I visited a few shows, you doing in Austria.
And I had a few drinks with Richard the bass
player afterwards. I always remember the
confidence you playing the Guitar and singing.
Glory days for me, thank you for your lessons on this Channel. I love to listen to you and practice the stuff you show. Thanks, good to meet you again!!

You have an Island as a backyard..!.
Anyhoo, on acoustic I finger pick the same way, just thumb and 1st finger. I can pop my 2nd digit in when I want to.
This came kinda naturally to me so it's comfortable for me, always a good thing.
I strum with me thumb on acoustics, or the nail of my 1st finger. For some reason I just don't like strumming with a pick on acoustics or nylon strings, but I have no issue on electrics..Maybe it's the string spacing..
But a few years back now I discovered the very sadly missed Mr John Prine and he blew me away. Same thing, thumb and a finger, basic open chords and a capo when needed. Yet the sound he got from just this simple way of playing is gorgeous.
I remember everything for instance .. and from that Blaze Folley.
Goes to show less is more. Keep it simple stupid as the saying goes.
That old guitar has a nice tone doesn't it, very Bluesy.
I don't have one a hundred years old .. but I feel a hundred years old sometimes.
