Omg, thank you so much, I have macros for my attack spells all on 1 macro, and i've noticed that it will cast the first 3-4 always, and never cast others. I added your over-load trick with the harvestin spell and it works. thanks so much.
Great video, as a new player all your videos help a lot. Do you have any advice for macro setups for boxing? I know in EQ1 we used /wait commands to fire abilities in sequence. /cast 1, /wait 3000, /cast 2, etc. The priority queue in EQ2 seems awesome but is a way to fire spells/abilities in a sequence without spamming a macro that has all your buttons in it?
I don't get the overload logic with fishing. Why would the macro run the 1st item, then the last, then 2nd? Why does it work like that? There has to be a logical reason I'm overlooking. Thanks!
It's honestly just an odd way that macros work. First item then last item. So you can spam and it will do first item, fail last item, second item since first item is on cool down, etc.
Thanks for the response Bear. Ok. First, Send in pet, heroic opportunity last, second spot would likely be HO starter spell, etc. sucks as a Templar. Near impossible to find a group under level 20. Mercs need little healing, so when you get into a real group, you have little to no experience healing. Everybody thought I was an amazing healer when I played when the game came out. I guess 20 years off makes you a little rusty. 😂😂😂
Question - when you do your macros, I'm assuming one key press casts the first available spell/ability, and the last/overflow, (I used the spell that triggers the heroic casting chain), and you need to press the key again and again to cast the other spells/abilities? I'm just getting back into the game after being gone about 18 years and it's a lot to take back in. I used to give classes to guild members and people I grouped with. I didn't even remember how to start drafting a macro again until I watched a few videos and yours yesterday. Thanks!
Correct. The macro does the first ability then the last. So if you wanted to make a priority macro. Press it once to cast the first skill, then continue to press for the second skill.
A good tip for DPSing down adds in raids is to make sure you're putting the text up in a chat bubble when you spot the adds so other players can easily spot the chat bubble pop up. People don't watch text chat well enough, and chat servers may have people talking over one another.
I started doing the 1 button macro for basic dps abilities because there are just too many abilities that do just basic damage. I know it's bad but it free's up some clutter from my hot bar which I think really helps. At least that's how I feel about it
It's definitely not all bad! You can operate at like 90% doing a one button macro and maintaining debuffs and dots. About 2h into raid I start getting a bit lazy and use one too!
Tried making my first few macros. Is there a reason why the spells don’t go in order and why I gotta press my macro button again to cast the skipped spell?

No problem at all!

I'm not 100% on that.

Great video. I have used macros before but never new about the overload with fishing. Thanks for that!
Yeah! You can use any of the gathering skills.

Macros do the first and last thing in the macro - then the second and last thing - etc
@@bear.necessities thanks!
