Dear Nakshatra, Can u do me a favor? I need a 3 minute elocution about "The World is one family" For my Subdistrict competition on 3 rd October. Actually I am a big fan of u. Ur speeches, recitation all r excellent. So could u pls send with introduction and all in your own view. Pls make it as soon as possible. Otherwise reply me. Iam eagerly waiting for ur reply. hii..thank you for ur kind words. unfortunatly i m in the middle of exams.. however i will tell u some tips that i use.. 1)make ur speech as much different frm others as possible..make it StandOut.. 2)Never start with ..Respected teachers,judges..my topic today..9 out of 10 kids are going to use this line 3)start speech with a personal story,a shocking fact/ statistics or a question that gets audience hooked ..then ease into the address.. 4)make 3 parts of ur speech distinct..Intro,Body and conclusion.. conclude with passion and a punch line or a question that will linger on..change voice depth and power often to bring the impact. 5)add one or two moments of fun and family emotion ..if possible from ur personal experiences or experiences that local audience n judges can relate.. 6) a good speech is right mix of fun..facts ..emotion..and short powerful punch lines in between. 7)make it as personal as you can..include incidents in school if possible 8)give pauses where u want ur point to sink in ..rise and lower voice as necessary 9) i think writing is a very important part..u can only b as good as ur script make multiple drafts ..correct..edit..reedit till u feel its a right mix..practice with timer as many times as possible..i remember practicing some speeches upto 25 times Thats a lot of stuff i guess..there r so many things to look at whn u write and deliver a speech. I dont know ur age..ur speech style depends on ur age and ur target audience. A quick example of intro for ur topic.."The world is one famiy" Hello everyone Let me ask you something..Hv u seen the pics of earth taken from space? Yes? (pause a sec for effect.) Now ..hv u seen any borders between countries on those pics? I couldnt find any..i m sure,neither can you... Ladies and gentlemen(voice up) The world is one family..(slight pause) it WAS one ..i firmly beleive it IS still one and i fervently hope it WILL remain one for generations to come. Now say the body of your speech..find stuff from internet..add Vasudhaiva kudumbakam.. conclude with some punchlines or pledge. GoodLuck

So many thanks. She is 10 year old. If she get the speech She speaks well. That iam sure. Actually it is bit vast subject and must include all points in three minutes.
And i wrote so many scripts. I think all the students comes with same script almost. I just mentioned vasudhaiva kudumbakam connected with Shakespeare s quote. That much. And conclusion I have two but i was bit confused. So i finally asked u. Not yet I decided which one is good.
hii..i feel going with Ladies n gentlemen makes u standout..i go loud n bold with that..it hs workd for me everytime.. Do not use ShakesSpeare quote..thats common. i will add few more stuff to the speech ..see whethr u like it.. Folks..i knw all of u think that the one family idea looks so unreal ..but i beleive it isnt that difficult. Lets look at it this way.....there are 194 countries in the world. If we consider world activities/Groups/Communities at large, we have 5 common divisions across the world namely, Governments, Industrial organisations,Social Organisations, Defence organisations and Spiritual organisations If we consider only one powerful personality from each of these groups from each countries then total nos. of Representatives would be : 194 X 5 X = 970 . If these People work together and consolidate the efforts of each and every countries and organisations , the vision of world community “ One world -One Family ” - Healthy , Peaceful and Happy People is not far away .......... World wide/country wide structures are already in place, steps can be taken by world communities and Leaders towards this vision in different names and forms. We can create a world in peace and in harmony with wonderful diversity, free from racial, cultural and religious barriers, free from violence, hunger and discrimination. A world, where all “family members” take responsibility for the welfare of their fellowmen and all creation within their means and possibilities. A world where we have learnt to come from confrontation to cooperation with peaceful, constructive and creative relationships. use the conclusion below Ladies and gentlemen The world is a huge,colossal tree of humanbeings. Yes..we hv branched out in different directions Yes..our flowers n leaves hv diffrent colours But.. we stem from the same roots..we feed on the same soil and we share the same womb of mother earth. i hope.. there wil b a day whn i get to visit my grandma/sister/grandpa(pick one) in europe/dubai/us(pick one)without immigration checks,passports and visas. thank you.
