    The talent on every end of this performance is ridiculous. It's a shame that they are not more well-known.

    They are a brother sister duo (Clyde and Gracie Lawrence) + 6 piece band from new York. The chorus isn't actually part of the band. Their new song I'm confident that I'm insecure has another acoustic-ish recording and is crazy

    They are insane live too. that to me is the mark of a great band/singer. Another great Acoustic of theirs is The Weather. It shows off a different part of her voice too. Add that to this song and you can really see Gracie's and the band's talent. I suggest you check that one out too. Great reaction - thanks!

    • @mcflyjp
      @mcflyjp  10 месяцев назад +1

      Every single gospel singer sounds like her? Absolutely false. In fact, I'd go as so far to say that there's maybe 1% of gospel rehearsals that sound like the backup singers. That's not even including her. She's on another level.

    • @billydwashington5469

      @@mcflyjp can you read? I clearly said 'most' choir rehearsals, and of the 20k choir rehearsals I've gone to and played for during my lifetime at least 60 percent of them can cook like this or better. Their little brother is not even a great singer. Lawrence is crazy good and Gracie is an amazing talent but that same voice is in 80% of Baptist Churches every single Sunday morning.

    • @mcflyjp
      @mcflyjp  10 месяцев назад

      @@billydwashington5469 "that same voice" .
      Let's take a step back because you seem to think you know who I am and my history with music.
      I agree about their little brother.
      Now that that's outta the way, I also was in choir, did you know that? In a few different cities for almost a decade. While I've seen very very good singers (amazing actually) I have never seen a talent like Gracie's.
      You can say that you've seen immense talent in your lifetime and still agree that Gracie is a once in a lifetime talent.
      And I never disputed the "choir rehearsals being just like this". There was never an argument there. I just haven't seen it on the mainstage and done so well like this, again, on the main stage.

    • @billydwashington5469
      @billydwashington5469 10 месяцев назад

      I have no idea who you are or where your experiences have taken you. My comment was not anti-Lawrence, it was made based on what they're doing in this song, how long I've been exposed to this chord movement and who I've heard push those progressions vocally. This is a hit pop song in the street, but a regular Sunday morning at most churches.
