    So Basically the circular breeding container is a Frick chamber am i right?

    • @6maquariumfish
      @6maquariumfish  5 лет назад +38

      Daphnia and bbs can swim around the circular container. With that, the fry will be able to find and eat them.
      Rectagular or square tanks tend to trap the daphnia and bbs in the corner.
      Small fry have limited sight and movements in their early days, fry wont find their food if food is trapped in the corners

    why you don't feed them with infusoria? artemia or daphnia Magna still to big for fray 3-4 days .. i usually feed mt betta fray for 2 week infusoria and if the male betta genetic is good i remove after 2 weeks.
    i do a lot of breeding and i shortlist all males that not good in genetic that eat the fray after hatch. and try to breeding until max F4...and keep track all your breeding table or chart.

      It depends.
      Feed the fry if you dont see daphnia anymore. Dont let them starve.
      Feed both of them during courtship (before releasing the female)
      Once the female is released, dont feed them anymore

      This is a male and female. They normally have to be kept separate, except for breeding, or else they will kill each other. Actually they can kill each other while breeding. Probably why they didn't show that part. But that's also why he kept the female in the bottle as much as possible, and then removed her as soon as he saw they had laid eggs. Also, you can keep at least 4-5 females together (no more than 10 females) in a 20-30 gallon tank. It's called a sorority tank. Even then, you have to have plenty of hiding spaces and know how to properly care for them.

    • @jessicasobolewski2580

    • @6maquariumfish

      Actually, bettas can live without oxygen aeration. But in this breeding, i am avoiding oil film build up at the surface. Easiest solution is to add aeration.
      You can add more plants if you wont add aeration. It will help eliminate oil film too

      Bubble nest builder. Definitely not a mouth brooder.
      Hard to raise the the young in colder climates like Britain, because at the stage when the young develop the labyrinth organ ( to breathe air), the air temperature has to be the same as the water they are in or most will die.
