Bought one of these on Ali Express . Seems to be good quality plastic and it was superbly packaged . It is being sold under the brand name " Kellan" as an " Aquarium Filter Waste Cleaner ".
Thanks for the honest review. I personally don't think the propeller does anything as it is the bubbles and water flow pushing the propeller not the other way round. It is actually increasing resistance. If on the other hand the propeller was motorized and pushing the water then it would increase the flow. If you increase the length of the uplift tube by adding a short piece of pipe over it, it will help increase the flow & efficiency of the filter.
yup! an increased height for the uplift tube will definitely help, the propellers just kind of spin with the bubbles, maybe if there was 3 or 4 that would be more helpful.
@@BryanLa 3 or 4 yes but they would need to be motorized in order to increase flow. If they are being pushed by the bubbles they will only increase resistance & reduce the flow.
I know you mentioned that this should be used with bare bottom tanks, but if it is on a small platform just above sand substrate, will it work or is the suction strong enough to pick up sand?
A filter breaker, no more water pump, no more foam replacement , just air pump convinient just make sure you have moving bed filter for biological filtration this is good for removing tools or mechanical filtration.
What do you think about the other design that comes up in your "fish toilet" Google search that connects to a power head and has a stainless steel mesh? It seems like it would have more suction but not sure if I like the mesh part due to clogging.
I just looked at that one. It seems like it would be a pain to clean out, it needs to be secured to the side panel or else it will fall, and looks super bulky. I'd rather stick with the original plastic air filter to be honest. For the jdm filter I literally just spray water through the bottom for a couple seconds and it's all clean
thanks! and the mouse pad is called Luxcoms rgb, Keyboard is a RK64, and my mouse is a Logitech G604 which is perfect for editing videos because it has a bunch of macro keys!
yo! thanks for watching! I sold my first Jardini and gave away my small Silver arowana. the Jardini was cool, but I bought it at a big size. I sold it with intentions of raising two baby Jars afterwards but I ended up keeping polypterus instead haha... The silver Aro wasn't growing as fast as my two Endlis, and I aws afraid the Endli would eventually eat it, so I gave it away to a buddy of mine. The aro is about 18in right now
If you use this with substrate, make sure you use the bottom base that comes with it. This way the little feet don't sink into your substrate. Because if it sinks, it will cover the entrance hole at the bottom
Just connect the air line, and place it in areas that collect detritus or waste. Corners of the aquarium may work, it depends on how your system is set up.
@@deividuesllei8436 there’s only one place to connect an air line on this filter. There’s no other way to use it. I use a very strong air pump because I use one pump to power all of my tanks but you can use a semi-strong air pump, connect an air line to it, and connect it to the filter.
Ahh unfortunately my Pink Tail Chalceus passed a long time ago due to a heater malfunction; cooked my whole tank. I might be getting more in the near future, hope you enjoy yours as well!
@@BryanLa what brand of heater where you using at that time ? I am enjoying them they are awesome. I also have a channel in English called predatoryfishkeeping if you want to check it out . Cheers mate
Hahaha!! It's funny wen U realised about de bottom part being removable, I'd probably have done same mistake too! Lol! Definitely not to b use in a breeding colony.
Yup! I ended up throwing that guard piece away anyways so it worked out for me. And it would definitely not be a good idea for a breeding tank haha… all the babies would be trapped inside
I bought this filter and did everything you said and it works great for my flowerhorns poo. Thanks for all your great info
Nice! And you’re welcome, a couple of my buddies run this filter with their flower horns too
Found your channel recently, and been binging all your videos to get up to date 🔥 Dope stuff bro.
Thanks! I appreciate it

Also U probably need a water flow circulation to move water so it collects more solid waste or U may need to move dat filter around.
Well noted!
I laughed when he said toilet air filter 🤣
I know you mentioned that this should be used with bare bottom tanks, but if it is on a small platform just above sand substrate, will it work or is the suction strong enough to pick up sand?
It probably won’t pick up sand, but if the sand covers the intake it won’t be as effective as a bare bottom environment
I gotta get one of those for my goldies
It works great, only thing is you need to clear the canister out very often since goldfish poop like no other

Yup! Totally agree
If you add a tube to the top so that you get more lift oh, you'll get a lot more performance with the same amount of airflow.
ahh well noted! thanks!
Super! I have seen that they sell an accesorie that add on the top, to have like 3 fans up there, do you think is neccesary?
I was actually going for a model that had the extra fans on top! I think the more fans, the less air needed to do the job

Great video! This is not aquarium related question but what kind of extended mouse pad, keyboard and mouse are you using? I'm loving the pc setup.

Hi, I appreciate your review on this product. What airpump did you use and how much watts?
I use a tetra whisper 300. And it’s something like… 7.5watts
Yo Bryan! i been watching you for an while now man and i wanted to ask bro what happened to your arowanas?

Bryan La thanks man!
No problemo!
What do you connect the filter to?
I just wanna know because I getting a fish
This filter is connected to an air pump, just like a sponge filter
U need a spray bar on the bottom to sweep it to that filter
That would have been good 😅
Will this work to clean my arowana poop
Probably won’t do a good job cleaning, but it will do it’s job collecting!
Thanks bro!
No problem! Thanks for watching!!
Whats that tubd on top?
The tube on top? The black part of the filter? It’s empty, just holds the detritus in
Would you recommend these for an aquarium with a fine substrate?
If you use this with substrate, make sure you use the bottom base that comes with it. This way the little feet don't sink into your substrate. Because if it sinks, it will cover the entrance hole at the bottom
gostaria de saber como instalar o filtro.. onde colocar ele ?? em qual bomba?
