I took my daughter to see the post traumatic LP tour and we sat front row and Mike hugged my kid. She thought it was so cool. That album I swear is worth a listen.
Going to that tour was a dream of mine, unfortunately couldn't go to a show, but I still hold that album to high regards and it's my #1 favorite album of all time. Mike is nothing short of a genius. I hope I get to see him live one day :)
The sad thing about this video is the fact that it was shortly after the video was released that Chester ended it…💔. It feels so weird hearing them talking about them being active and all that and I miss it very much!

Mike Shinoda is one of my favorite human beings. I've never seen him have a bad interview, comment, or be anything other than the coolest fucking person on the planet. (Ya know, not even mentioning him being in one of the best bands of all time). All rockstar, none of the ego - what a boss!
When I told my son about your reaction to the teens Linkin Park video he told me he had seen it. Come to find out he watches your videos. He told me those kids don't represent half of 1% of the teens out there and called them privileged snobs. For a 16 year old he's a pretty smart kid.
Mike is the really the best. He held on and kept it going after Chester died. He def deserves all our love and respect too. Also alex calling out the kids based on their shirt was too effing funny.
I love when Bands go into different genres, I may not like it sometimes but I won't cry about it I'll just listing to the Songs I like from them and that's it.

I do understand some reactions regarding these kids (like that annoying jean jacket girl) but at the same time it's also cringey to see old LP fans getting angry simply because some of these kids DON'T KNOW the band or aren't used to that style of music. Like dude, this is exactly what you should expect, these kids aren't rock/metal fans and they're being exposed for the first time to LP. It's SUPPOSED to sound weird to their ears, it's supposed to sound alien, and luckily in the end they'll be like "Damn, this old music sounds so good! I wish there was more music like this nowadays!" But like 60% of Hybrid Theory fans hated Minutes to midnight. And like 70% hated everything after. Linkin Park was the poster child for bands who sold out. Of course they were great and remained great. But a lot of people hated them from Minutes to Midnight and beyond. I saw them once, headlining Download Festival in the UK. They played Hybrid Theory in full, and then when they finished the show with a greatest hits set. thousands of people left after hybrid theory ended. There was a genuine hatred for this band in the later years.

I parted ways with Linkin Park when they went "soft". No disrespect to them, but I wanted angry, screamy music with guitars, whereas they decided to go experiment with pop and electronica. I may not be a true fan of LP then, because I did not stick with them, but I am a fan of such genre of music that they were playing before changing it up, and luckily plenty other bands out there are still like that.

I have so much respect for Mike. When Chester was still alive, Mike was also a legend, and he did a lot of the work with there songs. But naturally Chester was seen as the front person. But since Chester's passing, the way Mike dealt with it, was something else. He understood, despite his own loss, that he now had a very important role. All his close friends who also where close with Chester would need him, Chester's family would need him. And he took that role. But even more, he understood what Chester and LP was to so many people around the world. what there music meant for a lot of people who suffers. And he took on a role to try and catch these fans. He in some ways put his own needs on hold it seemed, because he knew millions of people, people that supported LP for years, now needed his support. He spoke to them, he involved them, he let the fans know, that he was still there. If you watch some of the interviews from after, and the memorial concerts he did. It was like he really understood that he needed to be there for the fans, to me it felt like he felt it was his responsibility. Mike is just a good guy. And he deserves so much respect. Both for what LP is and have done. Its one of the most influential bands in modern history. And to million of people its been a light in the darkness. But also for how he took the torch when all these people needed to find that light again, a light that people had issues finding or unsure of how to find after Chester's passing.
