Learning a lot from your videos (Canva + RedBubble). You're an efficient teacher and generous with your info. I subscribed under another one of my accounts, too. I hope your Channel blows up!
Thanks :) though to me it already did :) I mean, I never thought I'd have more than 5K subscribers, and thought it would take me 2 years to reach 1000... I cannot be griddy and ask for more LOL
Thank u Mey for sharing!! love your design.!!.I always look forward to your tutorials...from all of the tutorials that I watch on RUclips for me you are the best...not only as an Artist but as a person..Thank u😘
Thank you so much for this video Mey!! Not only didn't I know about Canva Draw but I have scrapped heaps of designs because of the "lines"!!! I need you to know that through your tutorials, I have learned so much, again, thank you!!
Hi Mey, yes to madelas, I’m fascinated by them and had a hard time trying to do them in affinity designer. I like the pink pattern. Oh gosh the flipping trick is awesome! I got a RB shop the other day and uploaded my first pattern, thanks to your tutorials 😀
Thanks for the helpful tips! I started my POD journey recently and your videos have been a massive help! I've been struggling with the line issue on Canva for a few days now, and have had to scrap so many designs because of it. I tried the flipping as you mentioned, but that only seems to put the line on the outside of the design, rather than removing it completely. I'm not entirely sure if when you upload the design and repeat the pattern if it's actually noticeable or not, but I figured it was worth mentioning regardless. It's tough to see that the line is still there on Canva, but I uploaded the design to Gimp and saw that it was (which explained why it wouldn't go away lol!) I think it's just an issue Canva has at the moment, and I don't see any actual way to completely remove the issue easily. We may just have to wait for it to get fixed 😅
- Glad my videos are helpful! - So far for me- the flipping other way around helped with the line going away, not sure why not with yours. Minimized spacing? Maybe also try downloading it and see if it comes off with a line after download. Also- try refreshing the page, opening a new design, re-uploading the files... - Or-contact Canva support with a screenshot and maybe a video walk through. They are very helpful :)
Yes it does! Gotta love Canva :) Though I hope they will add the option to "drop" paint in a space, and maybe even to combine the draw/erase feature with an existing design.
I would love to see more about the draw tool on Canva. I really liked this. I just found your channel. I am just getting into print on demand, and I am liking the patterns. I think it might be a quicker way for me to get started.
The best way to fill a font with color? You got the text effects for that, I use the one that has a frame and offset, and then delete the offset, I showed that in the text effect tutorial- ruclips.net/video/TPSkdFoIkWA/видео.html As for filling with a pattern/photo, I would recommend using the letters that are actually "photo frames". Shown that option in this video : ruclips.net/video/RMZy6vPebV8/видео.html
Thanks for sharing. Didn’t know about Canva Draw. Tried it out on my laptop 👩💻 It was a bit tricky, couldn’t control it enough to get the pattern I was trying to make so gave up and went with the flow, which turned out pretty interesting. BTW I love using the offset pattern on RB.
Listed a video on my tools for sure :) Also, i will be making a video about leaving RB when I decide it's time. Feel like it's fast approaching though... Might make some more design tutorials before leaving, but it is coming.
Hey Mey. I know this vid is a bit older now, but I just wanted to say, thanks for introducing us to the Canva Draw feature! Super fun to play with! Also, I've been working on patterns, but no matter what I do, how many times I rearrange and/or flip, I always have a faint white line separating the grid images. I don't know if I just use different colors or what, but yeah...can't get it to go away, even though I've followed your tutorial to the letter. Maybe just happens with black/darker colors? Anyway, thanks again for your content!
Thank you Mey very much for this useful video. To answer your question regarding how you make mandalas, that would be great to know if you don't mind making a video on this.
Hi Mey, this is such a fun pattern. Thank you for sharing. I don’t have Canva pro but I was able to access Canva draw. May be I can’t use it for commercial purposes.. I have to explore about that.
I don't know about the commercial part, as no one can prove you made it with Canva, and it is original work. Surprised you accessed it with the free version, when i tried on free user it didn't give me the option... Maybe it was because i tried from a logged off account.
I really love your channel. I discovered it yesterday and have been binge watching since. I am trying to create a design in Canava for a 71'' x 74'' shower curtain. Would you suggest 3500 x 5000px or 5000 x 5000px custom size design in canva? I feel like so far my design is looking too pixelated. I would really appreciate your insight. Thank you, Mey for your content. It is truly amazing!
The design sizes you are mentioning are not for Canva to handle and produce in good quality, it's why I am showing how to make a seamless pattern from them, if you're using them on a platform that has that repeat/pattern button. I would recommend a 3500x5000 if you're uploading to RB as that's the best size I know to have the cards and postcards look good. Also 5000x3500 (just turn it) for their horizontally aligned products.
@@MeyTribe Thank you so much for this response, Mey. I am watching more of your tutorials on this topic and have learned a lot. My first printed curtain was a blurry disaster. So, I hope a seamless design will be the fix lol. Thanks again.
@@jewelthompson4210 It will be a fix- granted that you minimize the unit of the pattern to a size small enough for that. So many POD suppliers and marketplaces don't reflect having a good enough DPI which is so annoying. What platform are you designing these for ?
Hi Mey, another great video. Thank you very much, I bought affinity for my tablet and will have to invest a lot of time t learn. I guess Canva draw is the way to go for now. I didn't know that. How do you name or market your patterns on the title and description?
This was a great video and very helpful. Can you please share your strategies to get more sales on different POD platforms? That will be really informative.
I am planning some marketing videos for the end of the year and for January... But maybe one of them should really be focused on direct marketing techniques that help sales
Hello! thank you for all of your fantastic tips! I'm just trying the Canva 4 box grid but I can't see it as an option in Canva anymore. It shows up as a frame but not as a grid. The frame sizing can't be adjusted. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Not sure why you can't... it's under elements, and it's still there as of this morning... They are always changing the layout or "place" for their elements, so maybe it's not exactly where it was in the video- but it's there, under elements.
Create & save = you're creating so you can order to yourself Dropship = you integrate with an Etsy/shopify store Artist store = meaning you have a shop hosted on Art of Where Not sure what you mean by "switch" from RB, you can have both LOL It's up to you which account of AOW you want, you can also combine them and have several.
@@MeyTribe Switch meaning drop RB all together, cause i already see not much success in it and now I see that so many RB products are of low quality for way too much money
Hey, I'm confused... For clients to try what ? To try a product ? Maybe I am confused cause this video is print on demand, so clients can't try from a link... Care to elaborate ?
I don't usually draw myself on canva, this was for people who wanna use Canva as they don't have a drawing app. You can also manually increase DPI in the download settings, or initially design a pixel size that forces 300DPI on your inch size of a product.
Nice tutorial I watched Canva’s YT channel where they show how to use Canva draw. It supposedly also work on the IPad which I tried but not on mine I’m wondering if anybody knows what the problem could be ? My IPad is a pro and works fine with any other draw/ painting apps !!
OK, so I tried finally !!! At first I tried by simply opening my browser and going to Canva's website- draw feature works ! Downloaded the Canva app- draw feature works. Have you tried using an updated app ? Maybe you need to re-install it? Or try with the browser?
I never tried using Canva from my phone, feels too small for me. But it is working on the app on the iPad, so I'm guessing yes? Though again, feels like it would be too small to design using my phone
Yeah, i figured that one out with all the comments. I tried without my pro user the draw app- and couldn't find it, guessing it was because I was a "non user" just on a signed-out account. Glad it works for you
For me what worked was trying to flip the images the other way around, and not in the initial order. Also in some cases the line appeared on canva, but when downloaded it wasn't there. So- worth checking that out. I can't really see what you're doing, or how this looks on your end, but if it's not resolved this could be a bug- that only Canva can fix, so you'll need to contact them for that. Before- make sure you tried both flipping directions, made sure the original file sizes are correct, that the photo templates are an even square, and that you're trying it on a different size in a new project on Canva. You can also try to do this manually with the photos, without the frame.
I think maybe it does work with a free user, maybe it didn't work for me from a free one, cause I didn't use a "free user" just went to Canva as a non-user.
All I did was make spots with colors, I didn't draw anything... I tried, can't draw to save my life LOL Just go to Canva Draw, pick a color and click on the mouse to make a shape, that's all there is to it :)
Oh my sister stay eating them patterns up, EFFORTLESSLY SO. This is GREAT!!
