Thanks for posting these Brad. Your videos have really helped me learn to use the software I've had for a couple of years but couldn't really figure out. Wish I lived closer so I could take classes in person. Keep up the great work!
THANKS for all the good info. Your vids are always informative, although I don't always agree with your pathing methods and path preplanning. You are doing such a fantastic job educating folks, but what about the properties, such as underlay, pull comp, and the importance of these settings, and why we want these settings, and not always to rely on save 2sew. I understand you are teaching the masses just how to use the software,. Many may not know more advanced settings, but you seem very knowledgeable, so I vote for more detailed digitizing! YOU ARE AWESOME! Many thanks from me and my friends in PA! Please keep the excellent videos coming! Floriani should hire you as a virtual educator.
thanks for the kind words. I make these videos for people who come to my classes in the store and I started putting them on youtube just for kicks a few years ago. Glad you like them.
We appreciate your kicks! The word is out! "don't watch mindless TV, watch this guy Brad Martin on RUclips! Oh YEA! When your new video comes up, our network of Floriani fans tells all and whomever watches first, gives synapses of your subject matter /techniques. Lol YOU ARE A SEWING/ SOFTWARE SUPERSTAR! If I ever get to Baltimore area, I'll stop in to say thank you in person!
@Brad I am just starting to learn how to embroider and I have this software. I feel so over whelmed by it. I have tried to take a class at the place I bought it from but they charge $75 per a 1 hour class. What suggestions do you have? I want to learn how to embroider and how to use the software. I am pretty confident in my machine usage at least.
So, I have found this video from the one you posted 3 months ago, and I followed your steps on this one; however, when I generate the stitches of the object, it's smaller than the image in the backdrop. Do you know why this happens, or is this just a visual bug? The FTC/U version I have is 1.0.0 Build 2874. I have the same software layout as the one you are using here in the video. Thank you again for your time, and your tutorials are more beneficial than the PDF instructions that I can never download!
I've had other people tell me that happens to them but its never happened to me and I have no idea why it does it, maybe open a help desk ticket with floriani and ask them.
Gotcha. I'll probably ask them about the issue. I mean, it doesn't really bother me that much because I can always resize the generated stitch to match the size of the image in the backdrop; however, I'm not too sure if that will affect it when I send it to the machine for embroidering. Thank you.
and one more question, When i start to select an area with any stitch after finishing it , the area automatically jump some where else , it will shift the area up or down or etc... i dont know how to explain it exactly
other people have told me their software does that, honestly I have no idea it has never happened to me. Maybe send an email to floriani customer support
Everytime I trace using any type of stitch the stitch always comes out a little smaller than the image i outline and moves off location. How do I get over this?
I experienced this, too. I guess resizing the generated stitch to match the backdrop image would work? Have you tried this? If you did, did it affect the embroidering negatively or positively when you sent the file to embroidery machine?
I just noticed that if you have a cracked version, it does that, but if you have the demo or legitimate version, the object stays the same size after manually digitizing it.
Suraj Sandhu But what I noticed is that if you have a backdrop image, you can just resize it to match it, and the result is the colored part in the software, and not the outlines when resizing :) (I tested this btw)
+Patricia Cortez well i only make videos when I do a class in the store these days and no one ever signs up for masterworks club so it always gets cancelled.

Can't you just move the sections in a different location, like click & dragg the back pack above the white face?
Haven't seen much for Master Works.
Would love to see more for Master Works :-)
Why don't you like it to tie offs or trims?
I don't understand why you are doing the traveling stitches vs a jump or trim.
What about Master work ???😩😩😩
