Great job and glad he likes it, I have just upgraded to a 2000w 72v diy ebike which is pretty fast but only got a 45amp controller at the moment but still gets me around 45 mph which is scary on a 12 year old mountain bike lol take care gaz ✌
LMAO, yes just 45mph is dangerously fast, especially if bike is very light, lol. Hey, Ive been at that speeds and man, my thoughts on a flat out, wipe out, or a bump that send your front up was too much for me to have on my mind while going that fast at 45mph. I use these "Topeak Versa Mount" things to mount stuff all over my aluminum frame ebike. They are kinda pricey, but they work well. My battery uses 6 of them, but that's cause it has to be installed on the top of the top tube. I have not been nearly as fast as you guys, but they hold up finr for me on offroad...I went 40kph down a pot hill filled gravel road and nothing budged at all. I do loctite everything though (nail polish works in a pinch if you got any women around).
Yes it does, but I don't like fat tyres because of maintenance costs, and the pigs would give me a hard time if I rode these kinds of bike. I'm really looking at the bafang mid drive 1000w and a fardriver controller if it's compatible
@@nicod974 not sure what you mean about the maintenance of the fat tires. I replaced the original tires with some low drag tires, and I’ve gotten over 2000 miles on them. Only just had to replace the back tire due to wearing it out. They were a little more expensive than others I could have gone for, but 2000+ miles is not too expensive.

Hey E-BG ( should use the E-BG as optional title on ya gears) Just wanted to get back the basis of my latest Fat Tire 2000watt Tonka Tuff DIY Dual motor. I had mention before of at times when going fast you want ebike to be balanced evenly ( some like their frames light as possible, while some need the extra weight of frame used, torque of speeds etc) first thig I noticed of my new Fat tire was how too light it was in front handlebars of the type of power ( 1000watt gear are newer ones) of extreme power NM as the more weight I had in back, the severe wobbles of controlling handlebars of not going over 12mph of such serious front lift on front tire, I knew doing Dual Motor ASAP was the right thing to do. Now with Front motor of a perfect balance, I speed thru same speed bumps at 24mph and faster, My bike is planted with just the lifting of frame from my dual shocks of riding thru of full control and the balancing is a factor depending on preference of rider, frame used rear overall weight, etc. It feels HELL A GRAVY of my bike firmly to the pavement of my tires with the dual shocks doing the lifting of overall handling of handlebars going along with suspension purpose. I actually have a question if an e bike can climb steep steep hills without burning up? Listening to everything you say is like going to school and try to take in everything but am clueless about e bikes . Keep it up very interesting and informative.
I gotta say, I am somewhat dubious. What's the tire diameter and rpm/v? Amperage will get you right up to your rpm/v limit, but no amount of amps will get you past it, nor will field weakenign. I get 40+ with a smaller untuned fardriver @48vdc. My 60v battery arrived today. Motor is 1500w, but I don't know what winding it uses = came from a yescom 1500w kit. It outperformed a prebuilt bike I had before it was stolen that had dual 1000w geared motors. I *was* going to upgrade the anemic controllers it came with - which is why I have the fardriver - two fardrivers actually. I have another 1500w motor laying around too - may add it also if I get around to replacing the Hall's.

I have a couple of thoughts. When you’re riding at night, please wear proper lighting on the bike. Did you independently speed test the bike to make sure that the display was correct? I have a hard time believing that a 1500 W motor could get you up to 60 miles an hour. And third, when you’re riding that fast, it is a good idea to wear proper padding and motorcycle gear. Wrecking at that rate of speed will jack you up. Thanks for the great videos.

Yes I'm concerned about that spacer normally I do take it off. Yes them disc get pretty hot. I pleased I watched video for that tip I shoud have known better all the bikes I've had. I like your videos because you explain great step by step looking at your wife's bike mine has same saddle I'm busy making it higher so I can peddle I'm using pvc same as side panels I made but half ins. It's a problem with some of these fat tyre bikes appoliges for long message keep the good work up
I actually have a question if an e bike can climb steep steep hills without burning up? Listening to everything you say is like going to school and try to take in everything but am clueless about e bikes . Keep it up very interesting and informative.
It depends of the motor, the controller and the hill too. And what more the battery, you have to take all this in consideration 🤔
Looking good 👍 My high powered mag wheel hub motor will be here Tuesday!!😁😀😀😎Now, I’m waiting for my 72v battery!! Always something!!
Heck yeah bro 💪🏿 nice!!!
yess that motor connection i got ! the yellow triangle, how yuo put it on the fardriver ?
Wow nice video bro that kid was happy 😊 your the best bro no joke 👍
Thank you, yes the customer loves it!!!!
Greeting, everything looking good there 😁👍
i got a vintage bike i'd like to covert to ebike, built 1970.
Very nice, we dang sho can do it!!!
cool, but i'm piss poor broke.. @@E-bikeguy
@@Jestr86 I feel yah there,,me too I had to save like crazy to build my ebike, definitely the struggle is real !!!
I have another 1500w motor laying around too - may add it also if I get around to replacing the Hall's.
freedoommmmmmm ... lucky kid, what a Dad.
Great job , I put normal wheels on same vivi frame and a Bafang center hub motor
Plenty fast and torque
Vivi mosfets blew out in a month ,that's why I upgraded
Put a step down voltage regulator to run a FOG light as a headlight, relay uses old 6v lamp to enable
Oh ok , and that's a major upgrade you did to that bike over stock
Man, as a mechanic working on customers stuff you really need a space to do it..... perhaps an 8x8 metal shed w/ lights so
you don't have to do it in adverse weather or in the house. Christmas wishes huh? I think ya need that next step to be able
to do even better. It's hard working w/o a nice space for your tools -n- stuff. On to the video, peace & be safe out there !!
Lol yes, I'm planning on moving to a bigger house, it's hard to find one in our budget
@@E-bikeguy ~ I know it all too well my brother... something good will come. Just be ready. peace
That fardriver controller is where its at
I definitely agree 💯
Merry Xmas!
This looks like fun let me go get my ice cream in my milk. I just signed up for the Facebook group so I can get more videos.
He did it AGAIN!
Wow beautiful. How many amps the battery pumping out?
Yeah he's the best EBIKEGUY YOU ARE THE MAN RESPECT PLEASE SAY TO PEOPLE YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE AFTER UPGRADING TO A TOMMEBIKE OR TOMMEBIKE JR BECAUSE THIS IS NO TOY AND RECREATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND EXERCISE !!!!
Thank you 💯 for real!!
What's crazy is I'm riding on a 1500w hub motor and best I seen is 32- 33 miles per hour.😮 (52v battery)
I got that on a 750 watts at 56 volts
Shunt mod it
Shunt mod it
@dahman9672 shunt mod huh,,,you sure about that,,this isn't a bafang mid drive..it's hub
Hi
Yeah I think 1500 is good enough for me, I’m gonna build up my Riding Times Z8. Thanks for the motivation your video is golden. Thanks again
Thank you so much 💯 1500w is the sweet spot
I see! I just checked my specs on my bike it says it’s a 1500w PEAK Rear Gear Hub motor, 48v / 15.6ah Removable Battery, question is do you think of I swap the controller for one you used do you think I’ll get the speed and torque you got out of your conversion? I’ve seen a battery on Amazon that gives the Motorcycle look even the more, I’ll send you the link.
@kingcryptobro800 yes but you will need a battery like 40ah and depending on the amps the battery can handle you will definitely go faster
hey they make a cold weld aluminum rods you can weld with a normal propane torch
Oh yeah, they definitely do.
preaching to the choir i take it@@E-bikeguy
That's so cool!
3:39 what kinda nuts?
@E-bikeguy do you repair ebike too,
Why yes I do!!!
@@E-bikeguy I'm in Jacksonville will that be a problem, it's a 1k watt rear hub no name kit problem is one day the wheel stopped responding it get power it's just the wheel dont spin.
@@mrbenjaminvincent ok definitely something to look at check you motor cable make sure it's not cut at the dropouts
@@E-bikeguy I spoke to someone before and they said it might be the hall sensor but I don't know what that is once I get the tools to open the Hub motor up I look inside and Google what does stuff is and what needs to be done I guess thank you
When Dad says its fun its fun.
Nothing better than a happy customer, great build. 👍👍
Thank you very much 💯 they love it...
This is really cool, so like how many Amps is going to this 1500w motor from the controller
Thank you 💯 about 350 phase amps to the motor
bro awsome you could litertaly make you're own brand off this is awesome
Thank you 💯
Hi new to channel do you do pots list for customers that want to build their own?you have a greatchannel
I have a few on my play list, I definitely appreciate it.
He needs a helmet 4 christmas now😂
Subscribed! Could you list build parts please?
60v 20ah battery i made fardriver 72360 dkd display 2000w hub motor 24in wheel
@@E-bikeguy awesome thanks! Im new to the hobby and there are so many options out there. I don't want to build something that has issues or doesn't work well right out of the gate. My thoughts are a 26 inch mountain bike hard tail aluminum frame, rear hub motor, added disc rear, with regen capabilities. For the street with some hills and top speed around 45.
What controller u used and what battery voltage and amps is the battery
It's a fardriver nd72360, and the battery is a 60v 30ah 21700 LG cells 150a peak
Yes we tested the bike with my son before I gave it to the customer, if you still don't believe it can do 60mph check out my other videos
NICE
I have a 1000w 48V AW rear wheel conversion kit, the controller according to the reviews is only rated to output 700W. How should I go about upgrading the controller (I am also looking to upgrade the battery eventually to probably 52V or 60V). Im trying to upgrade the speed on the thing without breaking it.
Ok the sabvoton controller 7245 is a great option for power without the stress of the components.
Nice Build!
Thank you 💯 the owners. Love it
@@E-bikeguy I'll bet they do. That young man had the biggest grin on his face when he was riding it the next day.
Have the motor wire coming out towards the front of the bike. Makes for a cleaner install.
@mrmurder75 yes I agree
whats the cost of this convertion?
About $500
does it have pas assist
With the fardriver controller they don't have peddle assist
@@E-bikeguy all fordriver dont pas assist?
You are awesome man 👍
Thank you very much
Laugh out loud no pun intended my man said oh my gosh my yard is so messy today like that happened yesterday all of it at the same time
I'd like to see the trike build... does it have a mid drive? That's why I'd like to talk to you
Ok we plan on the build one email me at theebikeguy08@gmail.com
How much miles there so him is going?😅😊
Hi, I’m in the process of building my own e-bike. Was wondering if I could send you a video of what I have done so far, and I need a little help with the controller and information of the brand battery I should purchase. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I want to build a ebike like this but the wiring is a much need some help
Nice dude🤙
hello can you send me the controller you used for this kit? i have the same exact one, thank you.!
What ah is that 60v battery

Hey hey bro iam from Syracuse ny I am interested in your set up with the type of bikes that you use
Ok just let me know
Nice work on his bike.. I’m looking for a mountain bike right now so I can convert it.. or you can do the job depending on how much you would charge me?

Thank for being apart of my community and yes you can upgrade your 1500w similar to this
Ok I was wondering would you be able to help me convert my 1500w and if so how much would you charge?
I have a 52v28`.8 amp hour 2000w e bike kit do you think I can run a fat driver controller it does 35mph can I use the far driver controller for more power and speed
@@NathainHornung yes get the fardriver 7235 controller
can you send me the kit you used??
Nice video! Consider fusing your setup, the power of these builds is scary. I've been asked a few times to build eBike. Curious how much you charged for labor. Keep it up bro 💪💪
Not much, when it comes to labor I'm pretty cheap and give you a good deal
Hello I like your channel because you build some great bikes I've got a question. I had 750wat so I upgrade to 1500wat kit controller 35amp +1 sw900 display 34mph my PAS isn't working it did and went dead contact seller can't send messages because when I set bike up the bike shot off lucky no one was hert that hasn't happened before. I think the problem is controller I can get 40amp but can't use sw900 display or 45amp which I can yes display but the seller said my wheel might get hot so this kit is 5 levels of PAS throttle always on so are 1500wat wheels all the same motor and what would be best controller to use thanks ps. I I don't want to go 60mph like video but like 40mph
I'll answer your questions in a few I'm Christmas shopping lol
@@E-bikeguy thanks just to say I've got 2000wat 45amp 52v that does 43mph. I bought a fat tyre bike I made video it's on short videos made samside panels in 75yrs old still like ebikes. Enjoy your Xmas shopping looking forward to reply I've changed magnet and sencer still won't work checked settings. According to sell he said our kits only work on PAS 5 level throttle all time on 2000wat water I've got 5ir 9 levels on throttle as well as PAS I hope the circuit in wheel is just for a certain controller it cost £399 thanks again
At least one thread rivet added to the drop tube water bottle (2 spots) for the battery dock bolted for strength if the bike takes a side ways fall.
Great video lots of information definitely going to sub
Thank you 💯!!!!
how would you set it up with a mtx 2000w hubwheel ?, i only gone 53.75 kmph. also fast on bike, but not that fast. would not know how to put a better controller on it.. i dont know anything about all the wires. my mtx got a 3 point power contact point. with standard sinewave 35amp controller. and 52v batt. Greets from The Netherlands. if i want to change it, i need to change alot then. connector from normal 52v batt. to connector and the power cable from motor to controller.. i dont know how to do that.
Hi I ordered mxus 3k turbo coming with 48v 72v 80a black controller my question is if I change the controller to sabtovon 150 A controller will it work? I know hall sensors connector different if I change the hub motor hall sensor connector to same sab connector will it work if yes will it make motor any faster? Or what controller would you recommend? Best?
@garyfern7653 yes all you have to do is do a hall test to detect the offset angle of motor and it will run just fine
Bro! How much to convert the 48v to a 72v round battery?
I really don't know I have to do some calculations.
@E-bikeguy let me know, it's for the YYG BR100. I want to put a mid drive on it and keep the hub motor but it'd be cool to use the stock battery 🔋
No one on RUclips is modding their batteries, just buying replacements and finding mounting spots lol
