂
Impassioned tutor tech ftw
PVE content in a TCG? im all ear. please tell me more.
hopefully we'll be making our PVE learn to play video with vynstein soon! would love to tell everyone more about how fun it is 🤞
I agree Roccoco should get banned. Double Roccoco with dagger is ridiculous
