I had the privilege to fly on A350 , 2018 first time they were acquired, one of the first flight from Manila to Vancouver. So I was told by the flight manager. Did not even hear the engine started.
Nice video! Haven't been flying with PAL for a long time but This video made me excited to go home to flew again on our next vacation. A350 is a plus..last I flew to YVR was B777-300. Keep up with the videos I enjoyed it!
Thank you for providing us this amazing video! Your commentary adds to the entertainment, as well as knowledge, we are soon moving to toronto canada! Wish us happiness and luck! :>
PAL is a top airline for me, they never disappoint with service and comfort. But, I wish they would update their menu already lol! I've seen been porchero since 2016 😅
They do weigh your carry-on bags, so that would depend on how calibrated their machines are at the time. My luggage didn't go over 23, but I packed around 18-20kg just in case. As for the carry on, they didn't weigh my backpacks :)
I'm around 6 ft, so they should be fine. However, note that North American airlines (if your sons plan to live in Canada) have much more cramped seats.
As a Canadian, I absolutely hate Air Canada so I always look forward to Flying PR119 and 118 every year. . The. Service, food and flight are just awesome and a million times better than Air Canada. When I was out west, I used to fly PR117 from YVR to MNL. Thanks for sharing your video.
Canada is a large country, so it depends. This flight to Toronto was approximately 14-15 hours, but if you prefer to fly in through Vancouver, the flight will be around 12 hours!
That's unfortunate... I booked the A350 specifically because I was also trying to avoid jetlag. The composite fuselage allows airlines to pressurize the aircraft to a much lower altitude. One thing I noted in the days leading up to the flight is that PAL tends to fly the 350 on Wednesdays and Sundays, with the 777 taking over on Fridays
As much as I hope so too, the 787 doesn't seem very likely. 777X depends on PAL's profits, as they had to give up 4/6 of the A350s. Doesn't seem logical to upsize the fleet so soon after leaving bankruptcy.
I do have to say that the good in airlines can be dampened by airport experience, so it's quite disheartening to know NAIA is still like this. I would recommend the lounge if you'll be waiting a while!
I'm so sorry this happened to you! Most of my experiences with PAL have not been like this, so it will definitely help to contact the airline about this.

It's really not noticeable if you aren't listening for it!
I liked how you put the evaluation breakdown at the end , rating food , service etc. really good idea!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! PAL will always be one of my favorite airlines because it reminds me of home :)

I was honestly hoping for the Aristocrat option, but they probably changed that a while back
Where do you usually pay for the lounge? On the check in counter or at the lounge entrance?
You pay for the lounge at the lounge entrance itself, as it's a third party provider. Hope this helps!
Very good, seemed like a smooth flight but then again it's easy to say sitting in the comfort of your home, nice report though, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Are they strict with the 23kg baggage allowance. Or they will allow 2-3kg over. Also are they very strict with the 7kg carry on.

Nice...touch down bro.most important the flight is safe 🙏
Thank you for watching!
Hi may I know how tall you are because my sons are 6 ft 2 and I want to know if they'll be at least comfortable thanks.

I thought PAL doesn't have a direct flight anymore.
They have thrice weekly direct flights to Toronto!
@@KhontrastAviationit’s now down to 2. Wednesday and Sunday nights PR119 flys direct from YYZ to MNL

Can anybody pay for the lounge or is it only for business/first class?
The lounge is open for walk-in customers! During the time of this flight, the fee was 1,500 PHP per person.
How many hours from manila to canada

Direct flight is too far to america
My flight from Toronto to Manila was 16hrs, on boeing 777 that was 2018.
Do they have a plug point to plug in your laptop?
Unfortunately not in economy. Premium economy and business class do have outlets per seat, I believe.
i will be on the same flight on friday... unfortunately they will be using boeing 777-300er instead of airbus 350-900xwb 😭😭😭

I MISS HOME
I do too! You'll go to many places in life, but home will never be forgotten. Hope everything is going alright!
trent xwb is so quiet.
One of the best in my opinion, though some noisy engines have their draw as well
But the food is really a really a cheap looking one....ohh dear!..
Yeah, I believe they used to have better options
I want to finish your video but I am dizzy already :( hope you get what I mean. You can improve it more next time.. God bless
Thanks for the feedback! I'll make the movements smoother next time around :)
Hoping they will order 787 And 777X soon

Poor airport.. be aware most shop restaurant DONT ACCEPT any currency except pay by peso. Even with credit card they have minimum charge.

We need a Jolibee in all the terminals at NAIA. The international terminal has nothing reputable
I love hearing the flight announcements! Love the accent .
LOL “ EXCUSE ME CAN YOU PUT THR SHADE DOWN PLEASE”. too funny!😅
nakakaproud maging filipino
Preach!
Junk airline .. bad service .. expensive .. rude crew…
I'm so sorry this happened to you! Most of my experiences with PAL have not been like this, so it will definitely help to contact the airline about this.
