- Another urban exploring location we have found that we felt would be perfect for a paranormal investigation. We traveled half way up the country to ghost hunt in an abandoned house with a victorian death photo and many other things left behind. We have no idea about the history or story of this house but they seemed to have left in a hurry. We had some incredible paranormal activity in here and will be a ghost hunt we will never forget.

As horrible as it sounds, Victorian death photography is very fascinating. There was a high mortality rate in babies & children back then. Which explains why they had so many kids, most were not going to make it. Then add the fact that adults had a short life expectancy, no wonder they took photos with their dead loved ones. Still binging on old episodes because you Gents are absolutely EPIC! Much Love from Hell, Kansas, USA.💙🐉👻
I prefer Victorian mourning jewelry. They used hair from the deceased to make the tiniest, most intricate, little braids for rings & brooches. Exquisite really.
Yeah, I think a lot of times that photo was the ONLY photo they had of their child, since cameras were expensive and there weren't that many professional photographers around. So I guess they figured that a lifelike photo of the child after death was better than no photo at all.
Ive been watching ghost hunting for 20 plus years,these 2 are a breathe of fresh air,fantastic duo and a fantastic show!

I am also interested in post-mortem photography. Back then, photography was expensive, and people couldn’t afford to have photographs made of family. When someone died, they would have a photograph taken of their deceased family member to remember them by.

For some odd reason (I have been known to be odd on occasion), I always seem to be eating a bowl of cornflakes while watching, and I try to time my 'crunches' so I don't miss any paranormal noises, my hubby thinks it's hilarious. Not sure "not fresh" was the best way I could have worded but I think it describes it pretty well haha.. The next episode is filmed right next door to this place and was done just before this episode actually and its one of the few times we left because we were convinced people were outside waiting for us.. creepy

Some of the photos that I’ve seen from the 1800’s that were taken of dead people were really really creepy! The whole concept of those photos creeps me out!

The thing about those Victorian death photos (not sure if you're aware), very often, the only time someone would have had a photo taken of them would be upon their death, as it was a) not very common, or easy to have done, and b) was quite expensive. Today, we literally have thousands of photos of just our dog alone ( no? just me on that one? ok...), it's so commonplace. Even when I was a kid in the 70's, there were tons of photos. But when photography was new and novel, it was very rare indeed.

What a creepy af place that was, Joe and Elliott! Quite a few knocks around the house, too. Those Victorians were weird when they actually had pictures of themselves with their deceased family members and friends.

The Victorian death photos may be creepy to some but I believe they are beautiful remembrances of their loved ones. It was quite rare and expensive to have photos taken back then, something we all take for granted. Today there are videos on RUclips of families sharing last moments with stillborn babies, I believe these babies somehow know they are loved. Good explore! 👍
Yeah I'd say we find it interesting more than scary, they definitely have a creepy feel but I guess it's just so much different to how we are these days :)
Death was so much more frequent in those times that they had a much more natural reaction to it than we do today…it’s actually our way of dealing with death that is weird.
This is my favorite channel. As they get more famous and make money. I really hope they dont do what the others have and let it all go to thier heads. I hope they stay just the way they are.

Joe, I get what you’re saying about the warm, welcoming demon child, but consider this: Your body is way more in tune than any device you carry. If you feel unease, or chills usually just on your legs, there is strangeness and possible darker spirits about. With warm comforting feelings, that’s most likely a good sign, accompanied by light feelings in the chest, tingles on the arms and back! Just some things to consider. I am wary of spirits that make contact or try to set me up, so I understand where you’re going with that theory.
This is interesting, one of the two personal experiences I’ve had included being touched on the back and it wasn’t a horrible experience, just very strange as lots of activity happened during one day at my parents house that I’d never had experiences at before or since, I believe she was trying to comfort me….i heard a lot of wheezy breathing and about six months later found out a previous occupant died at the house, an old lady with COPD.
As opposed to the one other house I lived in where I had experiences which (while nothing actually happened beyond noise) felt deeply, deeply unpleasant.
Holy shit, what an investigation. Good job guys. But I can hear something at 7:19 sounds like "here now" or "here and now". This is a crystal clear evp of a man's voice. You can hear the same man's voice at 22:58 saying "yeah". Any way to debunk this?
Omg ! I have had the biggest cold feeling . I have a really strong feeling that there are 2 women in that room , one nursing the other and both passed . Then I see that you show family photos of 2 women on that desk. I am not suggesting that these are the 2 women but it just feels like 2 women watching you. 👀 I just love these videos guys.💚😄 I typed this comment halfway through the video and then right at the end you mention a Rosemary !! I genuinely didn't hear this until the end ....it just gets weirder and weirder
