However, that is relatively deep Kaiju lore and I have serious doubts at this absolute fool managed to look that deep.

Godzilla mainly wins these fights by having help from other kaiju, or from radiation. Get godzilla away from radiation and helpful kaiju, and he isnt the best. Not saying he is bad, but if he was put in an actually fair fight, he would lose to many kaiju.

Victory of an underdog protagonist is kind of predetermined, and it's worth wondering if it's because a character won because of that factor, was granted that factor as Deus ex machina in order to win, or should even just have that factor considered as an inherent ability at some point. I'd personally argue that the way Godzilla films are written makes the latter a reasonable conclusion, even if it's far from how things work in real life. After all, anything beating Godzilla would basically be saying that the thing he died to is worse than a nuke (Destoroyah, as a Bio-Weapon, and the Oxygen Destroyer, as a worse WMD), or a threat beyond the power of nature (Mechagodzilla, most of his extraterrestrial threats). His defeat, the few times where it's occurred or has briefly *appeared* to occur, is either tragic or ominous, because he carries weight even in-universe as an avatar of these concepts. I don't think Heisei Ghidorah was "weak". If anything, the problem comes from Godzilla in that situation being Over-Powered. By nature of being created by the H-Bomb, Ghidorah effectively should've been on equal-footing with Godzilla as he "originally was." And given the human's description of Godzilla's appearance, Ghidorah would've been much larger than Godzilla, and with the ability to fly, would've undoubtedly held the advantage. Godzilla though, was Super-Charged when he came to the fight, thanks to Shindo's submarine. The fight actually seemed to be in Ghidorah's favor, showing that his wings were tough enough to shield against Godzilla's atomic rays. And Ghidorah even managed to get Godzilla pinned. The fight takes a turn after the computer is destroyed, but Ghidorah quickly regains the advantage by going in close and attempting to constrict around Godzilla; at such close-quarters combat, Godzilla can't use his rays, and with his arms immobilized, Ghidorah could've won. Fortunately, Godzilla had his Nuclear Pulse ability which quickly freed him. All I'm saying is, Ghidorah put up a pretty good fight during the movie. So I don't know why that necessarily constitutes the creature as being "weak." If anything, it showed more combat-variety than the Showa Ghidorah ever did...all it tends to do is flail its heads, turn rather slow and awkwardly, spit "gravity beams" and fly away when the going gets tough.

That article show's the stupidity of the writer, and the ignorance of the people in charge. The article was 99% wrong, and the powers in charge didn't bother to fact check it for any kind of truth or quality. They need to close their doors, find real talent or put in place some very strict rules to follow for writing and printing these things. Aside from Ghidora, none of those ' monsters ' would stand up to a sneeze from Godzilla.
Ok, initially I stood up for the Gyaos entry, because how I read it, the claim was Godzilla and the MUTO had gone toe to toe multiple times, and that was their justification for how Gyaos could fight Godzilla. The logic was still flawed, but it was at least logic, so I was trying to give credit there. But to now definitively say Gyaos has appeared in Godzilla films, really?

Leatherback, one of the higher end PR kaiju and confirmed Jaeger killer. Absolutely Swiss Cheesed by half a dozen brief shots by Gypsy Danger's plasma cannon. Cannot seriously tell me pretty much any film incarnation of Godzilla wouldn't be 1-shotting the PR kaiju with the breath alone, never-mind if it's a version with the nuclear pulse. GokuZilla from Final Wars would make it a massacre.
The original 1954 Godzilla? Godzilla '54 hasn't shown anything against acid (or any crazy stuff from later in the series). If we go by the books, Monsterverse Godzilla was weakened by MUTO EMPs. Also, if we use the Serizawa scale for feat-scaling, then most PR kaiju are a little nuke-proof. Against Leatherback, there is a good change the fight will be reduced to a melee. MegaKaiju absorbs kinetic attacks, meaning if he was sent alongside Leatherback against (book) Monsterverse Godzilla, they could reasonably toss him around. Keep in mind there's a hive-mind letting the Precursors adapt, using various kaiju with various tricks. They could also just wage war of attrition.
@@moggydoggy3004 And the original Xenomorph was borderline catatonic by the end of the first movie, lacked a true hive, no queen, tail spines, wall crawling, or other features. If we go off strictly the first incarnation, everyone gets nerfed. And bear in mind if we decide to go composite, we need to use some high end Godzilla incarnations too like Monster'verse, Final Wars, and Earth. MUTO EMPs were specifically build to counter Godzilla, as he clearly wasn't hurt by the artificial EMPs given off by nuclear detonation. Plays into their role as a rival predator and their ability is specific to themselves. Leatherback's nuke logically wouldn't do much. And the mega-kaiju's kinetic force redirect clearly has limits, otherwise it would have taken no damage. Plus it was wounded by energy and heat based weapons so the atomic breath would likely mortally wound it given it's multiple weak spots. And this wasn't a war the article was discussing, but an upfront fight. Even then given the sheer mass difference (the smallest Toho live action Godzilla is still 3x heavier than the Mega-Kaiju and Monster'verse one is over 10x heavier) the PR kaiju would get shattered on impact like a car hitting someone.
@@Tarbtano I meant Otachi to be the acid source in the first bit, my bad. I would agree with Composite Godzilla destroing everything on the list as well as Xenomorphs not doing anything, however. Godzilla '54 wouldn't have the feats to win against many foes from other Godzilla movies, such as the Ghidorahs (maybe even Showa Kumonga). I'd say it would make more sense to consider all the various Godzilla's individually rather than trying use composites. I'd chalk up the nuke EMP not doing anything to just Hollywood science, but fair enough. The list brought in ALL the PR kaiju, right? I'll concede Monsterverse Godzilla, but as far as 1954 goes, even with the weight advantage, this Godzilla is still facing what is basically an army with various abilities all at once. Again, Otachi inflicts something 1954 has shown next to no feats against. I don't see him pulling a win against that.

Mostly agree with this except for mega kaiju, the thing's only advantage is just size but it's ridiculously lightweight so it has no chance. Plus godzilla survived not one but 2 nukes and falling from the stratosphere meanwhile mega kaiju died from a jaeger falling on top of it. Highly doubt it shouldn't even be on the list at all, plus shouldn't a "possibly" be placed next to gamera? Since he is strong but still weaker than godzilla. The others can definitely beat godzilla in a fight though.

Come to think of it, and it's just a theory: Xenomorphs do have a weird way of forms and stuff. So if they were able to make new species out of crocodile, human, dog, and Predator xenomorphs hybrids. So if they were, *and I mean if they were able to*, make some sort of hybrid out of Godzilla, then wouldn't that be a possibly that the Xenomorphs could beat Godzilla? Then it'll just be Godzilla vs. XenoZilla
Considering that xenos don't much care for heat and godzilla is a walking nuclear generator, I'm not thinking the embryo would survive. If this was to happen, I think weiland yutani would have to do some genetic engineering on a xenomorph using g cells.

I obviously don't know if everything in that article came directly from the writer or if they were told what to write by someone else. Either way, multiple people have no clue what they're talking about and they doubled down on it by putting out a "revision" that's still ridiculous. I haven't seen Pacific Rim: Uprising so I can't give a fully formed opinion on that one, but you could stick the Tristar "Godzilla" in the first movie and that disgrace would probably be a Category 3. Heisei, Shin, or Legendary Gogi would probably break their rating system. You'd need to take the Grabboid from the most recent movie and make it at least 270 feet long before it even gets to be in the same paragraph with Godzilla.

Gigan shouldve been on this list. He made godzilla bleed, and i think if he was in the Monsterverse, he could probably kill godzilla. King ghidorah could do the same. Godzilla isnt the powerhouse you think, and can be defeated by other kaiju. The only reason he doesnt is because he gets power from radiation, or has a bunch of other kaiju help him. If godzilla was fighting many monsters without help or radiation boosts, he would lose against many kaiju, such as gigan, king ghidorah, destoroyah, space godzilla, hedorah, possibly mechagodzilla, and, a very low chance, but still possibly, megalon, as well as probably a few other kaiju. My point is, godzilla is like small mario. Not the strongest, but give him a fire flower and you're good to go.
I looked over that list and even if you throw out the aliens from the Alien franchise it's still pretty weak. The Host monster? No. It's way too small. Graboids? I love Tremors, but the graboids are too small. Did she get them mixed up with the sand worms from Dune? Cloverfield, King Ghidorah and the Colossal monster are okay choices, although Cloverfield's and Colossal's sample sizes are too small. They are large and powerful though. The Alien? No comment. Pacific Rim? Maybe the super-kaiju from Uprising. The rest aren't big/strong enough. King Kong? The embiggened versions, probably. Not normal-sized Kong. Again, too small. Gyaos? Not over Gamera.

If anything, it showed more combat-variety than the Showa Ghidorah ever did...all it tends to do is flail its heads, turn rather slow and awkwardly, spit "gravity beams" and fly away when the going gets tough.
Really he was just bad at combat. When the AI was in control he walked all over Godzilla. Without the AI it is even likely KG was peaceful.

That article show's the stupidity of the writer, and the ignorance of the people in charge. The article was 99% wrong, and the powers in charge didn't bother to fact check it for any kind of truth or quality. They need to close their doors, find real talent or put in place some very strict rules to follow for writing and printing these things. Aside from Ghidora, none of those ' monsters ' would stand up to a sneeze from Godzilla.
Ok, initially I stood up for the Gyaos entry, because how I read it, the claim was Godzilla and the MUTO had gone toe to toe multiple times, and that was their justification for how Gyaos could fight Godzilla. The logic was still flawed, but it was at least logic, so I was trying to give credit there. But to now definitively say Gyaos has appeared in Godzilla films, really?

And I know she CAN'T be mixing Ghidorah up with ANY of them... cuz not one of them breathes fire! Hell, I don't even think Five-Headed Dragon does, come to think of it...
Leatherback, one of the higher end PR kaiju and confirmed Jaeger killer. Absolutely Swiss Cheesed by half a dozen brief shots by Gypsy Danger's plasma cannon. Cannot seriously tell me pretty much any film incarnation of Godzilla wouldn't be 1-shotting the PR kaiju with the breath alone, never-mind if it's a version with the nuclear pulse. GokuZilla from Final Wars would make it a massacre.
The original 1954 Godzilla? Godzilla '54 hasn't shown anything against acid (or any crazy stuff from later in the series).
If we go by the books, Monsterverse Godzilla was weakened by MUTO EMPs. Also, if we use the Serizawa scale for feat-scaling, then most PR kaiju are a little nuke-proof. Against Leatherback, there is a good change the fight will be reduced to a melee. MegaKaiju absorbs kinetic attacks, meaning if he was sent alongside Leatherback against (book) Monsterverse Godzilla, they could reasonably toss him around.
Keep in mind there's a hive-mind letting the Precursors adapt, using various kaiju with various tricks. They could also just wage war of attrition.
@@moggydoggy3004 And the original Xenomorph was borderline catatonic by the end of the first movie, lacked a true hive, no queen, tail spines, wall crawling, or other features. If we go off strictly the first incarnation, everyone gets nerfed. And bear in mind if we decide to go composite, we need to use some high end Godzilla incarnations too like Monster'verse, Final Wars, and Earth.
MUTO EMPs were specifically build to counter Godzilla, as he clearly wasn't hurt by the artificial EMPs given off by nuclear detonation. Plays into their role as a rival predator and their ability is specific to themselves. Leatherback's nuke logically wouldn't do much. And the mega-kaiju's kinetic force redirect clearly has limits, otherwise it would have taken no damage. Plus it was wounded by energy and heat based weapons so the atomic breath would likely mortally wound it given it's multiple weak spots.
And this wasn't a war the article was discussing, but an upfront fight. Even then given the sheer mass difference (the smallest Toho live action Godzilla is still 3x heavier than the Mega-Kaiju and Monster'verse one is over 10x heavier) the PR kaiju would get shattered on impact like a car hitting someone.

Godzilla '54 wouldn't have the feats to win against many foes from other Godzilla movies, such as the Ghidorahs (maybe even Showa Kumonga). I'd say it would make more sense to consider all the various Godzilla's individually rather than trying use composites.
I'd chalk up the nuke EMP not doing anything to just Hollywood science, but fair enough.

I'll concede Monsterverse Godzilla, but as far as 1954 goes, even with the weight advantage, this Godzilla is still facing what is basically an army with various abilities all at once. Again, Otachi inflicts something 1954 has shown next to no feats against. I don't see him pulling a win against that.

Mostly agree with this except for mega kaiju, the thing's only advantage is just size but it's ridiculously lightweight so it has no chance. Plus godzilla survived not one but 2 nukes and falling from the stratosphere meanwhile mega kaiju died from a jaeger falling on top of it. Highly doubt it shouldn't even be on the list at all, plus shouldn't a "possibly" be placed next to gamera? Since he is strong but still weaker than godzilla. The others can definitely beat godzilla in a fight though.

Come to think of it, and it's just a theory:
Xenomorphs do have a weird way of forms and stuff. So if they were able to make new species out of crocodile, human, dog, and Predator xenomorphs hybrids. So if they were, *and I mean if they were able to*, make some sort of hybrid out of Godzilla, then wouldn't that be a possibly that the Xenomorphs could beat Godzilla?

Considering that xenos don't much care for heat and godzilla is a walking nuclear generator, I'm not thinking the embryo would survive. If this was to happen, I think weiland yutani would have to do some genetic engineering on a xenomorph using g cells.

To me, the Xenos and the Pacific Rim kaiju are NOTHING compared to Cthulhu or Ultraman Belial.
I obviously don't know if everything in that article came directly from the writer or if they were told what to write by someone else. Either way, multiple people have no clue what they're talking about and they doubled down on it by putting out a "revision" that's still ridiculous.
I haven't seen Pacific Rim: Uprising so I can't give a fully formed opinion on that one, but you could stick the Tristar "Godzilla" in the first movie and that disgrace would probably be a Category 3. Heisei, Shin, or Legendary Gogi would probably break their rating system. You'd need to take the Grabboid from the most recent movie and make it at least 270 feet long before it even gets to be in the same paragraph with Godzilla.

Gigan shouldve been on this list. He made godzilla bleed, and i think if he was in the Monsterverse, he could probably kill godzilla. King ghidorah could do the same. Godzilla isnt the powerhouse you think, and can be defeated by other kaiju. The only reason he doesnt is because he gets power from radiation, or has a bunch of other kaiju help him. If godzilla was fighting many monsters without help or radiation boosts, he would lose against many kaiju, such as gigan, king ghidorah, destoroyah, space godzilla, hedorah, possibly mechagodzilla, and, a very low chance, but still possibly, megalon, as well as probably a few other kaiju. My point is, godzilla is like small mario. Not the strongest, but give him a fire flower and you're good to go.

I looked over that list and even if you throw out the aliens from the Alien franchise it's still pretty weak.
The Host monster? No. It's way too small.
Graboids? I love Tremors, but the graboids are too small. Did she get them mixed up with the sand worms from Dune?
Cloverfield, King Ghidorah and the Colossal monster are okay choices, although Cloverfield's and Colossal's sample sizes are too small. They are large and powerful though.
The Alien? No comment.
Pacific Rim? Maybe the super-kaiju from Uprising. The rest aren't big/strong enough.
