I first saw them Live in ATL when they opened for Jon Bellion and let me tell you, they went from "who are they" to "I need to know who they are now" They are so amazing.
Welcome to the Lawrence obsession! They're incredible, and really starting their rise for sure! Couple of late night performances over the past year and they're currently opening for the Jonas Brothers on tour. TONS of new fans incoming!
They are a brother sister duo (Clyde and Gracie Lawrence) + 6 piece band from new York. The chorus isn't actually part of the band. Their new song I'm confident that I'm insecure has another acoustic-ish recording and is crazy
They are insane live too. that to me is the mark of a great band/singer. Another great Acoustic of theirs is The Weather. It shows off a different part of her voice too. Add that to this song and you can really see Gracie's and the band's talent. I suggest you check that one out too. Great reaction - thanks!
Wow. That was amazing. ❤❤❤ Edit- I had my evening viewing all queued up- I just spent the last 2 hours listening to Lawrence and reactions instead. I'll say WOW again! More please. 🙏💛
It was the "Bro, like..." *walks away from the desk* moment that made it for me. That's how I feel when I listen to them online and in person. If you haven't listened to the acoustic-ish version of "I'm Confident That I'm Insecure", I suggest listening to that next. It's the best of the best - lead vocals, arrangement, instrumentals, background vocals, and cheek.
Seeing her in a few lives she does strain on this one BUT, its because of what you noticed i think. Not seperate. She gets so into it she just THROWS it
@@mcflyjp - Assuming you mean "i'm confident that i'm insecure", there's both a music video and a live/acoustic version. :) Both wonderful. Live/acoustic is the explosive-sock-removal version.
I'm so glad I watched your reaction to this. The first time I heard this song(which was like 2 days ago) I had a lot of similar feelings to what you were describing. I dont know music the same way so I couldnt put it into words but everything you said I was like yeah thats exactly what I was feeling! Great reaction.
I realize your video is from a year ago ... I've been a fan of Lawrence for a few years, and The Algorithm™ sends me reaction videos from people I don't follow. It's fun to see you all react to music I love. I hope all of this round and round will help Lawrence. I think they'll be OK.
@@mcflyjp you didn't even mention Clyde's unsurpassed keyboard skills! And you said you thought Gracie may not care how she looks. Their other videos show that both she and Clyde dress with senses of humor and energy. If you are not watching ALL of their videos, you are wasting your time on lesser things.
god yes i love watching people experience lawrence for the first time. if you want to get more into their music, you should totally check out I'm Confident That I'm Insecure (Acoustic-ish) or The Weather (Acoustic/Gospel) for more of that gospel vibe, and Freckles (Acoustic) or The Heartburn Song (Live at Webster Hall) have awesome horns sections! no pressure to react to the vids i promise lol, but you should definitely listen to more of their music either way if you liked Don't Lose Sight! they're just such an incredible band and i love seeing them get the hype they deserve

I am going to go down their discography as I need to see more;
Clyde Lawrence wrote the theme song for Miss Congeniality...when he was 5. Their dad is the director.
Thats absolutely wild!

I actually just heard this band a couple of days ago, a different song though. They are absolutely amazing! ❤

Whoa. I’m with you on the speechless. She’s a force.
I appreciated the analysis- time to revisit on my own.
She's one of the better if not best singers I've ever seen.
I did look up their history as this is beyond a gift. There was school and support. That does not negate raw talent, but it sure does help.

Great reaction. I highly recommend the other Lawrence acoustic videos. They're all great.
Also, patreon typo in the bottom right of your video.
100% agree. Their music videos and stuff are all wonderful, but the live/acoustic ones are utterly mind-blowing.
