I know how you feel about getting your truck and trailer looking good will surely make you feel so good trucking down the road!! It use to make me so happy that I had to sit on both my hands to keep me from waving at everybody!!!
I sure hope people see the ugly side of hopper bottoming. Been doing it for 10 years and everyone thinks it's just easy money. The hurry up and wait game is like no other. Some of those Tyson plants in Oklahoma and Texas are just a pain. Good luck bubba, i'll be looking for you out there. Been running mainly in West, TN. Lookout for the blue and white striped KW with the pig on the hood. Frenchfry, waving a hand.
A mate of mine was importing new Timpte trailers into Australia for a few years. Hopper bottom trailers are not very popular down here. He got them in single/ b- doubles/ road train combinations. Nearly all our bulk products get carried in tip over axles.. or ‘tippers’ as we call them. McNaught transport in Finley,New South Wales was the importer 👍🏻
How do the tippers work? Tippers over here typically you drive on a ramp or back up to a ramp and then the ramp raises the truck and trailer or sometimes just the trailer.
Dirty Trucker! Love your content brother! I have a real big question man, would you do a video on what it takes to be an Owner Operator and what to expect and how to find work for someone like me haha? Sorry brother this is my dream and I am still trying to learn how to go about it and what I need? 🙈 definitely look up to the guys like you man I really do appreciate what y’all do. I have been a lineman for 10 years and I am ready to jump on this passion of mine! Be safe out there bud
Thanks for the complements man! I can definitely do a video on starting being an owner operator. It’s sure not as easy as it use to be. I can promise you that!
@@thedirtytrucker9633 man that would really be awesome brother! I know I would greatly appreciate it! I am really just wanting to start this because it’s been something I have wanted to do just not exactly sure on the best way to go about it if that makes any sense? I know your busy but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for if you do make a video like that for sure!! Be safe DT
@@thedirtytrucker9633 I've had cheap loads, just to get another cheap load. Weekends are the worse, idiot dispatcher s think they are doing you a favor driving you to bankruptcy.
I’d say that 90% of my weeks I know exactly what I’m doing and how much it pays before I ever leave the house. I don’t even leave the house unless it all makes sense. But….occasionally I get mixed up in some dumb stuff but that’s just trucking.
Thanks man. Run from this hopper mess! It’s a huge game of hurry up and wait. For example I sat over 5 hours waiting to unload today. Drove 25 miles to my reload and they are out of product. I’ll sit another 3 hours waiting for them to have enough product to load. Just a typical day of hopper life buddy!

Yes sir! Tyson is a pain most places you go! I try to stay clear of them best I can! I keep an eye out for you man!
Passed your KW a few weeks ago. Hwy 22 going north, but did not take you long, to pass me in the left lane. High speed chicken feed truck hammer down.
@@Pete-from-Tnwouldn’t doubt it for a second lol. We’re always choo choo trucking.

@@thedirtytrucker9633 I sent you a email with a few different combinations that we run down here. The hopper trailers are the imported ones.
Truck looks awsome pulling that Timpte man. When I clicked on the video I thought it said I'm saving money for new mud flaps 🤣
Lol! I got a sheet of stall mat just waiting to be cut. I’ve been so busy I’ve just not had time to do it yet
Thanks for the compliment by the way

Gr8 Vid & Content!!!!!!!😎
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Great video 👍 enjoy your content. Heard about you from the 806 driver.
Thanks man! I got several more coming soon!
I hope you're only taking this to get home, five hours of traveling would not be worth the time.
It would really depend on the pay. They and the fact it went home makes it a win win

Thanks for sharing. Question: is it true that Hopper drivers can drive 150 miles without ELD?
Some commodities are exempt for 150 air mile exemption. Not all hopper loads qualify.
@@thedirtytrucker9633 thank you again.
I will find that information because I don't know too much about it. Only I have done reefer and dry van
Good Video. Just came across your videos. I was thinking about getting into the hooper game. Any advice for new comers?
