Hi Moneyhub, thanks for the video i find it very informative. I would like to ask what is your thought about importing cars from Japan?? i got to find out its cheaper to import than to buy here in Auckland.
We don't have a guide on it so can't advise - sorry!
Hi Moneyhub. Thanks for the video. Is there any way we can buy second hand cars from the owner rather than the dealer. I know we can search Trademe for cars but the dealers must have their own way to get cheap cars and make a lot of margin on top of it. Is there anyway that we can ask those potential sellers to sell cars to us rather than the dealers? Is there a website that I can tell everyone what car I want and the seller will contact me? Thanks
Unfortunately not - you may have to post on Facebook or on Neighbourly; it's very seller-driven.
@@MoneyHubNZ Thank you mate.

in terms of overall living I'm in a pickle. looking to move and rent but decided whether to live close to inner city or out in the 'burbs
if I live out in the suburbs, a car will need to be a must to do household chores such as grocery, get to and from visitations, and, just overall a lot more annoying as it's a minimum requirement to move around. but the rent is so much cheaper.
opposite, inner city living rents are more but I've done an analysis and that even after the price difference to the burbs, if living out there savings on rents gets thrown into the ongoing costs (assuming buying with cash in hand) of a vehicle anyways, but, with the added downside(?) of owning a depreciating asset that has potential of becoming a money hole.
But it also doesn't feel good to throw money at the landlord class, esp in WLG.
