Thanks Ron! Great commentary and your rant is spot on. White Rim is a must do multiday ride. I did it with Western Spirit Cycling back in 1996. Our guide made all the difference, he was an expert biker, spoke like a geology professor and cooked like a 5 star chef! Well worth the money to do the ride with a guide company.
Back in May last year my friends and I rode down the shafer trail to potash road all the way back to Moab. Definitely in my top 5 rides of all time. Highly recommended. Your video took me back to that moment. Thanks Ron!
Very nice Ron. A bucket list for sure. I'm showing $1025. with White Rim for the 3 day. Money well spent! I like your take on don't make it a race and enjoy the ride. Very appropriate.
Thanks for the compliment. And the price seems about right. There is also the 4 day option but it’s the same route and the pace over 3 days isn’t too hard so I prefer the 3 days.
Thanks again for the compliments! I rode White Rim in October. It's lower down along the river so can be ridden most of the year (unlike the mesa top rides). I guess I would only avoid the Nov to Feb time of the year because it's probably too cold. And also the July-August timeframe because it might be too hot - but maybe for a Georgian the summer would be similar. If you ride the whole trail, you will need to carry water because there are no sources. That's why I would recommend you do it supported by a tour company - I think their scheduled tours run most of the year.
I rode it early in the morning during late October. I was planning to drive home that day, and so got an early start on the ride. That's why the sun is low and there is still early morning mist in the air from on top of Dead Horse Mesa. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the compliment and your own personal experience! Well worth having a supported ride! Thanks for watching!

Glad this video helped you revist those great memories! It's also one of my top rides all time too! And thanks for watching!

This looks alot like the dry regions in South Africa, perfect!
I have not ridden in South Africa but if the trails are like this, then I need to do a visit! Thanks for watching!
One of the quietest places I've ever been!🤘
Yup just blissful! Incredible place!
Great video. Awesome riding. What is the best time of the year to ride it. I’m from south Georgia so I don’t do cold weather 😂 Thanks

Thank you for the reply
Ron what date did this ride occur? The sun is prominent near the horizon in many shots. I'm a big fan.
