Talking about letting a WOLF, not a fox into the henhouse...😅😅😅😅
@chriswilliams8849 Sheesh😂, yeah my mind can't unsee what it witnessed😂, that man was different! Do you think the NBA will ever go back to some of the rules of that time?
@TheePhilipLyons no, I don't. The league changed a lot of the rules to enhance scoring opportunities which they felt would attract more fans. No hand checking, more focus on 3 point shooting, ect. That's one of the reasons Jordan would DECIMATE today's player. He could easily get to any spot on the floor he wanted to. (We'll, as you can see, he did anyway). With the spacing the focus on 3 point shooting creates and no hand checking? Game over. He'd average 40-45 points per game...
Jordan was an enigma...havent seen anyone like him before his time or after. Jordan is the most clutch shooter and finisher in nba history proven in the regular season post season playoffs and finals. The only 4 people in nba history to win regular season scoring title be selected to nba 1st defensive team, win regular season mvp, the finals mvp and win a championship and they are 1-Jordan, b-Jordan, III-Jordan and last player is Jordan. Best to ever do it on one of the best teams ever with the 2 3pt dynasty Bulls.
Players today are allowed to carry the ball. That makes it look like they have better handle, but it's an illusion. If Isaiah Thomas or Magic Johnson had been allowed to do that in the 80's....c'mon now.
So true! The current generation would never fully grasp the limitations placed upon players by those rules and the type of opposition (that the rules and the way they were enforced had enabled) they had to contend with. Simply because they don't and will never have first-hand experience of playing in such a system. If they had such an oportunity, most of their support for the currently fashionable idea that the current crop is just way more skillful would disappear! I remember so vividly the immense relief I felt when I first started allowing myself to carry the ball the modern way. As if huge weight dropped from my shoulders - all of a sudden a lot more stuff became possible! And I'm not even talking about the effects of the departure of old-school defensive techniques and tactics (like handchecking)!

Yep. That’s the thing that’s hardest to get across to today’s younger viewers: Michael Jordan doesn’t HAVE a “highlight reel”, his CAREER is a non-stop highlight reel, and the biggest highlight of it all wasn’t any bag of gravity-defying tricks anyway - it is his cumulative impact on his entire sport, and even sports in general, and the psychological hold he took over everything and everyone who had to face him, or was aware of him. This was the NBA’s only inexplicable alien genius visitation, and its equivalent has never been seen, before, during, or since.

The clip at 6:11 was a moment where MJ drove to the basket for a huge dunk and #34 of the 76ers , Charles Barkley, and his teammate, #6, Dr. J., grabbed MJ at the same time in hopes of keeping MJ from scoring, which was funny because MJ still dunked on them…MJ dunked on EVERYONE regardless of size, and speed…he would be just as dominant in today’s NBA…especially with the shift as tissue rules in favor of scoring..🔥👍
Not only is michael jeffrey jordan the goat the man would average 50 into today's league, his bag was so deep I couldn't even carry all the tools from home depot,he would Annihilate today's era 🐐🐐23💯💯🎯🎯🎯

And as for todays game, MJ would do WHATEVER he had to in order to be the best player in the league...NO ONE since MJ (besides Kobe) has the "live in the gym" drive and determination to be the best. MJ did all that on 2pointers, dunking on 7ft bigs when everyone could camp under the rim, getting shoulders, elbows, rib shots and full on tackles, and STILL scored. Goat 🐐
I'm glad you noticed that young man the whole team actually played him at times matter of fact a lot so imagine in today's game where they don't play defense and it's one on one in the lane is wide open he literally would average about 45
What 'skills' are you talking about that players have today? Avoiding the paint? Missing games over a broken fingernail? Standing on the 3 point line and waiting for the ball? I don't see much skill, that's why viewership is down over 50%. BC today's ball sucks
Players today skills are elevated because of MJ. He completely changed the game from inside/out to a perimeter game. Players today are allowed to carry and travel and their's no interior defense.

They didn't keep a stat on "bodies" back in the day, but some stat head went out and actually did the research and it was some astronomical number near 2000.
You do understand that not all but a lot of Kyrie's success around the rim and in the paint is because there's little to absolutely no resistance in the middle right?!!!! Michael Jordan was hitting his layups, dunk's and floaters over the top of 6 ft 10 PF's and 7ft tall Center's whereas largely uncontested!!! You can't with an educated and unbiased mindset make any comparisons between 80's and 90's player's and the Current one's because of the conditions of what they had to overcome in the paint isn't even in the same comparable stratosphere as the Power Puff league of today!!!
"Power Puff League"😂🔥! So what I'm gathering from all the comments is that MJ's inside to mid-range ability was extremely good, and it was that good over some hardcore defense from extra tall centers who focused on their defense and interior offense like Shaq🤔? Also that today's game has gotten "soft" and players aren't allowed to play defense as hard as back then, so MJ would take advantage of that because of his play style and dominate?🤔🤔🤔
@TheePhilipLyons no they're allowed to play defense they just choose not to!! That's what I said!! The NBA is less physical than the WNBA and that's absolutely a problem!!! Why you singled out Shaq is completely weird to me because I never said or mentioned his name at all
@@TheePhilipLyonsThat is correct. The rules have changed to make scoring easier and made the league soft. The players are allowed to carry, take 3-4 steps and still blow wide open lay-ups. So don't think the handles are so much better. Maybe except for Kyrie. Idk what dude is talking about. Sounds like he was just in his feelings.
What do you mean how would he do. Aren't you watching? The game was extremely physical. Hand check, The Jordan rules. If he was playing this baby crying era he would be scoring 60 a night. God please
I'd just encourage you to watch some full games. Thanks to RUclips and other media sources, you can find many of them. I'd look at a few from every year and start at the ones where the stat line for MJ wasn't what people typically think of, and compare it to some games like the 63 point Boston game, the 69 point Cleveland game, the multiple 55+ point games. The point is Jordan's "bad" stat games were still better than most peoples' great stat games. That's what people miss and never talk about. His bad was still All Star level. Like most, you'll go in looking for the offensive show, but it's the defense and no quit attitude that will be even more impressive. To answer your question about how well MJ would do in today's league.... he'd be just fine and maybe even better than he was back then, and he'd average whatever he wanted to and whatever was needed to give his team the best chance to win. He once had to play point guard for several games in a row due to another player's injury and he had like 10 triple doubles in 11 games. There are absolutely some greats that can be discussed in the GOAT debate, but the eye test really is like Jordan and everyone else.
What exists today isn't "boosted" compared to the period from 1985 to 2005. Someone once put a minute-by-minute video comparison of a game where Jordan, at 38 years old, played against Charlotte in 2001 versus a game where LeBron, at around the same age, played against Charlotte. There was much more defense in 2001, and offensive players had to move a lot more to escape that defense.
Ha ha Kyrie? If you allowed 90s players to carry and travel on every dribble like today’s game you’d have several more kyries. Tim Hardaway, Rod Strickland immediately Think about how open the paint is today and you can’t breathe on the offensive player. MJ averaged 37 ppg driving mostly to the hole without the 3 ball against real 7 foot defensive centers. What you think MJ would do in today’s league? Ha. He’d average 45 20 on the free throw night every night
This era sucks with no defense means no competition I don't see skills it's easy to get to the basket and everybody shoots threes the game is unwatchable Mike would kill the league and because of the rules I put nobody in this era in the top 5o the game today sucks
In Todays game he would average what ever he wanted with 20+ free throws every game. The question is not how would Jordan played against Curry today but how would Curry have been in Jordans day. I say Jordan would be fine today but Curry would have been crushed/broken in the 80's.
In terms of skill, there is a higher floor in today's game. The top tier athletes today are are not a lot different than the top athletes in the 70's through 90's. The game was WAY more physical in the 80's & '90s than it is today. There have been a lot of rule changes to promote more offense to increase the popularity of the game in the modern era. With the stretched floor spacing in today's game and no hand-checking allowed on defense, Jordan would probably average 40 today. Remember the cat was 6'6" tall with a 48" vert and 4.3 speed. He was the most intense, physical, quickest & overall athletic player on the floor every night and I still haven't seen a player with his mental and physical dominance since he retired. I do love me some Lebron and would start a franchise around him... if Mike wasn't available :)
10:10 You are LITERALLY one of FEW PEOPLE who would E V E R even acknowledge that. Know how many reactions to THIS VIDEO I have watched❓Infinity😂😂😂😂😂Nobody really acknowledges that OR the “spin dunk” from earlier. Magic said he did that (for the first time❓) in DREAM PRACTICE. Mike’s “team” was losing. Magic says, “Michael, if you don’t turn into AIR JORDAN, we’re gonna blow you out….”💯Mike took off, David Robinson took off. He did it. Magic and everyone was like WOW🫨🫨🫨🫨🫨🫨🫨🫨
Jordan was 6'6 he ran a 4.39 had a 48'' vertical but the rules. It would be easy for him to play in today's game because you can play rough like back then just think no hand checking no crowding the shooter just different rules plus most of the stars don't play every game like he did so he would always eat lol
Dennis Rodman said MJ would average 50 pts in today's NBA. That does seem a little high and I think he'd score more like 40-45. Michael does have 10 Scoring Titles to his credit and Bird & Magic have ZERO, Kobe has 2 and LeBron has 1. These guys are a mile behind.
What you see today is carrying and traveling. Ja carries every time he dribbles. That's not skill young fella, thats the league allowing bending of the rules for scoring.
MJ would destroy todays NBA! With 3 steps allowed, carrying allowed, no hand checking, no true big men in the lane??? (MJ had a 48" vertical!) (Not called "Air Jordan" for nothing!) MJ would average 45-50 or what ever he wanted in todays softer era!
Tough? You wear his sneakers. People say 'The Michael Jordan of' when talking about the greatest in any particular profession, i.e 'Tiger Woods is the Michael Jordan of golf'...Six rings, the repeat 3-peat... THE GOAT. END OF DISCUSSION (unless you have Larry Legend as yours). TOP TWO.
I'm 56 yrs. old and I guarantee you that you are not more skilled than me. You may be able to shoot from farther and over-dribble but that's about it. All I need is two, maybe three dribbles to get you off center (off balance) and get a high percentage shot. My mid-range game Grim Reaps cause its nasty as Shaq's feet. My back to bucket game is insane due to impeccable footwork, which is a skill, and I have an extremely efficient jump-hook with either hand. My left-hand is also very strong off-dribble and I can drive hard left or right. I can also finish on either side of the rim with either hand. I'm getting back to ballin' after not playing for about three years due to two herniated disks and torn meniscus in right knee. Give me a few months to get my timing and stamina back and we can get together to find out who's got Jesus Shuttlesworth game.
My Top Three players of all time are #1 Michael Jordan #2 Larry Bird #3 Magic Johnson. Michael Jordan would dominate in todays NBA. He could score 40 and 50 points when the players clogged the Lane and were physical. In todays NBA Michael Jordan would at least do that well since they don't block the Lane and flopping draws Fouls.
Mike dominates in any era , and the difference in that era and this is MJ's Era THEY PLAYED DEFENSE, AND THESE GUYS SHOTS 3's and COMPLAIN its so soft now I rarely watch , stop the disrespect to the guys who came before played for less money also PLAYED EVERY NIGHT
Young man there's nothing basic about what you're witnessing. There's no one in the NBA today doing this. As far as what MJ would be like in today's soft ass NBA, he would be more dominant
87 to 93 version of MJ averages 45 to 50 today easy 96 to 98 MJ 40 easy.. That's a simple breakdown using different versions of MJ.. And you have to break it down using versions of MJ.. can't do it any other way
No hand check, no centers in the paint, weaker players and rule changes geared toward emphasize scoring. Pretty much any of the legends in 80s and 90s would dominate. Statistically Jordan would average whatever he wants. Kyrie wouldn't have been an All-Star in the 80's and 90's.
Mj vs Curry ? I loved Steph but even he would admit he would get cooked, as far as handles you have to understand young fella the rules have softened up in this "Your" era, players today can carry and travel far more than in the 90's. You are young so i'll give you some slack but just google some of the questions you have.
Yu really have bought into this bs about how todays players being more skilled than previous generations haven’t you. Sad. Today’s players have no better skill than players have had for the last 30years. They think they do because they’ve never faced real defence due to the rule changes tying both hands behind a defenders back. You put MJ in today’s league and he’s going to make them all look like chumps just like he did back then.
It only seems like basic handles because they don't travel, carry and walk like they get away with today. (Kyrie being the exception). Plus there's no hand checking anymore so the game is much softer now. Not to be funny but today's basketball is like what And 1 streetball was back then.. no D. Just as unimpressed as you appear with basketball then is just the way we or should I say I, look at basketball now. I enjoyed your reaction tho.
I hate to break it to you bro but not one player in the NBA today is tough. And if they are they haven't had to show it because there is no defense in the NBA today. Michael would Dominate and he would score at least 40 a game.

Someone once put a minute-by-minute video comparison of a game where Jordan, at 38 years old, played against Charlotte in 2001 versus a game where LeBron, at around the same age, played against Charlotte. There was much more defense in 2001, and offensive players had to move a lot more to escape that defense.
He'd average 40 pts a game in soft NBA of today. He is the 🐐.
Ha ha Kyrie? If you allowed 90s players to carry and travel on every dribble like today’s game you’d have several more kyries. Tim Hardaway, Rod Strickland immediately
Think about how open the paint is today and you can’t breathe on the offensive player. MJ averaged 37 ppg driving mostly to the hole without the 3 ball against real 7 foot defensive centers. What you think MJ would do in today’s league? Ha. He’d average 45 20 on the free throw night every night
Sheesh! I feel you🔥!
This era sucks with no defense means no competition I don't see skills it's easy to get to the basket and everybody shoots threes the game is unwatchable Mike would kill the league and because of the rules I put nobody in this era in the top 5o the game today sucks
I never see a comment about most of these highlights are in the playoffs
In Todays game he would average what ever he wanted with 20+ free throws every game. The question is not how would Jordan played against Curry today but how would Curry have been in Jordans day. I say Jordan would be fine today but Curry would have been crushed/broken in the 80's.
The Goat 🐐 MJ
He'll get everything he wants today, including the so-called dribbling, but that doesn't matter
Sheesh🔥🔥🔥!
Check out Jordan "one of the best defenders ever "
💯
That absolutely was "NOT" a dunk on wemby for one it didn't count and the most important is that he threw it in that's not a dunk folks
Players today are not more skilled. There is no defense being played today so they look more skilled. But they are not.
MJ would last a year because he needs competition and well there is none today .
For Detroit Pistons defense against Jordan see Voyager video
I feel sorry for todays youth. The amount of ignorance.
Hey Man, The Guy Holding Him By The Waist Was On That Dunk was Charles Barkley Man!!!!!!!!! Read The Jersey
TOP TWO.
3:10 MJ against Steph❓❓❓That’s easy. Mr Dell would have to EDUCATE HIM ABOUT MIKE💯#DontDoThat♥️ #MJKnowsTheCurrys😂
The answer to your question about how many bodies were there? EVERYONE was a victim and got some.
You want bodies? React to vince carter. He's the wildest dunker EVER!
I'm 56 yrs. old and I guarantee you that you are not more skilled than me.
You didn't say steph against MJ did you?
Curry has no chance of beating jordan
Mike dominates in any era , and the difference in that era and this is MJ's Era THEY PLAYED DEFENSE, AND THESE GUYS SHOTS 3's and COMPLAIN its so soft now I rarely watch , stop the disrespect to the guys who came before played for less money also PLAYED EVERY NIGHT
Young man there's nothing basic about what you're witnessing. There's no one in the NBA today doing this. As far as what MJ would be like in today's soft ass NBA, he would be more dominant
87 to 93 version of MJ averages 45 to 50 today easy
96 to 98 MJ 40 easy..
This is the weakest the league has ever been since the 70s
I hate to break it to you bro but not one player in the NBA today is tough. And if they are they haven't had to show it because there is no defense in the NBA today. Michael would Dominate and he would score at least 40 a game.
