Me to....👍
I also have 2018 ST ES and waiting to hit my 600 miles break in :). I am in love with the bike :)
tiger6102 Love my 2018 ES also. Put the OEM panniers on yesterday.
Altrider protection is just great. I have about 35000 kms on my 2016 Super Ténéré, I do about 30% off-road and have dropped it more than 5 times.. no single scratch on the faring thanks to altrider (only lower) crash bars. One crash was a real hard slider on rough gravel road at about 50km/h the gear shifter was a bit bend and the altrider crash bars were seriously scratched but with a bit of sandpaper and black paint it's invisible again... Most importantly, the altrider crashbars didn't bend a mm and no single scratch on the faring!
The altrider skidplate also did its job as it should.. The number of times I hit the ground and rocks!!! Remove the skidplate hammer out the bottom dents, resprayed with black paint and again like new.. these altrider protections are rock solid and really do what they promise to do. I'll make a video soon on the crash bars.. to be honest there is a little negative about them if your bike needs maintenance... The left faring doesn't come off easy without risk of scratching it.. So loosening the crashbars at the engine left side bolts to tow it away from the bike and get the left faring out makes the paint come off on the front where the 2 crashbars join so you better remove the crashbars totally.
Otherwise I never regret having bought the Ténéré. Priority 1 was reliability.. I wanted a bike that will take me 1000's kilometres fully packed and with pillion on my holiday destination and will take me back home without hassle.. the super Ténéré is the bike that gives me that confidence.
Hi, how do you like the gear shift on the display ? many complain about not being informative
saludos, desde medellin colombia, super tenere 1200 la moto de mis sueños
madstad screen, madstad bracket and the MRA x creen are my most useful mods on my T. I would go for the smaller madstad screen because the 22 inch shield is too big to allow for the most bracket adjustability.
For the windscreen I put on the MRA touring on top of the screen...really worked well. Had a madstad on my last bike and this works a lot better. Already have several thousand miles of use and thumbs up. For panniers and top case take a look at the Bumot brand cases. The friction hinges are awesome and the fact that they open toward you the pannier lids acts as an extra prep surface. We took these panniers up the west coast earlier this year and they were fantastic. Just a thought. I need a bash plate so I plan to take a look at the one you suggested.
even btw cars start breaking down after the warranty runs out. I know cause I owned 5 bmw's
I really like your Super Tenere, I’ve done demo rides twice on the bike and thought it was great. I haven’t decided on my next purchase yet but this is definitely a contender.
Check out Givi for all kit S10. Had on my last two beemers and great gear
Must 2017 super tenere come from the factory with heated grips
Greetings from OZ brother. I am considering the Tenere, the GS and the new Triumph Tiger 1200. Price wise, the Yamaha wins hands down. The Tiger and GS are obviously kitted out with more electronic gadgets, but you pay for those. The decision I have, is would I really need all the fancy gizmos? Enjoy the videos, and stay upright.
Andrew Edmond , get the Tiger or Tenere; you will regret getting the GS
You need a GS-Killer Sticker 😁
Super Tenere Safari model.
You can have offline Google maps set up without going into data :D
Yamaha doesn't build any junk. I had a 2012 super tenere and now I have a 2017 super tenere. I had a 2017 Africa twin that I trade in for the 2017 super tenere and never looking back
