  • Planets in our universe can get extremely big, but one thing that beats them is stars. In this video we compare the smallest, city-sized neutron stars to the largest solar system sized hypergiant stars. Enjoy!

      yeah. Inside neutron stars it can reach about 100,000,000,000 celsius (180,000,000,000 Farenheit)
      so pretty toasty

      The colors represent the heat. Yellow is mellow.... white is STAGGERINGLY HOT, red meh... blue is between red and white

    Thanks for the cool video!! I have one question: The largest known star seems to be only about 68% of the maximum theoretical size for a star. Do you think those bigger stars (70-100% of theoretical max) don't actually exist, or that we just haven't found them?

      It's been 4 years since you commented this, but it's because the largest stars existed in the early universe. They were just so enormous that they used up all their fuel within millions of years. Stars that large probably can't form any more, as there simply isn't enough matter in a close enough radius.

      It’s rare for it’s category/designation. Red stars are usually the ones reaching in the “Hypergiant” designation
