an aspiring 14 year old graphic designing interested person here! i would say I LOVED THIS TUTORIAL. for ages ive been trying to find a good chrome effect tutorial and this is it. thank you for the tutorial :) loads of love!
Artboards are great if you're sizing artwork for different social sizes! They're a huge timesaver for me in work! I usually start with a 1x1, when that art is done, drag the artboard down to "new layer" to dupe it and change the size to a 4x5 in "properties". Work on fitting to that new size then dupe that artboard and change to a 9x16. Rename each artboard "Something_1x1", change the name for each artboard size and you can save them all at the same time! PS. Thank you for this demo! Absolutely love your style and get inspired by you constantly 💜
I find art boards useful if I want to compare and contrast a variation without actually changing the original (bc you can easily duplicate an artboard in one click). It makes it so you don't have to open multiple files to compare. It's also helpful if you are creating a set of designs because you can export them all at one time
is there any way i could export this without the black background that keeps the grain? edit: i may be the dumb one but in case anyone else wanted to know just convert everything but the background and grain to a smart object and then make a clipping mask for the grain
question, i want to make a certain shape to make chrome, lets say i made it but the shape is separated into three parts. and its also a little pixel since i have to adjust it. I made the shape on procreate and adjusted the shape when i tried to make it 3d it wouldn't allow me to, so i tried to do so some pen work to make a path but the shape is very curvy, its a falling sludge/slime shape. Can someone help me out any suggestions, tips, directions i could really use the help
