It isn't sanitised at all. Anybody who watched the Rugby World Cup knockout games could tell you how physical they were. Issue is the marketing, and if I wanted to know what players are deadlifting all the time I would watch weightlifting. The players who get kids interested are the likes Dupont, Russell, and Smith. Finally, nice of David to get the badge in. 😄

i think they're referring to the commentary etc around rugby rather than the play itself. There's loads of big hits and big blokes but we never hype it up - rather, whenever there's a big hit the red card conversation immediately chokes the mood and with fights the commentators are apologetic! Yes, throwing punches should be sanctioned but while it's happening i want some ringside commentary!!

I really don´t like the new rules. Kicking the ball back towards the opposing team´s side before a ruck forms should be okay, as it should not forming a ruck so as to have no offside line. I also don´t like that you can´t play the 9.

They are changing the rules too much too frequently. What other sports have to have an explanation of rule changes at the start of every tournament?! I have been a fan for 40 years and still struggle to keep up!

The physical beasts are having serious health problems later in life, that’s the problem.
