And here we observe the murder hobo in their native environment, standing over an innocent passerby who just wanted to return the pouch they dropped, see how this curious creature grows ever more frustrated at the lack of decent reward for their effort heckled by the ghost of their victim, while their near relatives the dis-interested party members watch from the sidelines awaiting their chance to act. But what is this, it seems the firestarter and the heckling ghost are concocting a plan to move on to more interesting things, yes here it comes a giant fireball seemingly to cremate the victim, its not very successful, better luck in future lives...
I read it in American mythology voice (my own repetition of a gruff Western Expansion style voice). having the outcome of not following morals while being an over the top character (in a band of other characters).

To be fair, Sorcerers are in a rough spot when it comes to magic items. They can't wear any but the very lightest of armour, they'll get squished if they try to engage in melee combat, and most of their spells are just objectively better than any kind of bow they could be using.

don't think I'd hand out a Vorpal sword (I've had one too many bosses be instakilled) but I've gotta agree. 1 gold for the murder hobo, magic items for the more chill people
@@calebleach7988 my DM and me actually figured out how to make a vorpal blade not as broken give it 3 charges and the only way to recharge the sword was to harvest a soul . I was really cautious about what fights I used it in and even then the chances of a 20 is a 5% chance

Missed an amazing opportunity... The passerby at the end rolls for investigation on Evandra's corpse. Rolls a twenty, and uncovers a rod of stupidity. "Where did that come from? I didn't have that?" "not that you realized"...
In 3.5e, there was an armor with that misleading name that actually only carried a permanent magical effect like the equally misleadingly named spell "globe of invulnerability", which made the target immune to any harmful spell effects lower than 5th level spells, but didn't do anything against physical attacks. :-)
He tried one day, but his supervisor came down hard on him saying that it was a "dress code violation" and that he should "take more pride in his position and wear his uniform to support his employers".

I did this one time with a group of Drow. My players attacked them and then learned these were the military detachment sent to HELP them. There are some surface Drow and one City State has a military regiment of Drow volunteers to improve surface relations... The players haven't been helping...
after spending some time searching I can say I've never seen anyone use this in a campaign, but the concept of using a NPC with unfinished business to carry on after to death and essentially haunts the party until he's appeased is a super cool concept. Especially for RP or getting the murder hobo to think first before his next murder. maybe its starts off rather harmless but can get progressively worse until they're affecting you in combat or other checks because you keep ignoring them. definitely working that into my campaign.
I wonder if nixies fireball ignited the necklace of fireballs that they had just looted causing an explosion big enough to kill all three? I wonder if it works that way? Since none of the bodies were actually incinerated, I didn’t think nixies fireball was big enough to do the trick by itself.
With the way that Fireball is written, they could've all got hit. Basically, the description says you point to a location, and a ball of fire poofs forward from it, reaching to 20 feet in radius. Nixie pointed at the corpse that Evandra was looting, and Andrius was sitting right next to Nixie. We can assume that they all failed their DEX saves for half damage from there. So yes, they would've all eaten the full 8D6 fire damage.
The Fireball _ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried._ Artrius was carrying it so it wouldn't have been affected. Whether or not the necklace is flammable is ultimately up to your DM but it's probably not going to be.

And, as a DM, I'd probably roll percentile dice to see if it's set off. But yes, the explosion would 100 percent kill Nixie and Antrius, but maybe not Evandra
This one was good. I really laughed at jokes, especially the "cremation" one. Btw, I'm too familiar with the murderhobo problem so this episode feels close to me. Nice to see that the show still manages to be funny

It's too relatable. Our barbarian has a habit of playing herself. She thinks she's charismatic. Usually her first words are an insult she doesn't recognize. The npc gets angry. She tries to backstep but now they're angry. So they leave. Her other alternative is that she goes murder hobo
Had a mage with the 0-range fireball spell once. He had a suite of protection from own spells spells and a bunch of ways to burn anything in the vicinity.

Regardless, when you "take a 20" you do so instead of rolling. Evandria rolled a nat 1. By the table rules she failed. Of course, it may be different in Pathfinder and Pathfinder 2.0. Most of the things that Pathfinder players say they love about Pathfinder are things that make D&D 5e players not want to use the system. I was once in a D&D 5e game on Roll20 where two of the players just kept going on and on about how much better they though Pathfinder was and then didn't show up the next session after the other player and I said we were never going to switch to Pathfinder because we didn't like the system they were describing.
