I agree with you. people dont understand the engineering behind the production of a particular car/model. Putting an engine is super easy but after that be ready for problems and then spending most of the time at workshops ruining everything later on !

Yep, exactly. It should be the absolute last resort. It also devalues the car imho.

😂😂😂 I am now retired. This car was on the road even before I started working!. Had an Opel Kadet with round light around 1984. I think is at 72'. Bought for RM3300. Sold for RM3000 few years later. 😂

I so agree with spending money every month (if any) towards the car instead of the banks (and then you spend extra on maintenance again smh).

Smh hard! I came to this realisation in 1998, when I bought my last brand new car, cos yes, it was costing me money (a lot) to upkeep and I was saddled with monthly repayments too. Suffered like hell. Never again! 🫣

Upgrade the carburettor is good enough unless engine really need overhaul then maybe can consider a different one 😄

Yeah I'm remember nearly 15 years ago... Someone decided to stuff 2jz engine inside 6th gen Toyota Corona hood....t130 ... It was RED..
That engine looks horrible because just ngam²@ barely fitted.
The firewall and transmission tunnel gets "mutated" for that 2jz and its manual transmission to fit...
The front suspension mounts were not properly welded...
Not to mention that the owner needed to toss away original 2 sequential turbochargers...
Just replaced with one large hks turbo to fit that crammed engine bay...and it had to use Toyota Aristo's 5 speed AUTOMATIC...
Because he destroyed 2 manual transmissions in the process ,somehow 🤷....
HIS son decided NOT TO KEEP that Corona 2jz after his death and got scrapped...
Yeah you're right sometimes people going too far for these old cars for wrong modifications....

That's just crazy, "to each their own" I always say, but that's just nuts. Even the chassis won't be able to take that kind of added grunt :(
