They should have made Evandra a Barbarian to begin with. She doesn't wear full armor, so she isn't using a Fighter's main advantage. And she plays her character more like a Barb in most respects, being about anger rather than skill. She even has that fur scarf. At least muli-class her into Barb.

Until level 14, at which point you never need to say it again cuz you stay enraged forever.
@@AngelusAnsell no the level 15 feature persistent rage still only lasts a minute, it just doesn't end early. So you dont have to attaci or take damage each round
@@bunch_of_numbers and that is not the point at all. "I would like to rage" was the catchphrase for a certain Goliath barbarian played by a certain Texan voice actor on a certain D&D stream that has achieved some slight popularity and has some slight part in D&D's growing popularity.

I feel like a good episode would be to see things from their victims perspective. Flip the alignment goggles and make them the villains in tone and presentation for once rather than as a comedic device.
DnD heroes have to murder women all the time. Children is much less commonly acceptable though.
@Dexter clarence Fongkot Nobody has a problem with murdering men. Hell, in the US we have a "Violence against women act". Violence against men is expected and sometimes even encouraged
Not just the men, but the women and children, too.
If they really wanted to get Mogdar to Rage sooner, they should've told him that they would pay for his art.... in exposure.
Cinnamon Barbarians are the best Barbarians!
For a one-shot I played a Goliath Barbarian with a 17 Intelligence who worked as an Archaeologist, documenting and drawing everything the party found while exploring an ancient wizard's dungeon. It was actually quite fun and made for a hilarious tone-shift when the otherwise polite and genteel "good doctor" cleaved a Duergar in half with a greatsword after he attacked the party cleric.
Sounds like you made Jeckyl and Hyde in DnD form.

Don't underestimate the Blind Fighting Ranger. They can hit you, even if they don't see anything. It's the fact they don't see anything makes you easier to hit somehow

@@molybdaen11 Very good choice when you think about it. The barbarian turning against the team is... A rough experience.
I mean, Barbarian tribes do have wise elders, cunning leaders, shamans and skalds. Though if you wanted to play one of those, you'd probably make him multiclass under the D&D rules to get viable access to the mind skills in terms of game mechanics. Like a (half)orc barbarian/druid or barbarian/rogue or even barbarian/bard for the more scholarly type. Just having a full barbarian with a high wisdom score wouldn't help you much, since he'd still get a low base will save.

It's not so much points invested in wisdom as money invested in a bachelors degree in Philosophy. ;-p
I hope Mogdar sticks around for a few episodes. I'd really like to see how a half orc pacifist does passive resistance. I'm also curious about which opticians has a branch among the barbarians.

This just feels like the "It's what my character would do" cliche, but with a different flavor.
Some of Nixie's best comments since Murderhobo. The pacificst barbarian was a lot of fun. Evandra being too confident once again...fun episode all together.
1) I love the smug look of satisfaction on Pat's face when he finally got a reaction out of Mogdar.
2) Pink really works well with Nixie's actress. That "woo" at the end was the cutest thing.
3) At first I wondered why Antrius(spelling?) didn't insult Mogdar, but then I remembered the effects of his 'vicious mockery' skill.
4) I was surprised Elandra(spelling?) didn't respond to Antrius' jabs about her not being a real warrior. It definitely felt like he was doing that on purpose. Can't wait to see more on that.
Overall, this episode was great. It's nice to see each character get their time in the limelight in these newer episodes(favorite episode to date is the musical, hands down).

Now we need a rogue that doesn’t steal everything in their sight and is actually very logical to a fault.
I played one of those, sadly the game didn't run too long since the group was kinda incompatible in multiple ways
The rogue I'm playing now has never picked a pocket, and almost never steals (He will loot a ruin or a dead attacker down to the boots).
He is a consulting detective who hunts thieves, and works very hard at getting multiple employers to pay for the same job.

DnD fighting stereotypes one character at a time.
I don't see a stereotype being fought. It I a selfish player putting personal goals ahead of the group needs for 'flavor'. That has been a standard issue for 20ish years from my experience.

When combat starts, spending your turn doing effectively nothing when your turn comes up is working against the party, ignoring them asking for help is working against the party. Even using nonlethal methods to capture an enemy and discuss things afterwards is a rational, beneficial, and effective plan. Agreeing to be part of a team and then ignoring that team that was counting on you to participate because 'it's what your character would do' is a problem. Hopefully this shines a different light on it.

I played a pacifist priest once. 3.5... using some clever rules could cast an insane number of healing spells and get XP every time I cast them which let me get way more XP than everyone else, which got me higher level (I think I was like 11th when everyone else was only 7th), which of course gave me even more healing. One day one of the other players saw that I was 4 levels higher and got all upset, saying it wasn't fair. I was like, "I'm a pacifist, I can't even fight back if you decide to kill me. My whole reason to exist is to keep you guys alive."
He kept complaining so much I eventually switched to a different character. I don't play pacifists often, but when I do they are amazing at saving the party.
Of course then they complained they weren't getting healed anymore. RIP Brother Polydesius.
