I’m a Morning Glory guy. But but now I’m a Golden Boy. Lol Brad, this Easter Egg blows my mind man. I felt the pedal was a little on the bright side immediately and have been running the treble know at about 10o clock. No prob, but knowing these trim pots are inside for fine tuning my top end is EXACTLY what I needed for pushing this pedal into perfection territory. Well done my friend.
I remember seeing those and figuring it was something that is set at factory and to leave them be. Cool to have some more options. Yes Ben is awesome! He’s super helpful and y’all are great at taking care of your customers. Happy Easter!
Damn Brad, you know my love for the GB. I’ve opened it and played with the Easter Egg switch and love it. But I noticed the pots, I just didn’t know if it was resistors you had set up a certain way to make it sound the way you wanted without being caught by tolerances. Dude, I’m gonna go fire that ‘59 Deluxe up and see what I can make happen. Thanks so much for this. As an electronics guy, I appreciate what someone does to their circuit, I don’t fiddle around even if I can. You opening the gates... look out. 🤘🏻
I just got one of these, and it does so much. The boost side is very important to me, I really love the Prism, and have one of those on a separate board. I thought the dark blue would be my huckleberry, but the green midboost mode wound up stealing the show. My little board has like 5 gain stages on it now, a Mythos Golden Fleece->Golden Boy> Nocturne Atomic Brain. My always on is the regular channel of the Atomic Brain, and then I can do any combination, both the purple od and the green boost, one or the other, either of those modes plus the Golden Fleece. I know people complained about the early implementation of the footswitching, but they work really quietly, which is important if you are tapdancing a bit. Other than the pedal power cycling once at random, it has checked all the boxes for me.
Definitely never opened it up. Always wanted the presence a bit darker. This is awesome! Really love the GB! Side note: some of the best costumer service. Had issues with the GB at first and you guys fixed it quick and easy. Had it on the board ever since.
I just got the Golden Boy, my second JA pedal. I am on the KOT waiting list but this plenty pedal for me. Was gonna go for a Protein but didn’t really need the ODR side, nothing against it, just not what I wanted. The boost on the Golden boy is incredible.
Drew me in with the Broken Arrow (I can’t stand ts’s and this thing wow’d me). So, now there is Golden Boy on the board along side! Seriously my favorite OD across the entire gain spectrum.
Why do builders do this, Just put extra small knobs on the outside so you can make the change without opening the pedal.. tiny screws inside are a pain in the neck to reach and adjust.
Because it's the kind of thing you'll likely never need to adjust and if you do you'll do it once and forget it. Also we are always walking the line between form and function. How it works and how it looks etc.
@@JacksonAudio I know it wasn't directed at you a lot of builders do this.. It just gets frustrating.. every stage is a little different so it would be nice to have such an effective control at your fingertips. Even if you could put a little screwdriver in and turn it and not have to take the back cover off and turn it upside down.. But that's just me.. My barber pedals used to have little knobs inside for basin treble as well. You didn't need a screwdriver you just turned plastic thingy.. I'm thinking about drilling little holes and putting a straw so you can slide a screwdriver right down to the screw without opening the pedal.. I know that would ruin the warranty I imagine.. Very nice sounding pedal though by the way. A lot of good ideas packed in.. thx
Excellent video and great performance!!! I wanted to ask before I ruined the trim pots of my GB:What specific type or size of screwdriver 🪛 works perfectly to use iwith the GB trim pots inside? It will be great if you can share a link or a screwdriver model so we can get one in Amazon or anywhere and be sure not to damage the unit. The trim pots look very fragile.Thank you so much!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This will work perfectly! www.amazon.com/Screwdriver-Slot-head-Precision-Anti-slip-Maintenance/dp/B08BZSW62F/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=1.5mm%2Bscrewdriver&qid=1644430966&sprefix=1.5mm%2Bscrewdr%2Caps%2C88&sr=8-7&th=1
Please round out the platform with a Klon-style! Love the Gain Cycling and Boost on the Golden Boy I just borrowed (and presumably on the Broken Arrow)! I know the Cory Wong pedal is Klon-style, but I mean using the Golden Boy/Broken Arrow arrangement. And make it available in black. 🖤
Thank you for all your videos. I bought it the other day. It is a very nice pedal. But it is not sold in Japan, so there is no instruction manual. I would like an explanation in Japanese so I can have the text of the characters in this video. I will translate it into Japanese and create the video. I want you to prepare it somehow. Please do so.

I’m so glad you started this show. I’ve been a fan of you products for a long time. Glad to see you on this platform and you’re doing right. Too cool
So sweet of you Blake. Thank you for the encouragement. 🥰
We wait for the prism V2 🔥
