I always finger detangle with my shampoo because it helps me break up all the build up in my hair but I never thought to try to use my tangle teezer on that step. I gotta try that next wash day

I had my hair professional bleached/colored in February 2022. My 4A curl pattern did change. Someone told me to try briogeo don't despair deep conditioning mask and I did! 😁 I wash and deep condition every week with heat and about the third week I could see my curls coming back! The DC is prices but well worth it!

Have you used the Felicia leatherwood brush? How do you think it compared to the tangle teezer?
Funny enough the black brush I picked up after to double check if my hair was detangled was the Felicia Leatherwood Brush. 😭 That’s what I was using before and I can feel it more in my hair than the tangle teaser. Ive used both but my current preference is definitely the tangle teezer.

Is the tangle teaser the same as the EZ detangler tht become super popular a while back? Like how would you say they compare if you’ve tried both?
Definitely not the same. I’d say the EZ detangler is more of a mimic of the Felicia Leatherwood brush. I’ve tried all 3. The tangle teaser still hits differently than all 3.
Is this the "naturally curly" tangle teaser? I use the original tangle teaser which I quite like. Wondering if the newer version may be better tho

So I need 911 help. I have 2 beautiful sweeties that come to my home daily. They love swimming an we have a pool. But even before pool the youngest has such DRY hair It looks pretty bad. Here to find out the great grandmother thought coloring it would relax it. Again I know this is why WHITE people shouldn’t adopt least that’s whAts been said. But to be honest having 4 kids all siblings wanting to stay together. Not many was wanting to adopt. Sooo this 80 yr great grandmother here that is blood adopted all. God bless her that’s all I can say. Cause that’s a lot for anyone. One thing I want to make very clear is other than the hair. They don’t ask for anything or want for Anything. Thy are raised with a beautiful women who truly loves all the girls. You can see it. An tell by the way they are. However she is white, old af an has no clue how to care for black hair. EOTHER do I. But cause they do complain about hating their hair. I knew I had to help. But where? How? It’s not that easy. It’s a whole process an I truly never knew. I assumed black hair was just wash an go sn the natural curl etc. ohhhhh lol ohhhhhhhhh noooo it’s not. I bought so many products for these girls now I’m overwhelmed. Khloee has super short hair I would say 2 in. Very full. I bought this main an take shampoo an conditioner. Than I got this I think gel or somthing it’s called curl something idk. I got a comb to separate hair ex. I just don’t know how to do the steps like after washing
It’s totally ok for white people and other non-black races to adopt black kids, they just need to do their research and properly care for them, so don’t feel bad about that. You and great grandma are doing a great thing wanting to take care of these kids, you just need a little guidance. I suggest looking up black kids hair care videos. NaturallyCrownedUK, ChristyGior, and BubzBee are fantastic for black child hair care, but there are other great RUclipsrs as well so don’t be afraid to keep watching till you find a RUclipsr you vibe with. But to give you advice now, I suggest you get a shampoo, conditioner, and styling products like a leave-in, curl cream or butter, etc. that are meant for black hair. For styling tools a wide tooth comb, and comb or brush for detangling, a rattail comb for parting, and a spray water bottle are essential. To hold styles like twists or braids in place rubber bands (black kind you get from the beauty supply store), bobbles, and those those mini seamless rubber bands and great. Don’t tie them too tight though because tension will damage the hair over time. For wash’n’gos apply leave-in and/or cream to damp or wet hair, and throughly detangle. Then apply gel in sections, or as best as you can. Then comb through the hair to make sure each curl is defined. Let the hair dry naturally or diffuse it. Good luck, and don’t be afraid to ask for help, or watch videos.
