Iceland certainly is one of the more challenging places we have cycled. One of the worst summers in recent history we heard made it all the more demanding. Still we enjoyed every bit of it, although some of it type two fun ;) Have you ever been to Iceland or are you planning on going? It's bound to be a special experience! Have a great day, E&M
I did watch this all warm and cozy with a big cup of coffee. Thank you two for going through all the bad weather to show us more of Iceland. At least the dogs are nicer than in Tajikistan! Maudi, you are a tower of power. Eric, you are truly a lucky man. Long may you run!🎶
I'm glad you did! ☕️ You remember that well! He was actually doing his job pretty well. Unfortunately the dog in Tajikistan didn't get the chance to familiarize himself with us... As soon as we entered the property they kicked him away. Luckily we were still able to do the amazing Pamir!
I admire your calm and patience. I would have started kicking and screaming (leaky tent, endless rain, bad roads), but you two take it with a healthy dose of sarcasm. Hats off...
You guys are just the best, a fantastic video and I could see the episode with your four legged friend lifted your spirits. And that final segment with Maudi making breakfast is what makes your approach to travel video so refreshing and special.
I envy you so much. You have decided to dedicate a part of your life to exploring the world, our beautiful blue planet, despite bad weather conditions. It's a pleasure for me, to see yours adventures at your movies. I'm with you.
Thanks Piotr... especially in Iceland... Blue everywhere around us, just beautiful! We've never been to a country with so much water in all shapes & forms..
Thanks for another great video. Iceland can be a tough weather place but the scenery is so spectacular. That water crossing looked pretty bad and I'm sure the water was cold. You two make such a great team. Take care and stay safe, Al
you guys are wonderful you transmit serenity and tranquility and peace i really appriciate you two and i have absolutely loved watching your films thanks for what you do you are an amazing couple and it is inspiring to see how you overcome all the challenges that you have faced yes you are making a very very great story i am your fan from north africa
I can almost feel that ice cold rain. This what we call type 2 fun. It will be such an epic memory in the future.😊 Loved the dog. Looks like another dog that is biking around the world with her human. Safe travels. Happy belated Birthday Maudi.
What a bummer that M did not get her Birthday B&B! I see that Eric’s coping style is this: when the going gets tough, eat kettle chips!! You guys are intrepid!!
Haha, the forest with horse poo was next level I can tell you 🤣 And Kettle chips, so tasty!! If it was healthy I would eat it every day! All the best, E&M
OMG, the drone shots at the end! Had to pick my jaw up off the floor. And what a spectacular camp spot. So happy for you that you got that reward after all that hard work. Stay safe! Can't wait for the next installment.
That reminds me of 'the Mask' 😋 Yes it was definitely one of our favorite camp locations in Iceland... Although you can't really go wrong, it's beautiful everywhere...
Ahh, yet another amazing video from you two! Even in the most demanding conditions you succeed to catch just these moments, also with fantastic skills of audio video and equipment. Thanks!
I'm glad the weather improved for you guys, I really felt for you stuck in the bus shelter! I was worried about Maudi with that water crossing and so glad she made it across safely👍Fantastic video once again guys👌
Haha, we felt for us too at that moment! Kettle chips saved the day... Relative to other crossings this one was quite easy I guess... but we don't have a lot of experience yet! There must be a better way then how i did it, perhaps carrying the bags & bike separately.
Man that amount of wind and rain can make it hard to enjoy. Hope you still had a good time. Otherwise at least you got some beautiful shots. And fantastic editing again!
There are many Iceland videos but the last 2 minutes is only for you... let it tile... ... thanks, love it. By the way, I didn't just sit on the sofa and comfortably watch you standing in the rain. I drove 250 km last week in -2 to -7 °C. But ok, at home it was nice and warm and dry on the sofa. Greetings Bernhard
I have to lol when you cook, brings back so many memories of being on the side of the road somewhere throwing everything into a bowl and wolfing it down because I was starving. There is nothing like bike touring meals, no matter what you make you're so hungry it tastes great.😂
Oh this brings back so many memories. I remember camping under a house that was on a transport trailer for a day to get out of that rain. I always opted to move my bags over separately as I was worried crossing a stream like that could be a disaster at any moment. More trips, but faster crossings Watching your incredible footage at the end makes my heart ache
I can imagine, good solution! We also always look for opportunities to have some shelter... in Iceland that was certainly challenging. I think I'll opt for your suggestion next time... This crossing was quite doable, the water wasn't to deep. But we're not very experienced and I didn't know the water was so powerful, it was a close call. There were a few houses nearby, but I would be more careful in very remote places.
I really enjoy all the videos I especially like how the tent blended into the landscape certainly a great choice of color. When you make the coffee and your food it is very enjoyable. Excellent camera work as all ways I love your videos. I will be supporting you soon Thanks
Oh yeah, I got some hot Oxtail Soup fresh bread rolls, chocolate cake for afters, fresh coffee ☕- hope your a lot drier today. Happy Birthday Maunda. It's Christmas in a week so Happy Christmas and New Year to you both. What a beautiful Collie dog - they are excellent dogs and so smart.
Great video filled with even greater challenges. Glad to see you are finding ways to avoid the ring road. Stay safe. Additionally, maintaining your senses of humor under those weather conditions can't be easy. Kudos!
Well done to you both once again on producing such an excellent quality episode. It must have been tough while you were there, this was the summer time too yeah? Beautiful stunning scenery, it's great to see the grit and determination it actually takes to be on tour too. 👍😎
Thanks Michael! We were there in August... it was one of the worst summers in year though according to the Icelanders! Although it was rough, we would love to return and explore the interior and east side of the island!
Love the cheeky product placement @5:10 ! Hope the sponsorship deal works out for you 👍 Yet another beautiful video. Thank you both so much for making these. I admire your commitment to filming, Eric, but I was desperate for you to go and give Maudi a hand with that river crossing! She coped well, though.
If only for emotional support that would be a great deal 😁 Ps. I was also desperate for him to give me a hand, haha! But all good... And I've definitely learnt from that moment.
Well, you are really courageous to ride your bikes in these horrible weather conditions ! You get some rewards afterwards: Nice landscapes and lights ! You've maybe already done it, but, when you'll have time, I'll be interresting in what kind of bike do you have and what kind of rain jackets and trousers you use: if they survive to Iceland, that must be good clothes ! 😉 Thanks again for making us travelling !
We are actually planning for 2023. Still gaining some knowledge on the gear and trying to prepare ourselves for the training! Hopefully, next summer we may be hitting the road:)
Going to college in a state that has 6 months of cold weather and no car all that time, I had to endure some inclement weather but nothing like you all experienced.
Wow, you guys are determined. I hope you all the best for the remainder of your trip in Iceland. However, for your next birthday I'd head out to the French Riviera. Happy Belated Birthday Maudi.
Happy birthday Maudi...so sorry it rained... will make for good memories though...years from now you'll be like, hey you remember when it rained and rained on my birthday that time in Iceland all those years ago lol...JK..you guys are great... bicycle warriors..you rock !
I like U'r equipmant , really , 25 years ago i was traveling by bicycle in polad from board to board without eny turistic eqipment and i was deram about like yours:)

Hi Daniel! Thank you :) A bit of grit is needed in Iceland. It was summer though and even while the weather was foul the temperature didn't went down to low. In the mountains we had some near freezing moments. We always carry extra layers to put on when cold. Best wishes, E&M

A tough day in the office, so to speak!! As an owner of two Border Collies, I wonder if Icy made it back home ok? They are a lovely breed of dog but require daily exercise, most are friendly and love people. stay healthy and good travels, PS, I'm guessing you can't get Passion Fruit where you are lol.
She followed us for a while, when we approached a bigger road we had to persuade her to go away and after a while she took off.. Must be hard work to take care of two of them, indeed lovely personalities! Ha, we loved that breakfast! Thanks for reminding, we should make that again...

Wow surprised your new tent floor leaked
❤️
Although we don't own this tent for a long time we have used the tent quite extensively since we bought it!
In Britain we once setup during dusk in a wooded area, only to find out we were on some really prickly plants... That did definitely not help 😉
Could be be a lot of fun when the weather is nice... 🤞🏼🍀
Respect to Maudi for pushing her bike out of the river fully laden with encouraging filming from Eric, you guys are terrific.
Haha, thanks Craig!! 🙏
I reckon! I was wondering why Eric wasn't helping, then I realised he was filming. Doh.

Aw that friendly doggy is the cutest! 🥰
The best coffee maker there is for cycle touring. I love having a good coffee to start my day.
Cheers!
I admire your calm and patience. I would have started kicking and screaming (leaky tent, endless rain, bad roads), but you two take it with a healthy dose of sarcasm. Hats off...
Every adventure has a point where you have to embrace the suck… fantastic job powering through it!
I have a lot of respect for you. You "Always look on the bright side of life"
🙏😊
You guys are just the best, a fantastic video and I could see the episode with your four legged friend lifted your spirits. And that final segment with Maudi making breakfast is what makes your approach to travel video so refreshing and special.
Thank you Dennis! It was a special one for us as well :) All the best, E&M
From approx. 10 minutes of what a beautiful nature. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video!! Erik from Denmark.
Dogs know good hearts. ❤
the struggle ! im watching this while eating ice cream . I appreciate life more when watching your videos👊👊
You two are tough! I've now added Iceland to my bike tour bucket list. Thanks for another great episode!
I'm so glad you did, we might bump into each other as we desperately want to go back 😍
Thanks for another great video. Iceland can be a tough weather place but the scenery is so spectacular. That water crossing looked pretty bad and I'm sure the water was cold. You two make such a great team. Take care and stay safe, Al
Thanks Al! Challenging places somehow always tend to be the ones we most enjoy, we can't wait to return and explore more of this amazing Island!

That's so kind, thanks Slimane 🙏 All the best to you & best wishes! E&M
Doing anything outside in constant rain makes it tough. Props to you two! I don't think many could tough it out like you did.
What a beautiful landscape, maybe even more so in the rain. Fairy tale bikepacking.
Yes the rain does help with the atmosphere, it's gorgeous!
I can almost feel that ice cold rain. This what we call type 2 fun. It will be such an epic memory in the future.😊
Loved the dog. Looks like another dog that is biking around the world with her human.
Safe travels. Happy belated Birthday Maudi.
We wish we could take her ☺️ Perhaps one day...

Iceland or Rainland! thanks guys I'm watching this with a nice cup of tea in my warm kitchen, hats off to your spirit of adventure, great stuff
Or Windland? 💨
That was a heart in mouth moment Maudi, well done for not losing it.
Thanks, it was definitely a learning moment!!
Bedankt
Ahh, yet another amazing video from you two! Even in the most demanding conditions you succeed to catch just these moments, also with fantastic skills of audio video and equipment. Thanks!
Thanks Thomas, I'm glad you can appreciate it. At times it would be easy to throw in the towel when the weather gets bad...
Incredible adventure guys, great video. Wishing more dry days for you guys.
I'm glad the weather improved for you guys, I really felt for you stuck in the bus shelter! I was worried about Maudi with that water crossing and so glad she made it across safely👍Fantastic video once again guys👌

Very difficult but adventurer ride. Your crossing the icy cold water and dragging bike scene is amazing.
Haha the icy cold, pun intended? ;-) Thanks Rahimullah! 🙏
Yet again, hats off to both of you.
Most beutiful landscape of iceland,
Great hardwork both of you,
Love you so much both of you
Pls take care
Thanks Vikas!
Great video and creative editing. Great experience of challenging bike tour!

@@WheelstoWander No no Eric, not in one day. There were errand trips of around 50 kilometers each.
Greetings to you both, Bernhard
I am from Hannover / Germany, it is quite cold in here nowadays, and I remember you every time I cycle to work, keep worm guys, love you

Great video filled with even greater challenges. Glad to see you are finding ways to avoid the ring road. Stay safe. Additionally, maintaining your senses of humor under those weather conditions can't be easy. Kudos!
Maybe not easy but one of the most important ingredients for a healthy relationship out on the road 😜
Mooi om te zien jullie ondanks het zware weer en andere ontberingen de humor te behouden! Genoten van de beelden en sfeerimpressies🙂💪💪
Haha, een belangrijk ingrediënt om door te kunnen gaan 💛
Wow 🤩

Amazing landscape!
Hi guys , it looked fun but rather tuff in places, hope your well and taking a rest over the holidays 😊 💜.
Iceland is very challenging place for being outdoor ( biking ) ,
Weather is unpredictable!
Absolutely, we noticed that. Also the weather reports aren't always that accurate... But it adds to the atmosphere!
Respect! You guys are incredible 👏❤️
Thanks so much Joanna 😊 All the Best, E&M

I don't know why, but now I do too 🤨
I do kinda feel bad drinking my Coffee here in my office in Denver, Colorado. Cheers though, you guys are awesome! :)

I want to go to Iceland some day- It is so beautifull - Your video shows it really- besides the weather ;) - What happened to the dog - Did it find its own way home ?
You sure managed to select an interesting path :D
Especially the last part was a beautiful detour!
I was reading the comments. One person described you guy as having “grit and determination” . That’s a good description, for sure. Your faces look so red. I don’t see how you keep your hands warm. Also, there was a shot of your detailed - caked in mud. To make things worse, that mud must freeze on there.
Hi Daniel! Thank you :) A bit of grit is needed in Iceland. It was summer though and even while the weather was foul the temperature didn't went down to low. In the mountains we had some near freezing moments. We always carry extra layers to put on when cold. Best wishes, E&M
260 euro damn that’s a month of cycle touring expenses! When it gets tough out there it’s just you on your own and the mind starts to get foggy. Some times we pay the hotel and hate the experience because it’s such a rip off, other times we tough it and pay the price in other ways.. that’s cycle touring. It’s hard to deliver the experience to film but you guys do a great job.
I bet you wished you were back in the sunny UK 🤣. Steve
At times we did... 😎
Icelandic Mira!
Mira is a smart doggo. She is still hanging out in warm Mexico waiting for her buddy, Duzer.🥰🚴♀️
Apparently friendly dogs come from Iceland! Perhaps because of the climate... harsh from the outside and warm from the inside :-)
Even though it is tough wet and cold at least you are rewarded with a beautiful view and a peaceful surroundings. It is a life of a cyclist when you want to travel the World. The adventure continues right? Happy holidays to you both.
Absolutely, it's kind of addictive!
nice this video ride safe and godbless.....🥰🥰
Well done guys! What happened to the dog?
She followed us for a while, when we approached a bigger road we had to persuade her to go away and after a while she took off..
Tough life in Iceland. It's someplace I enjoy seeing but not in person. I am a cyclist but I stick to the paved trails at 68 years old.
lo bueno de Iceland es que sobra el agua a cada paso , te evitas sufrir cargando 15 litros de agua como en las rutas desérticas, es un bello pais.
Absolutely, that's very convenient! The water is really tasty too... and no need to filter :-)
Great!!!!
It's my catch up day! Silly question: How do your brakes work so well in the rain? My mt. Bikes brakes don't.
What was the significance of the stacked rocks? [ 7:00 ish time stamp ]
They actually don't as we later figured out during a mountainous section. I had a look but I missed the stacked rocks...
Very tough conditions!
💪🚵🏼❤️
Wow.. Nicc Vlog.
I respect and love you .
🙏🏼 Thank you!
Guys cycling in Iceland raining made me shivering in karachi.
Great Animation at the beginning with the satellite view. How did you do this? Which tool did you use ?
Brrr!!! I just had a couple slices of some Philly cheesesteak pizza! 🍕
What a great episode! I felt a bit sorry though with that shi**y weather 😢
Come over to Greece, we had 20oC Celsius yesterday 😊
Argh, don't tempt us!!
Do you know, is it possible come to Iceland from UK or Ireland with the ship?
cool !
Hi, those bikes seem to be 26”, don’t they?
Correct, with 2,40" tyres on them... the frame can't take any wider!
A tough day in the office, so to speak!! As an owner of two Border Collies, I wonder if Icy made it back home ok? They are a lovely breed of dog but require daily exercise, most are friendly and love people. stay healthy and good travels,
