I had the same initial opinion as some of the negative commenters at first. But I recommend watching the extended gameplay. It gets a lot more interesting! Am actually quite interested in it as a light family game now.
yup, folks who dismiss this as "boring roll & move" are really missing out on something sweet. there's a good reason it was nominated for Spiel des Jahres! :)
Thanks a lot! Yet another game that has peaked my interest because of your gameplay. I didn't go the whole distance and pledge, just pre-ordered from Board Game Bliss. No expansions, but 40% the price. $120 is too steep for me here in Canada.
Few bad hand of cards and you're set to lose basically. They should have put some other means to move beside cards since this is almost like roll and move mechanic, but without the dice.
I watched this for rule clarification: at 12:20 you get the purple tile after you take the treasure... Are you sure you don't also get the reward from the purple tile?
Hey Rahdo, love the videos. Have you considered busting out two little card holder racks for games like this? Might make the handheld vids for hand management games a little easier on you. Thanks keep up the good stuff
Ummm you dont play with cheaters. And its pretty easy to see if someone is messing with their hand. Who the hell do you play games with...nobody cheats in my group.
Also, in this game it would be blindingly obvious if someone cheated because you can see the backs of the cards and how they manipulate them. (You had better not suggest the reason you don't want to play e.g. Roll for the Galaxy is because you expect people to cheat, though, unless you don't want people to play with you at all.)

you build your hand and you plan 4 or 5 turns in advance, so you've got plenty of control

opium32 s you also take the reward for the purple tile.
I reread the rules, you don't get the reward it seems

normally i would have filmed with ruclips.net/video/mEtVjLYnOys/видео.html but i was on the road and away from my stuff :)
reminds me of Cartagena in the movement a tad
Yeah, it's just a fancy roll and move. Hard pass for me, looks boring.
Your hand is kept secret, but you're only allowed access to a part of it? Oh yes, this is not a huge cheating opportunity at all.
Xrenegoznaet Depends on the kind of people you play with I suppose...where’s the fun in cheating?
Cheating is not a fault of the game but of the players.
Yet the game designer has to make at least some effort to make it not completely trivial.
