Here's a conspiracy theory for him: His lawyers felt he was such a reprehensible garbage person they "accidentally" sent the phone records on purpose to so Alex could get the full justice coming to him. Maybe his lawyers wanted to see him go down. Things that make you go "hmm.."

This reminds me of a Hong Kong crime drama I watched as a kid where the main antagonist's own lawyer betrayed him at the last minute, argued for his guilt, and it actually got him the death penalty for murders he committed. The lawyer's rationale was this his last case in his career, so he didn't care about committing professional misconduct anymore. I always wondered what would really happen if it were real life; wouldn't it become a mistrial?

There's video of them laughing and joking right before their interview just an hour after their kid was killed. I can't shake that 1 video. It was odd behavior. THEN soon as the reporter realized they where live it's like they said "action" & they went from laughing to "very serious" now I STILL believe it happened BUT I think people have a right to watch that video and think for themselves AND if they believe it was fake they should be allowed to say it out loud and anyone who doesn't want to hear that should walk away or change the channel. They are separate, one looks to recuperate actual losses for the claimants - the other (punitive) looks to punish and deter further illegal/unlawful behavior. Under most US legal jurisdictions, they are calculated and made separately.

His lawyers didn't accidentally send them this information. It was intentionally done, and the plaintiff's lawyers took the bait and used it in court. This will allow Alex to have what he needs to appeal the case and overturn it.

Exactly, I never thought Jones' lawyer made a mistake by releasing the texts. In my naivety I thought the lawyer did that to give the parents a break, I thought his lawyer is a human. But, yesterday I realized it was on purpose so they can claim mistrial.
Yeaaaa.... but keep in mind he testified for the those 2 years... so his lies needed to be fact-checked.
The mother testified that her son was born...but she didn't say her son died and was buried etc.
If he were going to do that, he would've released "secret" evidence that doesn't incriminate him to this degree because his plea for mistrial isn't based on how damning the evidence you accidently forked over is, only that it was turned over erroneously. Even HIS lawyers wouldn't make that mistake. Instead they literally handed over the MOST damning evidence you possibly could. There's only two reasons that likely happened, his lawyers truly are that incompetent, or his lawyers lost their stomach for helping get a literal wet fart of a human out of justice and leaked to lose the case on purpose. I VERY believe that jones was hearing about those emails/texts for the first time in that clip.
$2,000,000 / 26 = $76,923.08. That judge better bump that number up a whole lot more than that. That doesn't even cover legal and court fees.

But it also hurts that my own brother is one of those people who promoted and parroted this travesty. And from reports of the tracing of his network of enterprises, it could be hundreds of millions. His movements of large amounts of money in recent weeks is likely being watched by multiple federal agencies, and he will be open to federal felony crimes of tax evasion and misrepresentation.

Jones is way more intelligent than the My Pillow guy. That "accidental" telephone data dump was a calculated move to set things up for a direct mistrial and/or a reason for an appeal.
