Honestly cant believe that Teardown has come so far in its development. I remember when it was just a tech demo saber was showing off on twitter, and now its an entire racing game? Its pretty crazy ngl
There's alot of Eastereggs for us Swedes. "Almondmans farm" translate to "Mandelmanns gård" which is a famous TV program. I think "Glennburg" is a reference to Gothenburg, there is an old joke that everyone for Gothenburg is named Glenn😂 There's probably more that i missed
The fact that the starter car is called "Ladoga" and has a skin "Zheegul" while looking like a spitting image of VAZ 2106 is definitely a welcome surprise for the ex-SU players xd
I really wish the missions in the DLCs were a little more difficult, though. The Art Vandals expansion had a quite difficult mission in it and it was so satisfying to have to make full use of the game’s physics to beat it.
If you liked this style of derby/car racing with destruction, you may want to check out Wreckfest (even just personally) there isn't environmental destruction, but its great for everything aggressive racing.
Scrapman, if you are ever in need of money, there is a special demolition derby that is unlocked after completing the "Folkrace for Newbies". It's called "World of Harvesters" and it is a pretty good source of money alongside missions. Wrecking cars is pretty easy, as you play as the only combine harvester, but if you're not careful, you can lose a lot of health quickly
You should do a pvp race where you use some of your old creations like the spike strip or sticky mine, and only 1 smart cannon for a consistent weapon. Usual no repair in first.
Man, this one was funny. There were so many times that I disappointed said "scrap man". Like not paying attention to see what the races were about first, or not lowering the crane arm before the vending machine cut off the arm. Also, scrap man, the white bar at the bottom of the screen in the second race was a health bar.
There is something about Swedish game devs and making realy good creative block based games. Minecraft, scrap, teardown and trailmakers (altho thats from denmark)
Sucks the original dev sold out and now the new company just pumps paid dlc... i talked to the dev on facebook before he released teardown. His fist concept was a survival with the giant spiders trying to break into some shack. Wish he would have kept the original idea
