For some reason if I don't edit a video straight away I find that very difficult to work on it after some time. I still have a lot of interesting footage from south of Russia, Georgia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Macau, and Cambodia. I'll do these videos before this year ends, and also show you a few more countries I'm about to visit this year (the Philippines soon!) ❤
@nikki how come Sanction Ivan went back and crazy sergey with no issues no problem all his friends nit mobilized???
And doing their blog stupid stuff but using internet?
Wow the Philippines! One week is too short. We have 7,641 islands for you to explore. Aside from Manila , visit Cebu, Bohol, Boracay, Coron(Palawan). Have fun in the Philippines!
Having a Russian Visa does not limit you? As a Russian did you lean more towards China or the west/America?
@@Ab_43336 if I come back to Russia I will not be mobilised too. Still I prefer not to go back
@@stellaolivesucalit4948 even a year won't be enough for all the islands :)
As a Huawei RnD employee I’ve spent 4 month in Shanghai this year. It’s wonderful city with unique vibe! Definitely love it!

Thank you Niki for all you share. I use videos like this to help with my 11 year old in our homeschool. This shows him a point of view that is interesting to him and he has developed a true love for the ways of life in other Countries. This is information and seeing places in a way he can't learn and see from 'school' videos or text books. So thank you for helping me and my kiddo to learn culture all the way to America!!
Great, short tour Niki! It definitely made me more interested in visiting China one day! Looking forward to your next video in the PH!
Thank you Niki! Enjoyed watching as I always do! ❤❤😊
Thank you Lori!

Shanghai also provided refuge to Russians after Bolshevik revolution. That was a century ago.
You are very animated in this video and it’s wonderful to watch! That Russian restaurant looked excellent, but you can’t tell me that was water in that Stolichnaya bottle😂😂😂😂😂 thanks also for the brief shots of bing which we actually have in Portland, Oregon, USA. Some Chinese ex-pats sell it and it is very tasty!
Pollution, especially air pollution, would be a big factor for me in China. I don’t think I could breathe very well there.
Niki,
One of your best yet!
This format (walkabout) very interesting and engaging for me and probably most viewers.
Most excellent work!! Keep it up please...
Thank you for your perspective and for sharing vids of places some of us will likely never experience.
When in high school over 60 years ago, we also had the same saying at slumber parties, “don’t discuss religion or politics!!
The food you showed in China looked wonderful. Your Russian friend could easily pass for an American in the US. His English is perfect and his accent is 100% American. He and his wife seemed very nice. Her English was excellent too. The air pollution would be a big negative for me.
Most of the videos of Shanghai show clear sky, so it could be just a foggy day, not purely due to pollution. The air quality in Shanghai should be good normally.
As an American I can tell he is not American from his speech right away. Also Russians blend in into a crowd in the US but if I had to pick him out I would say Russian or German. Air quality in Shanghai is improving each year as more electric vehicles hit the road.
China's environment has improved a lot in the last decade or so, and the air quality in Shanghai is very good most of the time@@Banmuyuan

@niki Fantastic Niki twice today. I missed it live. The food looked great. 🏆
Love this type of video!
Great trip. I lived in Shanghai for 4.5 yrs on Wulumuqi Rd too. From 1989 to 1993. Gr8 food & time. Couldnt go back. Its all too much glass.
welcome to China !
Thank you for sharing your adventure! Cheers!
It's always great to see different cultures getting along. Perhaps one day the world will catch up to you, Mr. Proshin! (Spa-see-bah)
It's hard when the US and its allies are bent on keeping developing countries from developing.
lol!
That restaurant made me drool 🤤
The food looks so delicious.
Life expectancy in Shanghai is 84.11 years. About 7 years more than US’s life expectancy.
And I wonder what it would be if that Shanghai native emigrated to the US? 😁
@@ShenandoahTim US was richer compare to Shanghai before. not now. not future. actually nearly all citizens in Shanghai are affordable to migrant to other country. but most of then don't. the percentage is actually low. the number may be huge because China is most populated country.
@@louiswu6300 What I was getting at is life expectancy tells us very little. I believe in the aggregate, any person who emigrates to the US will live longer than in their native country. It sort of makes sense. Age is related to genetics. If you emigrate to the US that means you've got money or will be employed in the US, so you'll have good housing, food, and medical care along with good genes from the old country.
@@ShenandoahTim Chinese food is 10 times better then US. if not 100 times. Chinese has more healthy shin body is for sure. compare to the US. and medical treatment is very cheap even without health care. the majority Chinese in city still affordable for hospital. not mention traditional Chinese medicine, which as cheap as food. and still works pretty well. that improved life expectancy in China.
@@ShenandoahTim Come on generally people Who migrant for US from China has a huge reason for political reason who is always anti China. especially for economic criminals, a lot Chinese flee to Hong Kong and then to US. the one who study in US and find a job there still can't make decisions to leave China. because China do have advantages in safety, high tech life, etc.
I love these travel vlogs! 👍
Edit: 4:20 "Handsome boy!" She was 1 second away from pinching your cheeks

I absolutely love your travel videos. It helps this Oregon USA girl see that part of the world. You are so warm, intelligent, charming, and fun to watch. Your friends are blessed to know you! I can't wait to see the Phillipines through your eyes. Be sure to ask them why the term "Filipino" is spelled with the letter "F" instead of "P" like Phillipines!

Thank you from you video in China Niki. For some reason i have not seen many travel videos of China before. The robot who brings you food is amazing. Kind of scary also🙂

So interesting to see the video! Welcome to China~
At 7 min in this video, like your friend said, I saw some related videos on the bilibili website, we also privately say about restrictions on freedom of talk in offline social. Some time we also share our thoughts on politics, economy, culture, religion in chinese website. Some specific sensitive topics will be restricted, maybe it lead to people lost the right to know the truth of things. But sometimes things are not simple and require a lot of information to judge, most of the time for ordinary people is spent on specific things in life, so we don't have enough time and relevant professional knowledge to support our credible standpoint. so maybe, discussions of some issues can become confusing.
I believe we all want peace, have great sympathy for all those who suffered in the riots.
Hi Niki. I very much enjoy your videos. If you ever get to Australia I would be happy to host you for a month of your tourist visa. I live in Glenelg which is a beachside suburb of Adelaide. I have two Russian families as neighbours. I am sure my local Council tourism department would also be glad to have some exposure of this lovely area. Vietjet comes to Melbourne and I am told will soon offer budget fares direct from Adelaide.
I wish in my lifetime I could travel to the places you get to! ❤️
For a place with not mush pollution Xishuangbanna, You will love, lot to see.
The food looks delicious in Shanghai.
Another awesome video. I totally want to go to China now
Some biker bought a PS 5, China is indeed super advanced.
There are rude people all over the World. Not just the USA. I love your videos and following you.
Prob more Russian lmao
this is because in Chinese mindset US new like CNN WASHINGTON POST , THE NEW YORK TIMES and FOX NEWS all reporting fake new about China and of course they will always think that US are unfriendly to them
Lecturing others is considered as rude.
@@LongLivetheCapitalist YOu are rude!
That's not what she was saying though. She was saying she'd often see Americans treating Chinese badly, in China. I can also confirm this being in China a handful of times. Quite a few Americans talk down to the locals.
There is a Russian/Ukrainian community in Davao’s Samal island. A few of them are vloggers - Jelena Kopilec, Filipinez, and New Life of Urainian Refugee. It would be nice to see you visit them and vlog about your visit on that island.
Take care and God bless. 🥰
Safe travels Nikki. Enjoy the Philippines. I’ll be here the day you get to eat good home cooking back in Russia herself. I wish for it oh so much. Спасибо и Пока 👋🏽

This was a great video for me, thank you Niki. Could have watched for much longer. I have never been to China. Only Hongkong and Taiwan. I fear that I never will be able to go there and that I will have,to aquaimted with the culture through you tube as much as this is possible.
Wow, "never been to China, just HongKong and Taiwan." That's freakin' hilarious!!!!
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Hong Kong and Taiwan are China too . Fortunately both show us the complexities of Chins . And what all of China could be. I’ve also been to both of those places. Never to mainland China. Have a good one!!
@@jilbertb well, China mainland to be exact… yes
@@wolfeinhorn4661 yes I know that…. it´s just not the same in my mind.. should have been more specific
Taiwan and Hong Kong have the same culture as China. So as far as the Chinese culture is concerned, you have seen it. The standard of living is higher in both Taiwan and Hong King. However, China has been very aggressive on its technology advancement. Also due to the rapid economic development, China has brought close to 800 million of its population out of poverty. China has many world heritage historical sites if you are interested in history. If you like food then you are in for a big treat in China. There will be thousands of local cousins to chose from.
Welcome to the Philippines, Niki, Mabuhay!!!
Taobao!!!! >.< Order everything while you're there!!! It is now impossible to get anything direct from Taobao outside of China. I need a swimsuit which I put in my cart but cannot check out (even though Taobao used to be easy ordering from overseas).
You just made me think the next time I go back to the UK to see the folks that I should transfer in China, as getting a visa for China from Taiwan is so awkward and expensive.
Go to Brazil Niki, you’ll love it there !
Dark 😝😝
Philippines is great, i was at CLARK air force base, its closed now but has stuff left over and a lot of old airman still live in Angeles city, that is on Luzon above Manila
So interesting
At 3:36 into your video you show an old telephone cell - presumably dating back to the pre-mobile phone era? Do they actually still use these things in Shanghai... or is it just a relic which was just left to take up space in the shopping mall?
It is a public telephone, perhaps for customers whose mobile phone is so happens not working. It is free of charge in Shenzhen subway stations.
Favourite part ▪︎ for now....! Great expectations...
Exactly my thoughts, too! Like what was her husband thinking when she said that? 🤔
Just a realist 😅
Thanks!

Ben watching you for a year your a great and good young human --- please do not let a coulture control you ... If you eat a dog you should show us.
Niki ! - I'm glad you posted this early vlog... snapshot from the past. You find the "Heart-song" in the people you talk with. Great editing with music - I'm thinking of the Russian restaurant. China - futuristic, yes, but i worry about the human component. i contemplate the "Russia-in-Exile" community because... it is a community looking forward to better times...😊...
Chongqing is not China's largest city. So called Chinese cities are really geographical subdivisions within a province. Chongqing was carved out of Szechuan province a few decades ago to speed up development of China's interior, encompassing 80000 km^2, that is roughly the same size as Austria. Out of the 30+ million people living there I would guess that the buildup area of Chongqing holds no more than 10 million people, probably a lot less as this is one of the lesser developed areas in China, and the rest of the population being rural. Shanghai is at least 3 times larger.
In terms of area, Chongqing is the largest city in China, while in terms of population, Shanghai is the largest
不重庆是的 因为他是直辖市,相当于中国的一个省份城市 美国的一个独立州 所以从单个城市来看确实重庆最大 但是中国人一般不认为他是一个城市而是一个省份
Thanks

Niki you should visit Sydney for your next film and I can show you around
Welcome Russians come to China for tourism, study and investment, and hope that the two countries with land power system can implement all industrial cooperation and exemption of visas, and form a red alliance system.
You have a speck of dust on your camera sensor. I've seen it in recent videos.

Yo Stanley’s English is VERY impressive. He has a southern accent. Very curious.
Niki's holiday vlog. Wonder if you will ever go back/be allowed back into Russia?
It's rapid development and producing products for the world 🐎
I real like your dedication on how you take your time to tell us ( your audince ) the way you live and even think (about live). I appriciate that.
I would suggest in The Philippines you go to a little city in Samar, called Calbayog. Manila is a Gorilla and not that pretty. Cebu isnt great, most of Luzon is not good, also you could go to Mindoro which isnt bad, in the main The Philippines has a lot to do. I am there at the moment, leaving soon though.
It sure seems like you've made the best of a bad situation. Travelling the world and earning money by doing it is sort of a dream job for most young people. I loved your insights into Russia, but this equally interesting. I especially loved the server robot.
Come to the US, Nikki!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Niki it would be good to visit Mindanao in the Philippines particularly Cotabato City
As a future note, you might consider teaching as a career path or side hustle. University Communication Departments would be interested here in the US...
I am watching this video while trying to recommend my videos of teaching Chinese in a funny way to those who want to learn Chinese.
If you don’t know your partner or competitor, how could you make good cooperation or compete advantageously or criticize to the point?
I hope more people can learn Chinese to get comprehensive firsthand information about China and seek more job opportunities.
Chinese is not that difficult to learn as many people imagine. Chinese primary school pupils can easily learn 3000 characters, which cover 99 percent of Chinese characters in newspapers and books.
What will you do when your passport expires ?
Those two people (Chinese woman and Russian man) have a weirdly prominent American accent. How did that happen?
maybe they are not the best people to ask about life in china, Shanghai is a special place that is not representational of the nation.
my best bet is they were probably americans until america turned against them to a point where they don't want to refer to themselves as "americans" anymore. it's no surprise that a lot of chinese-americans share this sentiment in recent days due to the backlash they get for the pandemic. the russian guy sounds awfully american so id assume he also got pretty fed up with the constant demonization of his people with the recent war in ukraine.
Hello from Paris, France
8:14 she is talking BS, I've run several times on Russian people in China who were incredibly rude to locals and refused to learn any Chinese. When she mentions "history", just a reminder: Russia was part of Eight-Nation Alliance too.
Love your husband and his culture, but don't try to sugarcoat it or show it as "superior" to other Western cultures.
3:56 Nice advanced air purifier 🤣🤣🤣
Did you meet Richard, from England?
If you go to the Philippines go North in the Cordillera or Ilocos Region :D
I still want to move to China. Such a modern country...oh and pandas!
Modern? Autocratic, surely.
