Good review sis, beautiful yarn however I can totally see your point. If you like this yarn and want to use it you really need to think about what you are making with it to make sure the project does not end up being costlier than necessary because of need of specific colors. You are very detailed and informative. Thank you :*

Wow, I'm glad YT recommended you. I'm both a knitter and crocheter. I "did the math" too and decided to try it for a small knitted wrap. I just love your analytical approach. BTW Hobbii has a yarn called Butterfly too.
You have made me think of my yarn purchases in a whole different way. Ty for such a thoughtful review! I would not buy this particular yarn if I wanted solid rows of color then striping, I would buy striping yarn separate and match it with an appropriate solid yarn.

Thanx for this review. Since I don't knit and the stripes being too small and uneven... forget it 😆 The patterns look gorgeous but I'd rather buy different colored skeins and color control it myself. 😉

2/3 is different than 3/4
2/3 of 546 yds is 364 yards. Maybe it's not too far off from what they advertise. I haven't tried it so I still appreciate the review
Exactly I don't know why she kept using 4ths instead of 3rds.
I think you just have to be creative with the yarn. I crocheted a top with the colours at the neck and I love it
