- This week, I'll help you track down those annoying RF birdies, clicks & +20 over issues that are bound to plague every Amateur Radio operator at some time in their life. I'll also preview a digital message encoder/decoder for the Elecraft KX2 & KX3.

Thank you Rob for the video. I too had strange encounters with noise, I thought it's worth sharing:
1. The "monster noise" I had once covered all the bands from 20m up to 70cm, S9 - S9 + 10. The culprit was a certain type of LED lightbulb. I strongly suspect those wouldn't pass the FCC/CE tests (despite having those marks on the packaging). Changed them to a few well-made ones, and all the noise disappeared.
2. A strange pulsing / cracking noise appeared randomly on most bands. A short investigation revelaled that it's my ethernet switch to blame. More specifically, when a cable was plugged into it, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE OTHER END, the noise appeared, probably due to the switch trying to discover a device on the other end, but the cable wasn't terminated properly.

Ethernet has something called auto-negotiation pulses, these pulses are sent over the Ethernet cable to indeed discover a device on the other side and negotiate a common standard. My guess is the unshielded twisted pair acted like an antenna

I have one of those remote switches thats controlling a pedestal fan and where I need it there must be some type of interference because it's hot or miss if it works but if i go on the other side of my room which is maybe 20 feet away the remote works great. I have an RTL-SDR dongle and am trying to find the source.

I'm sure I've got a neighbor with a plasma TV that doesn't get used all the time, maybe in a kids room.
I was able to kill a LOT of noise on 40m after tracking down a noisy wall wart in my own shack!

Other than a welder, battery charges are the worst emitters of dirty power. Try reading the output ever with a True RMS multi-meter and you are not going to get a valid reading. I discovered this while trouble shooting why my 12 volt fridge wouldn't run on my boat until I took the battery charger out of the act. I put my meter on it without getting a reading yet, it does indeed charge my batteries. Go figure. In commercial electrical applications we use to have to install isolation transformers upstream from these things to CLEAN UP the noise. Good Video. Thanks.

Hearing noises which only that individual can hear and don't know the radio frequency? How to find it's radio frequency as well.
Noises here is communication which others are unable to hear.

oh man do i have rfi issues in my subaru great video and now what can we do to eleimenate the rfi in our cars
T. Is keep hearing voices which others cannot here. And when these voices are caught on Infrared camera, it's very hard to understand what they speak but T. Is hear it clearly.
According to me
1) Maybe something to do with digital recording or analog to digital etc
2) The Infrared camera had 44100 hz frequency so can be taken 22050 hz but still could not hear it clearly on audacity.
My question is how to record it clearly and then hear it clearly.
Please help me out.

I have RF noise, When the radio is connected to a 12v car battery, Turn the house power off and it goes away, I unplugged everything and it is still there :( i can only guess it may be my solar panels

Have you looked at filter your AC input. Why it's getting worse because the FCC is not checking all Chinese crap coming into the country. Yes it works.
