This was awesome much better than a lot of things I watch for repairs. Very clear and detailed. BUT PLEASE DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC DRILL FOR BOLTS WITH GAS FUMES PRESENT. JUST DON'T.
That's a very good point. I had not thought about the safety hazard behind doing that. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for bringing that up!
i had the same experience as HB. i bought my 2014 kia soul brand new and first started to notice this problem back in 2021/2022. was told by the dealership that everything was fine just like you were. however within a day or two, the check engine light would come on following the fuel level sensor light. after driving around for another period of time, the fuel level sensor light usually go off and followed by the check engine light. at one point, was given a quote for the fuel level sensor part at a price over $600 at an autozone store in dallas, tx indicating that the sensor is attached to the pump or something & can not be replaced separately. so, i just kept driving it until last week, suddenly i was not able to get over 60/mph. will take it to the dealership for oil change tomorrow and see what they say about it. thank you so so much ABR for filming & sharing this video. it's extremally helpful!!
This was VERY helpful, I just purchased a 2014 kia soul about 2 months ago and I noticed the sensor was off as it would come ans go. Took it to the dealership and they told me it was fine and to come back if it happened again and charged me $75 for buddy to look at it. So I'm probably not going back and I'll do this myself
That's difficult to tell. My issue didn't cause problems with the starting of the car, so I would guess it is something else. Have you checked your spark plugs?
It took me a couple of hours from start to finish. I was honestly expecting it to be more difficult than it was. I tried to document everything I did, so I hope the video is helpful. Good luck!
Follow this link directly. This part says it fits a 2020 soul. I have not personally done this on a 2020, but the link says it fits that model. I hope that helps! www.kiaautoparts.com/oem-parts/kia-fuel-sender-unit-94460b2500?c=bD0xJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM%3D
It should be very similar. I have only done this on my 2014. However, the part I linked to in the description of this video is supposed to be the same part for the 2014 and 2015 models.
I don't understand why people forget the way they took out something, then want to put it back in other way. I don't understand why creators invented tool pick, why not use it in this case? Why company created glove and people don't use it in this case? Why people do not protect their hands?
Thanks for posting this. It helped me replace my fuel sender in just over an hour
Nice! I'm glad it helped.

Happy to help!
Was it actually attached to your fuel pump? I'm having this issue right now.
Hi @ashleyriley6095 - sorry I missed your question. Were you able to get your issue resolved?

Hi, I have Kia soul 2016 sometimes start sometimes need to try 5 times to get start, do you think the fuel pump is the problem, thanks

How long did it take you to do this? I’m debating on giving it a try on my forte.

Will this link work for a 2020 Kia soul

Can this work on a 2015 soul?

I just got a used one so we’ll see if my fuel Center goes bad
Hopefully not, but if it does, now you know how to fix it ;-)

Using gloves for this is definitely a good idea!
Does anyone have a link to the unit?
