Clyde is amazing- When Marc Lawrence was working on the 2000 film Miss Congeniality and was not pleased with his options for the Miss United States pageant theme song, he turned to Clyde to see what he thought was wrong. At only age five, Clyde wrote his own version, and the film's other producers chose it without knowing its writer.[3] The Miss United States pageant anthem that Clyde composed is prominently featured in the film, and his composition led him to become the youngest member of the Songwriters Guild of America.[4]
I'm SO THRILLED more people are reacting to Lawrence! I literally go around to people who react and beg them to check out Lawrence and nobody does! It drives me nuts, because I can't imagine anyone not liking them. :)
It's a bit of a play on words. "Weather" vs "Whether" As in "if we're talking about weather/whether you and I should be together..." Add in beautiful singing and crunchy harmonies and awesome dynamic shifts, it's just a masterpiece. Thanks for reacting, man!
It’s a story about a breakup and the ex has moved presumably a great distance away. And she knows that person will always have a piece of her heart so she doesn’t really want to talk to them about the mundaneness of small talk like the weather. At the end of the song the “weather” has transitioned to “whether” and she doesn’t want to get to that discussion of whether there’s a chance for rekindling their relationship because she knows it’s already over, even if she’s not willing to admit it out loud. My interpretation at least.
"If we're talking about weather, you and I should be together. I know I'll always love you." vs "If we're talking about whether you and I should be together, I know I'll always love you." I absolutely LOVE that line and the way it completely reframes everything that came earlier in the song.
For sure! I’m glad that I got the clarity on that. I always love those small lines like that. Especially whn it ties everything together like u were saying. Absolutely astonishing 🔥🔥
They are opening for the Jonas Brothers now if you want to see them live (you don't have to stay for JB if you aren't into them). Definitely worth seeing them live!
@@RetroQuinReacts no they are opening for them on their tour now! Not sure where you are but you might be able to get tickets in your area! Definitely worth it if you can ♥️
My only suggestion for this group is to always just find a live performance of a song you want to listen to. Somehow they always sound so much better live then they do in their studio versions.
Most definitely. I did notice that because I went to Apple Music and Spotify to listen to the studio version and it sounded ok, but it didn’t give me that same feeling as the live performances

That’s some mind-blowing information right there! I knew Clyde was amazing, but I never knew he had that under his belt!
@@RetroQuinReactsi know right?! Crazy talent.
True story!
WOOOOW!!!!!
Clyde’s voice is so underrated

Greatly appreciated my guy 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Casualty with Jon Bellion is insane also. I'm seeing them live next week!
Nice!! I have that one written down already if I’m not mistaking & will this be your first time seeing them live?
Just found this band today. I swear I had the same look on my face at the start of this song. So good
I been hooked to their music since the first reaction. They amazing!!

Appreciate u for that. I didn’t even peep the “whether” ending u referred to. I’ll have to go back and give it another listen. Great catch!

I also highly suggest their cover of Come On Over by Christina Aguilera. One of the best covers of that song I've ever seen.
Thank u for that. If I’m not mistaking I believe I have that one written down already. If not I’ll definitely add it to my list for sure 🙏🏾

Talented musicians always sound better live. Over produced manufactured pop, not so much
Agreed
@@Law-Enduring-Citizen- Exactly!!
He reminds me of Ray Charles so much! XD
Same bro
🙏🏾
How did they make a sad song sound good?... Damit man they're Lawrence that's how!
Agreed! They just don’t miss no matter what song it is 🔥🔥
lol no need to do a reaction but look what they released last week with an orchestra! ruclips.net/video/IolUanPVOQY/видео.htmlsi=nkSpfPdX6BhnvnaO
You should watch “shot” the acoustic version
I went ahead and added it to my list 🙏🏾

Her vibrato is borderline percussive
I love her voice. Very unique and she will throw u off too. U wouldn’t think a small, innocent person would pack a punch like that
Weather and whether....that's the deal. Clyde is the youngest member of the Songwriters Guild....at 6.
Appreciate u for sharing. I would have guessed that Gracie would be the youngest
They could do a "Weather" v. "Colors of the Wind" mashup 👌
I haven’t checked out Colors of the Wind, but I imagine it would be 🔥
@@RetroQuinReacts It's the Pocahontas song! - it's just crazy how similar the melody is! Less of a mashup - more just eerily similar.
@yourfaceistube dangggggg u spot on wit that! Soon as I read your comment the tune popped in my head
Gracie.
Thank u 🙏🏾. Gracie is such a blessing ❤️
