Here in the North East, the weather is usually hot, as is pretty much every local recipe you'll find! Today, a large selection of noodles featuring Rice-Skin style Dumplings, a unique recipe at a local restaurant that I can't wait to share with you right now!

'Kuay Teaw Baak Maw' is a cooking style brought down from China, and one that Thai cooks and chefs have adapted over generations to include a wide array of all the ingredients and flavours that Thai people love and cherish. The noodle recipe is simple, the flour using both rice flour, and yam flour, and a range of ingredients which includes CHIVES, mince pork, TOFU, radish, SAGO, carrot, AND of course, CHILI peppers :)
Not only is the noodle feast at Khun Jaeng Restaurant worth traveling just to eat, but the next door neighbour shop sells what might be some of the best sausage you would ever dream to find! Three versions of sausage, of you need to try them all, yet another bonus addition to a huge combo meal, and an amazing way to spend a Saturday.

Joel, I am catching up to all your videos I missed....Wow! I really enjoyed this one especially with the reggae rhythms(Jamaica-One Love my birth place) The beautiful energy shared with all was great to watch especially interacting with the lady who said you were so skinny- reminded my of back home as we would use the same expression back home where one may say: come mek me fatten you up!!! which would mean we need to feed you!!! (smile) Also towards the end of your video the fruit growing on the tree, we have the same fruit in Jamaica.....This video brought memories back and my observation of it all for me anyway is that we truly are all one family when we are in alignment with LOVE....thank you my friend..........with hands clasped

That meal looked so fresh and delicious. I am amazed at how accommodating they are for different dietary restrictions.
I have Been to Thailand last year and ALL the nightlife, scenery and activities were great but I really just remember The Thai people's friendliness and amazing food. I remember being so nervous with my limited Thai words. But everyone helped me and showed me what food went with what and how to eat it.
Also, I have to say that Li did a great job as a Videographer.
An EPIC and SAVORY cultural festive delicious cuisines. Loved seeing together the Lovely and Blessed Couple Joel and Li. Their love for each other and their happiness of food shines MAGNIFICENTLY. Appreciate both restaurants hospitable and very friendly and caring personality. They make sure that you feel comfortable and at home at both restaurants. Hi Joel & Li - sorry for late reply. Just wow! This has to be one of your best videos yet, especially since Li was featured. I was beginning to worry that Li was going to have to eat cold chicken's feet but later on you mounted the camera above the table & I saw that Li got to eat without having to film. BTW you could say that I'm a sucker for dumplings & in fact, I have my own bamboo steamer which I use for soup dumplings, gyoza and shu mai. Renee sends her love. She walked 900 ft. using her walker on Thursday at physical therapy. Peace be with you both & God Bless !

The grilled sausages look amazing. American Thai restaurants just don’t offer that level of authenticity. There are a couple I go to here in NYC, and I’ve never seen dishes like this. I’m ready to try some right now!!

well, I would love to take you for a tour like this sometime, yeah you are right, even though the flavor in the NYC restaurants Im sure would be pretty great!, yeah, the authenticity does add to it, just eating some roadside sausages like these for 30c each, its fun! adds a lot to the memory.

I've watched Mark forever and anytime we seen Joel at first he was always saturated in what was going on and here we are now....his respect for anything and anyone or language around him, willingness to learn etc etc....yep, pretty impressive.
I actually like watching Joel more than Mark. Mark has no table manners.
Wow! Joel i normally have these freshly cooked dumplings in Warorot market and my favorite are those variants with caramelized almost candied onions with crispy topping of fried garlic!!! This restaurant discovery of yours has an immense. choice plus that large plate of Sai uoa sausage with the red bro ze skin, you can see the herbs and chili on the interior and those crunchy pieces of cabbage to refresh !!! wow!!! Then the pork spine with meat and cartilage.... immaculate flavors!!! Another amazing meal!!! Thanks Joel and Li!!!
