Hubby and I just spent 2 hours this Sunday afternoon watching yall and listening to all the news! As Panda said, it's a great day to be DVC! Hubby retires in December so we are so looking forward to more trips to enjoy the parks even more! Thank you for the great breakdown . We live in the country in Texas so whenever we need to make a trip to town , my husband always asks me what Paul and Amy are saying lately
I agree with Rob N about the Walt animatronic vis introducing younger generation to the "real" Walt Disney. I feel Walt would like this since he originated the idea of audio-animatronics. This is very META! 😁
IF most of this happens it will be great. But what concept art shows and what Disney actually builds are usually very different. Star Wars Galaxies edge is one example. And agree with Derek, Villains land should have been a 5th gate.
The thing about the island is, even if it's not visited, it adds to the theme... Magic kingdom has lost a lot of the theming over the years; and the other parks may be even worse. The only park that is mostly preserved in it's theme for now is animal kingdom
I hope they keep on using the technology in the overseas parks and re-theming it for here. I recently went to Shanghai DL and you can see that imagineering is alive and well there. Now they arnt all hits but wow zootopia and pirates are amazing.
So many great updates but my gripe would be: putting so much into more ships. We love Disney and spend money on them, we are DVC members; but their cruises are SO much more expensive than NCL and Royal… it’s astronomical and hard to justify paying so much more and so cruise news is kind of a dud for me.

thank you Universal for nudging Disney. so the Villains can try to take over other parks. like some games where the Villains try to take over. add a little to all of the parks in the future, so many Villians. certain villains could relate to the other 3 parks. Walt Disney animatronic is an awesome addition to DL. as Panda said it would be great if they add it to Oe Mans Dream. been to DL twice but it's been a few years, before the Avengers. so maybe Ill visit again in a while
My 15 and 13 year olds heard the D23 news on the new attractions and were excited about Disney again! Too bad they’ll have to wait so long but still exciting!
First of all I have to say that I love this show, and this channel. I have become such a fan of all of you both collectively and individually! Your insight and information on all things Disney, not just DVC, is amazing. Thank You for providing informative entertainment! OK, now I know I'm not the only one who could think this, though it may unpopular opinion, LOL. I think the "Casita" Madrigal would be better where Cars land is planned, over at Tom Sawyer Island and the Riverboat. Encanto is more about the family dynamic and Mirabel, who already has a meet-and-greet in MK, was the main character. Makes more sense to make it about all of them, in "the most magical place on earth." Literally, fits. Another, possible, unpopular opnion. I would love to have an entire Zootopia themed land in AK instead of the Tropical Americas, and an Indy ride. The possibities for this would be endless and we could see some really awesome, imaginative attractions and thematic elements. Although I love me some Indy, I really don't love the idea of having the IP in AK. I get the mythical element but just think it could be done elsewhere. We've been waiting for Villians land forever, so it better be WICKED. Pun intended.😂

Well as far as negative comments on the villain theme it's near the Haunted Mansion and that would be a great segway into the villain area. So you do have a darkness in MK and it works.
Do we think there could be an entry from Fantasyland to Villains Land? Seems to be a natural flow to be an entrance from there, but I don’t know logistics if that’s even possible with the size.
You are missing the point on the AK Indy ride staying open. Because Indy is a rehab not a new building they can leave it open while while start the new build for Encanto. The whole place will open as one. btw - They have already starting removing the trees that hide the Dyno building.
These "active development" ideas are 3, 5, 8 and 10+ years away. All of them depend HEAVILY on the future,...yes, "FUTURE"...financial health of the company. Disney will need to take on massive amounts of new, future debt for these ideas and investors + future Disney management "might" not be willing to approve it. There are zillions of historic Disney "active development" ideas that completely died or were severely slashed. We ALL know this is nothing new. Then there are the: "Oh,..no, no, no....the announced thing is NOT dead, it's just paused or on hold right now" (This one is VERY common...right??). I'm very sorry but I would almost bet my life that only HALF of this stuff will be "actually" be signed and financed...and "actually" paid for...in the next 10 years. The money is not there today. Park profits are being siphoned AWAY form the parks to prop up the rest of the company!!. DISNEY IS CURRENTLY HAVING DIFFICULTY PAYING FOR DAILY PARK OPERATIONS AND "PROPER" ATTRACTION UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE TODAY!!! You guys ALL see and know this. Disney's finances must SIGNIFICANTLY improve in the future BEFORE most of this can happen. YES!!,..let's all be EXCITED, HOPEFUL and cross our fingers that it all gets paid and checks are ACTUALLY written to construction companies. But let's ALSO be very realistic too.
So excited for all the announcements! Anyone care to take a rough guess on how much of the $60 Billion was allocated to everything that was announced last night?
Couldn't big thunder in the background just be from the backside? I don't think it has to be from Tom Sawyers island. The biggest issue with behind big thunder is how you get guests back there as there isn't a path to the backside of big thunder right now, but the space is there on the inside of Caribbean Way and Floridian Way. The plot is as big as big thunders current footprint. They'd need a bridge over the waterway, but there's already one there for the train, so easily doable. It wouldn't be bad to go under the frontier land train station, hang a right to walk along the side of big thunder and across the river see the cars land backdrop. All that being said, the fact they didn't use the expansion language does have me concerned it's not a build out like it should be.
I also wonder if they might keep the main loop of the river while removing the bridge to the back half of tom sawyers island and then keep the river that runs along big thunder since that's where they park Liberty Belle. They could essentially take over the back half of tom sawyers island and the 2/3 of the river portion for a cars ride/land and backdrop.
I’m still waiting on everything that was supposed to happen at Epcot. So I will not get any hopes up, until something is built, open and works properly. Disney has a huge problem with rides not working. Rise Of The Resistance and Tiana’s just to name a few., there are a lot more.
My money is on Monsters Inc replacing Launch Bar, Animation Courtyard, Little Mermaid Theater, and Disney Jr. I think Little Mermaid is going away or moving theaters; that eyeball is where the old Little Mermaid sign is located and we are getting a Monsters show there. The overview looks to be from the steps going up to Mickey's. Those buildings on the right of the plaza are at an angle that matches the Disney Jr stuff. I really feel Animation Courtyard and Launch Bay/Animation Building are going away. There is just some costuming/staff buildings and parking behind that area. The park needs capacity, removing Muppets and two restaurants does not help manage capacity. And Launch Bay is pathetic at this point.
I can’t believe Dinosaur is the same track, maybe it is but it only makes a circle and the rest is cut off. My most disliked ride, only maybe 3 things you can see on that horrible, horrible dark ride. Indiana Jones has so much more to see, even the line is 100% better. Does anyone else know what Dinosaur was like when it first opened? I went on it before I had cataract surgery so when I went on it after I was hoping to see more. No, the three things you see on it looked more lit up.

I loved SpectroMagic so much that I would always stay and watch it both times 💕 It used to run at 9 and 11 with Wishes in between!!

I didn’t think they showed anything for the kids cars ride, everything they showed is for the rally race… no?
